I’m pretty sure that today’s featured wedding is one of the most lovely, charming, filled-to-the-brim-with-personality weddings that we’ve ever featured. So much so that we’ve broken it down into two, absolutely perfect posts. The wedding was sent to us by the always inspiring team at Belathee whose photographs have given us a little window into SUCH a special wedding. Every detail was handmade by the bride and groom, every touch was thoughtfully designed and crafted by the pair or by their friends. This is one of those weddings that you’ll want to bookmark and fall in love with over and over and over again. Click right here if you simply can’t wait for part II.
From Belathee…
Maggie and Dave did what we love most: they brought so much soul and personality to their wedding. Incorporating a gray and yellow frame motif, they handmade everything from signs to programs to welcome kits to the backdrop for their ceremony. Their ceremony was intimate, personal and touching. For their exchange of rings, they passed a long ribbon across the aisles so that each guest held a part of the ribbon. They then passed the two wedding rings on the string and each guest was able to touch the rings and send a blessing. They also had two close friends sing the song “Parentheses” (by The Blow) accompanied by piano. At the end of the ceremony they asked the guests to sing along to a song Maggie had sang each day in elementary school. Maggie and Dave are huge music lovers and music played an important role in their wedding, as it does in their lives.
