When we received this next wedding in our submissions box, the title really piqued our curiosity. Kim, at Geranium Lake Flowers entitled it “Enchanted Forest”. We’re going to let Kim tell you the story before diving into the images …
This wedding took place in the Columbia Gorge at a venue (appropriately) named Bridal Veil Lakes. It’s such a stunning outdoor venue that it’s hard to improve upon so our bride let us go wild with an “enchanted forest” theme that simply accentuated the natural beauty of the grounds. In order to really make use of the space, we placed the ceremony at one end of the natural pond and lined a pathway towards the chuppah with rose petals, hanging candles and birch cone bouquets, and large hurricanes filled with lit candles. After the ceremony guests were directed along the other side of the pond (also lined with hanging candles, petals and hurricanes) and they stopped to nibble at birch tree “snack stations” along the way. Once they reached the reception/lounge area guests were treated to the bride and groom’s signature watermelon martini’s before the plated dinner was served. Halfway through the night some of their friends jumped into canoes and enjoyed the water by moonlight!
And here ~ how do they say it? The proof is in the pudding!
The entire gallery is here! LOVE the little succulents and the birch bark cones and vases!! Enchanting is a terrific way to categorize this wedding! Thanks so much for sending, Kim!
