It’s impossible not to fall madly in love with this photo shoot. It’s simply stunning with a warm and cozy style that would make any girl swoon. That would make any guest feel like they were attending something truly special. Designed by Candice Dowling of Jubilee Events and photographed by Carla Ten Eyck, this shoot is a lesson in gorgeousness.
From Jane Rynaski of Just for You who designed the gorgeous flowers for the affair…
Taking my lead from Candice’s vision of a modern, yet vintage look and the backdrop of the gorgeous Tyrone Farm in Pomfret , Ct I saw the opportunity to take a theme and run with it. It was a play of contrasts… old and new, dark and light, soft and hard. For the bouquets I used soft romantic flowers like creamy tulips, ranunculus, garden roses and anemones , I contrasted the spring softness with the addition of autumn materials like golden bittersweet, grey dusty miller and brown scabiosa pods to add texture and interest finishing one in burlap and the other in velvet ribbon.
From Candice at Jubilee Events…
Our color story was white, yellow, brown and green with hints of silver in accessories. We used fun glass candle holders from CB2 and arranged them through the gorgeous and eclectic arrangements that Jane created.
The table was full of fun details: hand calligraphed place cards by Annie Lloyd of Pretty Mail Calligraphy. She wrote them on pieces of natural wood vainer and we garnished them with small pears. We layered the table settings with pieces from pottery barn, crate and barrel, pier one and anthropologie. Our vintage napkins came from my private collection, and the gorgeous ivory burlap table linen came from cloth connection.
The sweet table had a ton of confections made by Corine of lovely lollies: she created yummy smores cupcakes on a lollipop, complete with gram cracker crust, chocolate cake, and a marshmallow frosting! She also made delicious caramel kettle corn that we placed in brown craft bags, candied applies with caramel and chocolate covered cranberries. We had maple sugared walnuts, chunky oatmeal and cranberry cookies with white chocolate drizzle and little mini pumpkin bites with chocolate all arranged on vintage silver trays I found from my grandmother’s personal collection.
Thank you so very much to Carla Ten Eyck and all of the vendors that took part in this absolutely beautiful photo shoot. It is sure to inspire bride after bride after bride to design a wedding that is just as warm, just as elegant.
