There is something undeniably gorgeous and alluring about the central coast of California. It is quite possible that it was made specifically for joyous celebrations; at least it looks that way every time I see another breathtaking wedding from this region. Allyson Magda, who works magic with a camera, sent over this perfect, perfect wedding for us to gaze upon. The lovely couple was married at Calcareous Vineyards in Paso Robles where they ate, drank and danced the night away under the stars with their friends and loved ones. {Warning – the following images may cause you to pack everything and relocate to the west coast immediately}

Sara and Marty’s wedding day celebration was nothing short of B E A U T I F U L ! They had two gorgeous locations, Hammer Sky Vineyards, where they got ready, stayed, and just happened to get engaged! Sara said yes, on the porch, which is also where they first saw each other for the first time on their wedding day, what a lovely circle of love!
Their ceremony and reception were hosted at Calcareous Vineyards in Paso Robles, CA. Can I just take a second here and tell you why this region is destined to be a top location for California weddings? First of all, we have world-class wine, but on top of that, there’s the Pacific Ocean, ranches, vineyards, and we’re smack in the middle of Los Angeles and San Francisco. The weather, it’s awesome, pretty much sunny about 90% of the time, and we don’t have traffic, what more can you ask for? It’s an easy place to host a wedding, if you live either in the Bay Area, or the LA area. Ok, I’ll get off my soapbox now…back to the wedding.
Logistically Sara and Marty’s wedding was a challenge. You see, the winery has a 50+ mile view – it’s stunning. So naturally the couple wanted to get married with that as their backdrop, but also have their reception dinner there. Enters the challenge. With a guest count around 150, it’s not an easy task to transform a ceremony area into a full blown reception during cocktail hour. But with the organized skills of coordinator, Kendra Terlouw, and the beauty that easily flows from floral designer, Camilla Svensson Burns, it magically happened!
The guests enjoyed the lounge and tasting room during cocktail hour and moved back outside for the reception. Beautiful touches included, solid distressed wood tables {awesome}, Chivari chairs, green wine glasses. Cuisine was an important element for Sara and Marty. Their dinner was introduced by the chef who explained the prepared meal and wine pairings, delicious! As the evening progressed the guests moved around, into the tasting room for the dance party or outside for a relaxing glass of vino near the warmth of the fire. Marty had three children from a previous marriage, and it was so much fun to see how they interacted as a family. You could tell they just adore Sara and that the feeling is mutual.
