Next to weddings, my love of interior décor takes a close second place in my heart. I love that a mood, personality and even humor can be conveyed with décor. This cozy Carmel barn wedding is a combo of both great wedding style and killer decorative taste. A barn, Mexican-inspired art and chandeliers have no real business being in the same venue – but low and behold, the result of that combination is something magical. Throw in some eye-catching tall centerpieces and you’ve got yourself some incredibly chic ambiance that can’t be duplicated. Seeing this wedding through photographer Lisa Lefkowitz’s lens is an absolute treat. For even more, click right here. xoxo Chantale from La Belle Bride
Lots more gorgeousness right here!
From Lisa Lefkowitz: Kyle and his family had enjoyed years of holidays and family gatherings on the Preserve, and after he proposed to Jen in his favorite redwood grove on the property, they knew it would be the perfect venue to honor and celebrate the beginning of their new life together as husband and wife. Less than a year later, in the exact red wood grove where they got engaged, Jen and Kyle exchanged vows amongst family, friends and towering redwoods – and began a celebration of a lifetime.
The reception was held in the Preserve’s rustic old barn. A family style menu, personally designed by Kyle, incorporated their favorite organic tastes of the California coast (guests were asked to offer messages within a leather bound version of the couple’s favorite cookbook so that each time they attempted a recipe they would be fondly reminded of their wedding day). The long dining tables were adorned with Tuscan linens and dramatic candelabras adorned with peonies, roses, sweet peas and local berries – all Jen’s favorite summer blooms. Enormous crystal chandeliers adorned the towering ceiling of the barn, creating the perfect juxtaposition of rustic charm and traditional elegance. Following dinner, the band rocked late into the evening, while the Preserve staff continued to delight pallets with a delectable assortment of sweet bites and late night snacks. It was the perfect evening for Jen + Kyle – filled with the love of family and friends, great food and lots of FUN!
