Before we dive right back into today’s wedding, I wanted to plop my pride right on the shelf and shamelessly ask for your vote in the 2010 Bloggies “best designed weblog” category. I know, I feel like such a politician, but the high school cheerleader in me REALLY wants to win. So if you don’t mind, we’d love for you to take a wee little second and vote for us for best designed weblog right here!
Okay! Back to business. The cute girls at Belathee are the talent behind some of my most loved weddings. Like this high fashion New York wedding. Or this decidedly modern wedding that you guys went NUTS over and that we just spotted on the pages of the new Real Simple Weddings. But I have to say. I think that they might have topped themselves with today’s insanely perfect, French inspired affair. It’s BEYOND.
With so much French country in the air, we wanted to add in touches from my Mexican American family. The papel picado was ordered from Mexican Sugar Skull–who works with an artisan from Puebla, Mexico, and does the cutting by hand–and made the room feel like a wedding cake. We also tracked down a mariachi in Paris, and it was great fun to surprise my family and friends with that amazing music. Most important import: Annabel from Belathée. Her pictures, I swear. We could have gotten married in a shoebox and she would have made it look beautiful. Throw in bright, bloomy July weather, and we were so happy with our day.
