Real Wedding: Laura and Josh, II

Okay, I am madly in love with the bridesmaids dresses that today’s featured bride, Laura, chose for her girls. I am not usually a huge fan of purple (having lived through 10 years of purple obsession by my best friends) but I swooned when I saw these gowns. They are so pretty, so girly. Wispy and delicate while still being totally elegant.

From Laura…

One of the hardest things I had to do was choose my bridesmaids; Josh had given me a limit :) With my sister by my side, my cousin, a close friend and an old friend, it was most certainly a memorable day. Only just one week earlier my old friend and bridesmaid had wed…she had only decided to marry a month within their engagement and the only date available was the weekend before mine. Its funny because I never would of wished it to happen that way, with all the stress of the wedding, my Dad, work – life. But looking back, I never would change it, it brought us closer together and only made my day more special.

It was also a very tough time for my family with my Grandfather passing away, just 2 days before our wedding. It certainly reminds you how important family and friends are, and reiterates the meaning of marriage. Throughout the rough time Josh certainly kept me grounded, he comforted me, and proved to me why without a doubt he was the one. And why the rest of my life spent with him would be so much richer. It made all else fade in comparison to the real reason for our day.

More on the way!
