We feature a ton of really girly weddings on SMP with pretty details that are as sweet as they are chic. But, traditionally “pretty” isn’t the only style that we love. In fact, we kind of fall in love over and over again with wedding after wedding. Whether it’s modern, whether it’s vintage, whether it’s culturally inspired or DIY heaven. We really do handpick each and every wedding because there is just something, well, lovable about it. And this one, that Kristin Banta designed, falls easily into that very category…

Romantic, intimate and residential, utilizing rich textures and accents in cream and green, illuminated by an abundance of candlelight in a downtown space once used as an urban luxury car showroom. That was the inspiration. Guests were seated amongst reclaimed wooden benches and chairs in front of an organic chuppah in the corner of the garden. The bride and groom walked together through an automatic loading door and down a ramp, through the garden and into the chuppah at which time the bridal party joined them on either side of the chuppah.
Following the ceremony, guests were invited into the interior urban space for cocktail hour where they were invited to view a chalkboard menu to get a preview of the dinner experience to follow and could view their table assignments on chalk boards hung from the walls as the DJ mixed from the corner. Square tables of various sizes will be adorned with rich textured table top details including rich oatmeal linens and chocolate and natural napkins with green succulent detailing and organic centerpieces accompanied by an abundance of candlelight from floating votives in low glass cups. Two long wooden feasting tables will feature lush linen runners and an ornate tablescape of various colored glass vessels and organic florals and a flood of candlelight. After a four course dinner and dancing, uests were surprised with a late night snack of tray passed doughnuts, milkshakes and hot chocolate. The overall feeling of the evening was one of decadence and celebration but in a way that feels casual, relaxed, residential, organic, spontaneous and romantic.
