Shabby Chic Wedding by Justine Ungaro

Before we dive into all of the wedding goodness that we have planned for you today, I wanted to take a quick moment to thank everyone at NEAWP…the Austin wedding organization that hosted me for yesterday’s conference. I had a great time and hope that you guys took some inspiration away from our session!

Okay! On to our first featured wedding. It’s been a while since we featured a Justine Ungaro wedding, so I am thrilled to have her back on Style Me Pretty. You may remember her own gorgeous video that we featured a while back, filled with a sense of style and design that translates so beautifully into her photography. This wedding is actually the celebration of one of the guys from Monachetti , Andrew, who shot Justine’s ridiculously amazing video.  His adorable bride, Emily, is a hair stylist…so you know that there was creativity and style tucked in every corner.

From Justine…

The wedding venue was the home of an old family friend of the bride’s…a perfect backdrop for the couple’s DIY affair. Emily and her maids were all decked out in etsy designer Sarah Seven’s gorgeous wares  and the bride wore a veil by EM Bridal. They used lots of mason jars filled with flowers or lights and placemats and little swatches of fabrics in interesting ways. They even had friends hang a homemade installation constructed from cardboard over the “altar” that read “LOVE NEVER FAILS”….it was all ridiculously sweet and one of my favorite weddings I’ve probably ever photographed.

I love, love, love (maybe more than any detail I’ve ever loved) the sign above the “altar.” It just might be the coolest thing I have ever seen, adding a sense of whimsy and personality to the ceremony. I am now 100% convinced that every bride should put a cute sign right up at the altar with them. Obsessed.

Justine is a regular on a lot of the wedding blogs so when I get a chance to feature her work on SMP, I am always really excited. Plus, she writes a pretty killer wedding blog herself, so she know what types of weddings we can easily fall in love with. And this wedding is just as delicious as I had hoped it would be! Filled to the brim with sweet, perfect little touches that let guests know they were attending something really special.

More to come in just a bit!
