A Modern Ice Blue and Gray Wedding at Columbus Museum of Art

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Ice Blue, Gray, Taupe, Cream[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Our design process began with the desire to honor both the historic romance and modernity found at Columbus Museum of Art. Ultimately the design was a direct reflection of the couple. The celebration felt soft, joyous, romantic yet modern. [/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]The annual PGA Memorial Tournament in Dublin, OH was taking place in May of 2023 and Nick convinced Larissa he needed her to accompany him to a post tournament client event at Antiques on High, a local cocktail lounge where Nick and Larissa had their first date (which lasted 9 hours!) and a spot they frequent with friends on the weekend. The day of, unsuspecting Larissa couldn’t be roused from a nap until 10 minutes before they had to depart for the “client event”. Unphased, Larissa febrezed a dress from the laundry hamper and brushed her hair on the way to the car while Nick observed nervously. Upon arrival, Larissa couldn’t stop commenting on how awkward it was to have roses on the ground at a client event and questioning why no one had shown up yet. It wasn’t until Larissa spotted the photographer in the corner that she realized what was happening. Exactly 1 year later, Larissa said yes to forever in the same spot where they had their first date and celebrated with spicy margs, the same cocktails they had when meeting.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]For dinner, guests enjoyed butter poached filet and seared scallops prepared by the Columbus Museum of Art culinary team. Specialty cocktails included spicy margaritas and espresso martinis. Late night indulgence offered local pizza delivery and tacos. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Both the ceremony and reception spaces were centered around dreams of larger than life floral installation. Larissa and Nick’s ceremony space sported a 15 foot garden arch with lush meadow arrangements to frame seating. While, a vast cloud of baby’s breath and custom fabricated light shades became the center of the reception design. Morgan and the Blooms by Morgan team executed flawlessly. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The wedding cake was five tiers styled with a cascade of roses and hellebores by Lavender and Honey. Each tier was a different flavor with the largest tier being the bride’s favorite earl grey.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Larissa and her mother walked down the aisle hand in hand to a harp and violin duo.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]To keep tradition with Bride Larissa’s parents, all flowers were donated via Stems for Seniors to local nursing homes and Hospice care. Over one hundred and twenty arrangements were delivered across Columbus in the following days.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Larissa and Nick spent a month honeymooning abroad. Their journey began in the ancient city of Athens, Greece learning about Greek mythology and marveling at the historical ruins. From there, they island hopped the picturesque Cyclades where they enjoyed incredible cuisine and pristine beaches. After a few blissful weeks in the Greek islands, Nick and Larissa embarked on a once-in-a-lifetime safari in Tanzania, Africa. Surrounded by the majestic Serengeti plains and descending into the Ngorongoro crater, they witnessed incredible wildlife sightings from game drives and sunrise hot air balloon rides. Nick and Larissa’s honeymoon was a magical blend of cultures, relaxation, and adventure, creating memories that will last a lifetime.[/field]

