Just as I fell in love with the floral arrangement from today’s earlier post, I have totally fallen for this Winter color palette…
Flowers from Domino Magazine, Little Black Dress by Maggie London at Nordstrom, Letterpress Invitation by Black Pearl Press, Ring Pillow as seen on Rebecca Thuss, Calligraphy Cake by Edith Meyer, White Florals by Petal’s Edge
What I really love about the flowers in the top left photo are the contrasting hues…the soft, white-washed pastels paired with the rich shades of the buds. I used this dichotomy as inspiration for our color palette….subtle, almost white pinks and greens, paired with the sophistication and elegance of a little black dress. I love, love, love the end result.
I can completely envision a snowy, winter wedding complete with touches of unabashed luxury, femininity and elegance. Layers of different textures and fabrics, from velvets (table runners) and cashmeres (wraps for the bride and her maids), to lace (ring pillows and favor bags) and thick raw silk (linens). Perfect for a small, intimate wedding at a lovely restaurant or winery.
