I’m a detail kind of girl. You dig? I imagine many of you do, given your likely penchant for a site like Abby’s, here. (: But seriously, details RULE. They are the measure of relationships, in my estimation and, while I don’t hold anyone to a standard insofar as weddings go, I LOOOOVE me a good close-up shot or cleverly thought out embellishment. What else do I love? Well, cowboy boots, pinwheels, bocce ball games and elaborate bridal suite wall paintings, for starters. And Laurie and Mark’s wedding, photographed by two tremendously talented photographers, Traci Dennis and Kellie Finch of Anne Marie Photography, has fed my insatiable need for such details… to the point where I don’t think I can call it insatiable anymore. (Are you dying to see all the delightful details at once? I get it; go ahead and check out the gallery for it all right now!) — xoxo, Alison of The Knotty Bride

Here’s the rundown from our bride, Laurie:
We found the Hoffman Haus 16 months prior when Mark surprised me with a side-trip while in Austin for a friend’s wedding. It was great to have our friends and family within walking distance all weekend and we really used all of the unique settings within the Hoffman Haus. The concept was fun, fresh and colorful! From the Koozie Save-the-Dates to the 80s band, we wanted our guests to feel at home and fall in love with the laid-back, rustic atmosphere of Fredericksburg that we adore. During the cocktail reception we paid homage to our roots with Pat O’Briens Hurricanes (Mark is from New Orleans) and Sweet Tea for Grown-ups (Laurie is from Georgia) and encouraged our guests have a ball with yard games. We had the entire property for the weekend, so there was no closing time. In order to keep the party going, we opted not to have a formal departure from our guests. Since guests were staying near by and the late-night bonfire was roaring, many guests chose to stay after we slipped out until the wee hours. We couldn’t have been happier with the memories, the pictures and the stories that came out of our Texas getaway! The bridesmaids’ jewelry was custom made by Roper Lane. I worked with the owner to design each pair to fit each girl’s personality. They were made of 14k gold and peridot by Annie Evans (owner, designer of Roper Lane) Thank you, Laurie and Mark, for sharing your incredible day with us!! All the best for a wonderful life together! xoxo, Alison of The Knotty Bride
