Are you excited to see more of this down to earth summer soiree? I think the reason I love this wedding so much is this is completely the kind of wedding I can see my best friends having. A warm wedding under the summer sun that is just a whole lot of fun. I can hear the joyful chatter when I look at these pictures. I can just feel the love that Dusty and Macare have for each other when the gaze into each others eyes. Most of all, this wedding inspires me to squeeze my husband just a little bit tighter the next time I see him. There is no detail I do not adore. (Did I mention I have a soft/sweet spot for cupcakes yet?)
More from Macare, the bride, about her favorite bits from the wedding and reception:
The ranch with the crusty red barn and long white fence was the perfect backdrop to our wedding celebration. And the fact that the weather was so beautiful and warm, during an unusually cold summer, was probably one of the biggest blessings we could have asked for! A lady that I barely knew gave me her special rosary from Ireland, and told me to have my Mom hang it in a tree the night before our wedding. She said it would give us a beautiful day with no rain. It sure worked! I will be forever thankful for the beautiful green grass and the brilliant shining sun the day of our wedding. I can still close my eyes and feel the warmth of that day.
One of my favorite moments was running out of the barn at the end of the night with Dustin into a fabulous Rolls Royce. Not only had neither of us ever been inside a car like that, but we were ready to get our of there and have some time for just the two of us. It was so cool looking back into the barn where the band was still rocking and the guests were still dancing the night away. I was sad that the day was over, but the whole day exceeded both our expectations, and we could not have wished for anything more. We felt like rock stars leaving our reception. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
I too think it was a perfect day. Did you know that Macare’s place cards were handmade? Alicia, her wedding planner, posted a DIY tutorial on her blog. Thank you so much for sharing in the wedding with me. xoxo, Andrea from Gwyneth Paige {Couture Letterpress}.
