Real Wedding: Jennifer and Trey, V

I get emails here and there from brides who are looking to design a super chic wedding with their ceremony in a traditional church but with there reception in kind of a fun/funky spot. Well, that is just what today’s bride did!

I know that in many parts of the country, it’s hard to find those great farms, the incredible seaside resorts, the modern lofts and the lakeside estates that we often feature on SMP. But, I will tell you this…EVERY town has hidden gems that are definitely worth discovering. Like the Aviation Museum in Lexington, Kentucky!

How cool is that!? I am dying right now…it’s just so fabulous. The juxtaposition of the airplanes with the feminine, pink and chocolate tables. LOVE!

From the bride…

The museum is in an old airplane hanger and there are several jets and airplanes on display – the guests enjoyed getting to see the everything up close and it was a great place to dance the night away.  I loved the contrast between the harsh, warehouse feeling space and the warm, beautiful flowers and fabrics and the comfort of being surrounded by friends.

Wait until you hear about all of the fun details that the bride incorporated into their day…so much more to come!
