I am loving today’s post by Lisa Hoffman on monograms…over lunch, my husband and I decided that we need an official Larson monogram. Something that we can carry through the years, adding children’s names, tweaking to reflect our personalities. And these monograms by Ceci NY are pure inspiration!

Personally, I’m really into unique die cut shapes, like the one above. I created this shape for Jennifer & John incorporating their damask prints and reflective two J’s. The unique shapes make it so unexpected and special.
For a more classic look with a twist – try mixing block letters with a swirly script letter. The best is when the two letters completely intertwine and connect in as many places as possible with still keeping legibility – I love this one for Angelina and Ryan.
Or play up your theme with old gothic display fonts. Below the O and G meet in the middle to create a decorative infinity loop uniting the two letters – symbolizing the couple.
For more ideas don’t hesitate to check out old type books. They are full of so many great letters – see which ones might inspire your wedding!

Thank you, thank you, thank you Lisa for sharing these gorgeous monograms with us. I am in love with the idea of creating a wedding brand. Something that reflects your unique personalities, your unique style and something that can become your family crest of sorts. LOVE!
