It’s been an insanely fun day on SMP…one gorgeous real wedding after another. We get so many submissions, it’s hard to devote the TLC to each wedding that it deserves. So this is a way to share a little bit more content, while allowing YOU to pick and choose the weddings that you want to fall in love with. This next one, sent to us by Red Gallery Photography is so pretty, it’s almost too much to bear. Here is a little snippet, but if you’d like to see the entire wedding, including the gorgeous Chinese tea ceremony, click here.

Kevin and I met in dental school; we sat across from each other in our lab classes and were the only 2 out of the 6 in our lab group that were single. From day one everyone joked that we would have to marry each other, little did they know we actually would marry 4 years later. Kevin is Irish-German and I am Chinese-Indonesian. We really wanted to incorporate something from both of our cultures. We held a traditional Chinese tea ceremony after the Catholic ceremony where we served tea to our elders as a sign of respect and gratitude. During the reception, an Indonesian-Balinese dancer performed a traditional welcome dance and during dinner, Irish dancers took the stage. Ultimately, our goal was to have a traditional wedding that included elements from both of our cultures.
