Real Wedding: Day and Max, VI

In my opinion, today’s featured wedding that was sent to us by the FABULOUS Aaron Delesie is one of the prettiest weddings we’ve ever featured here on SMP. Of course, it was designed by the forever talented Lisa Vorce, who has graciously offered to share a few of the details with us…

From Lisa of Oh How Charming!

This was an amazingly special wedding. By far one of the best family / friend collaborations I’ve ever seen. When Day and Max originally called me – they made it very clear that they wanted a very “home grown” wedding. They had an amazing assortment of talented family and friends that wanted to contribute to the wedding in some way. And that they did! The wedding was held at Day’s parent’s home.

Her father literally created the gorgeous terraced dinner reception site from the ground up, as well as crafted and built the fantastic staging for the ceremony site. Day’s mother (who is an extraordinary artist and sculptor) made all the stunning dinner reception floral arrangements, while the lovely Mindy Rice focused on the personal florals. Max’s mother (the fabulous fashion designer Kay Unger) designed the STUNNING bridesmaid’s gowns, as well as all the dinner table linens, gorgeous napkins, etc.

One of Day and Max’s dearest friends hand painted all the table numbers, escort cards, etc. Our install took about 3 days — and what would normally take a full crew of mine to complete…was instead done with an insane amount of love and sweat from all of Day and Max’s family and friends. They even hand picked all the olive branches from the Kornbluth olive trees and hand wove them to create the stunning olive garland strung above the dinner reception. We were so happy to become a part of the Kornbluth / Pitman family extravaganza!

So much more to come from this beautiful wedding!
