This is the sweetest little wedding and one that I know will speak to a ton of you who are looking to plan intimate, rustic affairs. Photographed by Suzi Q of Q Weddings, the affair took place this past April at Camp Fern in Marshall, Texas.
From the fabulously talented Ms. Suzi Q…
Cat and Matt met at Camp Fern when they were kids. They went there every summer for years and later became counselors there. Matt’s family helped build the original cabins in the 1930s and 1940s, which is incredible, and the couple wanted honor their love of this family heirloom.
Camp Fern is rustic, charming and set on a small lake in the gorgeous northeast Texas landscape near the Louisiana border. The theme of the wedding was rustic chic. It was dressy, yet relaxed. Lots of dancing! The day after the wedding, photographs were taken around Caddo Lake. Photos were taken among cypress trees, in an old tea room only accessible by boat (and featured on True Blood) and a fishing camp.
