Although the huge majority of SMP readers are brides, I KNOW there are some lurkers out there that just can’t seem to leave the wedding dreaminess behind. Well, this one’s for you girls. An anniversary shoot designed by one of the most talented photographers out there, Stephanie Tracy. The cute, cute photography couple celebrated their anniversary with a picture perfect shoot that captured their adorableness to perfection.

Alice and Tim are a husband and wife team of photographers, who really understand the importance of having their own portrait taken and do so every year for their anniversary. This year, I had the pleasure of being the chosen one and took full advantage of it by really playing up Alice and Tim’s quirky and fun personalities.
The location was in a little valley in Southern California where the Yorba Linda wildfires unleashed their fury in November of 2008. The trees now bare their black scars, but, also have a beautiful spring bloom. Black and green cover this entire area. We really wanted to create a romantic vibe that wasn’t over the top. Simple and understated elegance was the theme for this session so everything we did was based on those requirements. We found some old letters at a local antique shop that we knew were perfect. I love letters! They are so simple but there is so much you can do with them. We also had a blast playing around with some of my old, vintage cameras that I have been collecting for the past ten years. It was like capturing two kids in a candy shop while they played around with the foreign viewfinders. Oh, and did I mention the most random part were the orange groves right next to where we were shooting. We had to take advantage and pay homage to living in beautiful Orange County! Beauty can be found anywhere!”
