This wedding was held at the beginning of February 2010 in Snell’s Beach, New Zealand at Brick Bay Wines and Sculpture Trail. Anna and Dan, the bride and groom, were married on a small island in the middle of a lotus pond, part of an earth sculpture designed by New Zealand artist Virginia King. Guests mingled before the wedding in a pecan orchard decorated with brightly coloured bunting, and then made their way to the edge of the pond through a forest trail hung with lanterns. After the wedding, a cocktail hour was held at Brick Bay’s ‘Glasshouse’. A photobooth was in operation and music was provided by a roster of local DJs. The bride’s family own the property and the wedding was held at her parents’ home on the property, the centrepiece of which was an impressive floral display echoing the flowers used in the bride and bridesmaids’ bouquets.
