White Wedding at Montage Laguna Beach by Jasmine Star

This next gorgeous wedding is total luxury. Complete unabashed luxury. And I kind of love every bit of it. The bride and groom kept their guest list tiny which meant that they could really splurge on every detail. And although my gigantic family would never allow for a teeny tiny wedding, if I had a wedding re-do, I would do the same thing in a New York minute. Close family and friends treated like total royalty. Love that. Add to that, the absolutely backdrop at the Montage Laguna Beach, an Oscar de la Renta gown and photography by Jasmine Star and you have, well…perfection. Click here to see the full gallery.

The wedding was held at The Montage Laguna Beach. We decided that we wanted an intimate destination wedding and wanted it on the water. There is no prettier location than the wedding lawn at The Montage. It overlooks the water and beach with cliffs on the side.

We wanted the wedding to be very elegant with an attention to details. Knowing that we only had 29 people, we wanted to make sure that everyone felt that they were as special as the bride and groom. From the Tory Burch gift bags filled with Kiehls products, personalized luggage tags, monogrammed slippers and bottles of water. We also had a bunch of homemade cookies and snacks! On the day of the wedding, we had personalized pashmina’s made with all of the women’s names engraved on them. We also used “fakemagazines.com ” to personalize magazine covers such as ” US” & ” GQ” magazine.

The color scheme was all whites/nudes/ivorys. We thought that a crisp white clean look would look best with the gorgeous ocean background. We did not want any dancing or music, just a small intimate ceremony with close family and friends, and a fabulous dinner with an outdoor lounge. We used tons of white hydranga’s, peonies, some roses and a combination of other flowers as well. Everything was in the white field. My bouquet was all peonies.

We used Lovebirds for our invitations, napkins, logo, programs, etc. The owner, Meghan Andalmen was a pleasure to work with and helped us with every detail. We used Monique Lhuillier’s new line and chose a beautiful cream invitation with lace. They were spectacular!

The wedding gown is made by Oscar de la Renta. I purchased the gown and veil from Ultimate Bride in Chicago. The shoes were my mother’s and designed by Rene Caovilla. I always wanted to walk in my mother’s shoes and on my wedding day, I literally got to do it. The jewelry that I wore was a combination of my mother’s and mine. The rings were purchased from Lester Lampert & Etan Borochov.

The ceremony was a Jewish style wedding. We practiced many of the Jewish traditions, including the bride walking around the groom 7 times and a Ketubah signing. D.J.’s best friend and his father were witnesses to our wedding.

For dinner, we served Spring Garlic Risoto, Hearts of Romaine Caesar Salad, Roasted Local Halibut, Brandt Farms Tenderloin Au Poivre, Mini Wedding Cakes for each guest, Peach Cobbler and In -N- Out Burgers and Fries for everyone when they were leaving the wedding.
