From Inspiration to WEDDING: Behind the Scenes

Libby and Patrick’s wedding story is one of those that will go down in SMP history. From the amazing designers that took part in the day to the flooding that nearly stopped all of our plans from happening…it’s a story that I’m sure Libby and Patrick will be telling their grandkids. So I’m kind of thanking my lucky stars that Julie Hill, the INSANELY talented cinematographer behind Elysium, was there to document it all on film. Julie and her assistant quietly captured all of the madness, all of the stress….all of the love, all of the laughter and all of the fun, while Sarah True and I built a wedding that we had already fallen in love with. And when she handed the final clip over to me, I watched it, literally screaming, laughing and crying all at once.

So here is all of the behind the scenes goodness, made especially for you. Tomorrow, we’ll have Julie’s gorgeous wedding video.

Tomorrow, we’ll be sharing a few of the DIY projects that made the day so special, along with the complete wedding…from the GORGEOUS ceremony to the sweet but ridiculously fun reception. It’s going to be another good day on SMP.

Before I go, I just have to say to the vendors that took part in this special day…I seriously heart you guys. Sarah, you are beyond words amazing. Chase, THE best. Justin and Mary, I’ve never in my life been so inspired by photographs and Julie Hill…you are my cinema god. Love to all of you.
