Viceroy Wedding with Serious Style

We have a completely jam packed day of gorgeousness on SMP. The Jose Villa wedding that is coming up in a bit is almost too much pretty to bear…definitely one of his best and with a style that is definitely one of his most swoon worthy. But before we get to that, I wanted to share this gorgeous little wedding that one of our readers sent us. The bride and groom got ready at my second favorite hotel space for weddings, The Viceroy, which is always an INSANE backdrop for the most gorgeous pictures EVER.

The photographs were captured by the forever talented Amelia Lyon and the planning/coordination was done by Angel at Events of Love and Splendor

Ummm…cutest bride in the world? Check. Most gorgeous wedding space ever? Check. Style that is literally bursting through each and every image. Check! The adorable bride, Nancy, has actually taken this obviously great day and used it as a launching pad for her very own event coordination biz called So Happy Together. And when you see the wedding unfold, you’ll understand why!

From Nancy, the lovely bride…

My husband and I were married at the Bel Air Presbyterian Church and held our reception at the outdoor courtyard of the Skirball Cultural Center, which we decorated with bumblebee lights and pink uplighting. We got ready and took our first-look pictures at the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica, which we booked almost solely based on their gorgeous library.

We LOVE children and know so many that touch our lives deeply so we had my niece and nephew serve as the flower girl and ring bearer and had each of our 6 bridesmaids escorted into the ceremony processional by a young boy. We actually provided a separate room, games, crafts and nannies for the 30 plus kids who attended our wedding in order to ensure that their parents could enjoy the night filled with cheesy 80s love songs, signature cocktails, a photo booth, candy buffet and ugly dance contest.

My custom-made-to-rent wedding gown was blush pink and while I loved the short dress I changed into for the second half of our reception, it was really difficult for me to take that gown off! Having a locket with my father’s picture on my bouquet was very important and special for me as well. Our favors were a donation to the American Cancer Society in his memory and we truly felt his presence on that day.

More to come in just a bit!
