Here’s a little known SMP fact…we use Google for everything. We are actually kind of Google obsessed, from their incredibly easy-to-share and even easier-to-use Google Docs to Google Calendar, which we use for our editorial schedule. The team at Google has served Style Me Pretty well, so our announcement today (which is VERY exciting by the way) is even more thrilling for us.
Google Docs has recently (as in today) launched 20 individual Google Docs templates, geared exclusively towards the bride, groom and their adventures in planning a wedding. With these little gems you can not only keep track of your guest list and your budget, you can literally plan your entire wedding in one, uber-organized little place…from booking your photographer to managing and collecting your addresses. Oh, and because these documents live online, you can share them with your bridal party, you can access them from work, you can even edit them using your smartphone. It’s wedding planning genius filtered through Google’s smart, simple approach.
So you might be wondering where Style Me Pretty comes in. Well, we’ve teamed up with Google Docs (how awesome is that) to give each of the spreadsheets a dose of what we do best…incredible tips, ideas and inspirations from some of the country’s best vendors. And a little bit of pretty of course. So while you’re working through your templates, you can read expert advice from such vendors as Michelle Rago, Jessica Claire and Mr. Boddington (full list below). It’s invaluable information that people literally pay thousands to hear. To try out these tip-infused templates, check out docs.google.com/wedding.
So. What’s a great new tool announcement without an even better giveaway to celebrate! In honor of this incredible launch, we’re giving 1 very lucky reader a wedding planning consultation with…wait for it…Michelle Rago! Yep, one full hour to discuss your wedding inspirations with planner to the stars and dear friend, Michelle Rago. Add to that, a $500 gift certificate to Wedding Paper Divas to use for stylish invitations, save the dates, thank yous etc. in any possibly color or design combination and you’re pretty much golden.
To enter, leave a comment below letting us know all about the challenges you’ve faced when planning your own wedding. We’ll choose a random winner on March 11th, one month from today!
