Michigan Wedding with DIY Charm From Jess + Nate Studios

You are going to DIE when you see this next wedding. It’s beyond charming, beyond adorable and to top it off, the bride did basically all of the details on her own. It’s a total DIY affair from top to freaking bottom and in the little areas that she didn’t craft, she brought on the best vendors, the most talented group of people. Like the always awesome Jess + Nate Studios, who provided the picture perfect photography. So, while I could go on and on and on about this wedding, I’ll just let the bride and the photographs speak for themselves. It’s just so SUPER stinking cute.

We wanted to have an intimate vintage inspired homemade wedding. We booked our location on Mackinac Island as soon as we saw the “woodland grotto” ceremony site. Having the ceremony outside and tucked away in a clearing in the woods seemed ideal and was very special to us. We chose Mackinac Island as our destination because I’ve always loved the nostalgia that it brings and Rupert (the groom) also immediately fell in love with its quaint charm the summer before. With no cars on the island and a good amount of our guests coming from England, the Bahamas, California and Florida, it made for an interesting journey for everyone. One that included literally planes, trains, automobiles, ferry boats and countless LONG horse and carriage rides.

Don’t miss out on parts two, three, and four of this super cute celebration.
