I don’t know what it is about this wedding…but I am mesmerized. Perhaps it’s knowing that all of the details were lovingly crafted by the bride’s mother. Or the fact that everything is so simple and yet so stunning. But most likely it’s because I wish more than anything that I could have been a guest at one of those tables, spending hours in such a pretty, romantic, blissfully lovely place. Photographed by two of my favorite people in the world (literally, they photographed my daughter when she was 5 weeks old), Enna and Matthew Grazier…this wedding is perfection. When we arrived at Sarah and Sanford’s back yard wedding we felt that we had landed in the middle of an idyllic Beatrix Potter landscape. Sarah’s mom has cultivated an extraordinary garden on a 300 year old homestead that includes fruit trees, honeybees, a flock of geese, goats, chickens, and lovely flowers and plants. Wild bunnies wandered across the yard now and then, and the trees were adorned with candles in jars and homemade birdseed hearts. The Sperry tent was erected around an old apple tree in which Sanford had carved he and Sarah’s initials. Sarah’s mother helped create the wedding, and her creative touch was everywhere – favors were jars of jelly and honey that she had canned herself, she made not one but TWO delicious and beautiful wedding cakes. Sarah and her mom made all of the centerpieces and bouquets – Sarah’s bouquet was wrapped with a piece of vintage ribbon.
Thanks Graziers for another GORGEOUS wedding!
