There is only one word that can properly describe how I feel about this wedding. Obsessed. Totally and completely obsessed. The flowers by Blush Floral Design alone are enough to elicit squeals of glee, but add to that a gorgeous gown, three perfect bridesmaids and a style that is as sweet and whimsical as it is totally elegant…well, my heart is a fluttering. Oh! And we have TONS of additional images loaded into our galleries.

Lauran and Carlos had an intimate early September wedding for 60 of their closest family and friends at Lauran’s parents’ home in East Haddam, CT located on the Connecticut River. This wedding was all about the little details! Lauran, a trained chef, wanted to incorporate her love of vintage and her and Carlos’ love of food into the decor to create an intimate atmosphere.
They were married in front of her mother’s gardening shed with vintage chairs mixed in with white folding garden chairs. Locally grown Zinnias in tomato cans adorned the cocktail tables to coordinate with the Bruschetta bar setup for guests. Hanging lanterns, pomander balls and strung orchids swayed in the breeze from the trees around the property.
Lauran’s mother, a talented gardener made the grounds immaculate and planted flowers in every nook and cranny. She also hung her handmade Sprite Fairies (which she makes from dried materials) and handmade paper flower lanterns from their pergola. The organically styled centerpieces featured Garden Roses, Dahlias, Ranunculus, local heirloom tomatoes, and other seasonal flowers. Patterned napkins were sewn by Lauran’s mother. Lauran and Carlos made a donation to the Humane Society in lieu of favors but had Nina of Les Petites Presents create a Doggie Bone Favor Bar where guests could take home homemade dog biscuits to their pooches!
