Charming, Rustic Wedding, II

We are featuring Holly and Nathan’s absolutely lovely, homegrown wedding. Holly set out to design a wedding that was intimate, relaxed and a complete reflection of who she was as a bride. Who they were as a couple. Fuss free elegance!

all of the amazing photographs are by Kate Mefford

From Holly, the lovely bride…

I knew from the beginning I wanted to use all the random objects big and small I had collected over the years at Canton flea market.  I used an old door to hang our place cards and a fence to display antique jars wrapped in handkerchiefs with herbs as favors for our guests!  I was inspired to do the hanky vases b/c I have a collection of my grandma’s old hankies…I didn’t use those, but I did find a sweet little lady on Ebay who sold me a 175 assorted old hankies!  A few close friends came over and we had a hanky jar making party.

I also knew from the beginning that it would be a challenge to bring all the “personality” I wanted together to make sense.  I knew I wanted Mexican food and a mariachi band, Anthropologie inspired decor, and a touch of antique style.  Jen at Miss Pickles Press did a great job of helping bring the look together with her cute programs and place cards.

Thank you so much to Kate Mefford for sharing this wedding with us! And of course to Holly and Nathan for being such a beautiful, hugely inspirational couple!
