The overall vibe for Jenna & Robert’s wedding was that of Rustic Elegance. Jenna wanted their big day to evoke a sense of welcome, warmth and family. Her wedding colors were chocolate, rust, coral, cream and sage …
Camilla Svensson Burns was responsible for this wedding’s loose whimsical florals. The focal point was the half a dozen rose kissing balls that were suspended from the courtyard’s towering oak tree and the thick carpet of cream rose petals that covered the aisle. The bride dressed in her gorgeous Jenny Lee gown appeared to float down the aisle as if she were walking on clouds.
The reception took place in the resort’s Mediterranean-style Anacapa Ballroom. Each of the tables were draped in champagne taffeta linens with henna embroidered overlays from Wildflower. Each of the 170 guests were sent home with a mason jar full of locally produced honey as a favor. The Bread Basket Bakery created a simple and elegant square 4-tier cake, using the wedding colors of cream, rust and sage.
As the night drew to a close, the bride’s father and brother surprised the newlywed’s with a stellar performance of “My Girl.” There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. It was a deeply touching conclusion to a sweet day full of love, laughter and revisited childhood dreams. I feel beyond blessed to have been able to share in this couple’s deeply personal day.
