Andrew Wyeth Art Inspired Bridal Shoot
Bridal shoots inspired by artists are some of my favorites. There's just an added dose of pretty in every aspect of bridal bliss, and this beautiful shoot from the likes of Kate Farley Designs, Bottle Pop Party Co. and Fresh Designs Florist (to name a few) is the perfect example of just how awesome it can be. Check out the oh-so-dreamy details and beautiful images from Juliana Laury in the full gallery.
From Bottle Pop Party Co.... Next to the rolling hills of the Brandywine Valley and the rush of the Brandywine River, legendary artist Andrew Wyeth made his home. He also made the historical land the focus of so many of his famous paintings. We wanted to bring the colors and textures of his artwork to life in a bridal shoot, shot on location at the home of many of his works, the Brandywine River Museum. The museum is a gorgeous, modern venue on its own so we used neutral, earthy colors with pops of blue, reminiscent of Wyeth's paintings and kept the backdrop of the woods & river as our backdrop.
Inspiration came from the fields of wildflowers nearby and from the Helga series of paintings not only with the bride's facial expressions but with the poses themselves. The cathedral length veil is the perfect interpretation of Wyeth's flowing sheer curtains and we used it to mimic the flowing and draped fabric. Even the hair styles we used came from Wyeth's famous Helga portraits using flower crowns and loose braids.
We are all so proud of this inspirational shoot because of the deep ties to the art history of our town and we truly believe that the Brandywine Valley is the perfect backdrop for a wedding in any season.