Bachelor Alum Teddi Wright’s Solage Calistoga Autumn Wedding

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]”Black and white with a ton of candles and elegantly placed flowers.”[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]”It was really important to us that our wedding feel intimate, that everyone that was there was someone who was significant to us in our journey either separately or as a couple. It turned into a weekend party to celebrate our love with friends and family!”[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Teddi Wright found her happily ever after. The former “Bachelor” contestant, first introduced her then boyfriend in January of 2023 as the two celebrated with her first ever New Year’s Kiss. As he doesn’t have social media and she wanted to protect their relationship in its early stages, the world didn’t know much else – other than how this new love gave her butterflies – until their engagement in April. “So this is love …,” she began. “I am engaged and feel so blessed I get to spend forever with my best friend. I’ve been crying for days since it’s happened and it still feels like a dream.” She then admired her fiance’s engagement ring selection, saying, “Can we take a moment for how good my fiancé (omg) and @jeandousset did on the ring. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world!! Now let’s get me married.” When you know, you know and Teddi was ready to become Mrs. Meyers! The couple dove into planning and tied the knot in November, ending the year as husband and wife.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]”We had a plated dinner of chicken and steak, it was so good and our friends and family all raved about it! As the night continued on we had a s’mores bar for our guests to make s’mores by the bonfires outside.”[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Peonies were out of season, but are Teddi’s favorite flower, so she was very hopeful to incorporate peonies into her day in some way. “Somehow my florist worked his magic and I had the most beautiful peony bridal bouquet! I also wanted flowers ‘planted like a garden’ down the aisle and it turned out so beautiful.”[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]”We had a vintage style heart cake that was classic vanilla flavor that was delicious. We also had lemon cake for our guests to enjoy.”[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]”My husband’s favorite song is ‘Is This Love’ by Bob Marley, so I found a beautiful cover of the song that was perfect for me to walk down the aisle to! We wrote handwritten vows for our private first look to read to each other and then said the traditional vows during the ceremony surrounded by our family and friends. My father in law was the officiant for the wedding, it made it feel very personal and special to us to have someone so close to us help seal our union. We decided to do a private communion during our ceremony as our first act as husband and wife, it was very special!”[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]”All of our siblings were in our wedding. My brother walked my mother down the aisle. His brothers were in the groomsmen party. My sister was my maid of honor and walked down the aisle with her husband and 2 sons as the ring bearers, they looked so cute in their tiny suits! My other sister and my now sister in law walked down the aisle with their husbands and daughters as the flower girls in tutus and flower crowns. It was really special for our siblings to have these roles as it felt like seeing the love in the generations that came before us walking down the aisle before I walked down to my now husband.”[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]”One memory I loved was the groomsmen party picking my mom up and throwing her around in the air like she was crowd surfing during the dancing portion, it was a memory we will all remember and laugh about for years to come!”[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]”Our wedding was everything we had wanted it to be and so much more, definitely a dream come true and a day we will remember for the rest of our lives.”[/field]

A French Provencal-Inspired Garden Party at Cal-a-Vie Health Spa Salon

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]peach, blush, ochre, butter yellows, and soft blues[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Imagine a vision of ultimate unity; a French Provencal-inspired garden party weekend, setting the backdrop for bringing together the bride and groom’s families–separated by whole oceans and continents in between. Think of a celebration brimming with love, romance, and timeless traditions; where every game played or laughter shared becomes another cherished memory for future generations’ storytelling, while each detail harmonizes in a symphony of classic elegance and sweet enchantment. Our inspiration was deeply rooted in the venue’s design, creating a destination feel with carefully chosen elements that amplify its historical beauty and French Provencal charm. Think antiquated wood pieces and intricately-laced linens, delicate pressed glass, and dustings of gold throughout, all tied together with lush florals for an extravagant design.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Adrina & Scott’s proposal is reminiscent of their entire story, deeply romantic, intimate, and perfectly encapsulating the two of them to celebrate the shared moment. Taking place on Adrina’s rooftop in their now shared home in Newport, CA, Scott dropped his knee upon decorating the space with red roses and candle lights bountifully scattered around, with the words “marry me” lighting up the space and the night sky around them.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Our Bride worked alongside the Monique Lhuillier Bride team to create her custom bridal look, with the bride herself expressing “I immediately fell in love with her airy, romantic and feminine designs. After getting engaged, I knew there was only one designer I wanted for my wedding dress. Having a clear vision in mind for the dress, I worked with the Monique Lhullier team changing fabrics and adding little details, making my vision come to life. This dress is everything and more to me, a dream”.
For finishing touches, Adrina adorned herself with a Jennifer Behr tiara, complete with a floral motif crystal arrangement that further complemented her gown’s lacework. Other final details include Loeffler Randall heels as well as the childhood cross necklace serving as the final elements.
[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]For the bridal party, Adrina quickly fell in love with V. Chapmans gown collections – particularly the Carmel Valley Rose designs that quickly sold out on release. Through the months ahead of the wedding day, and up until the last minute, we collected the gowns from various retailers to complete the bridal party look to perfection…very much worth all the internet scouring as the final look was quite literally perfection![/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Following the ceremony, guests were welcomed into the L’Orangerie’s open terrace area for cocktail hour overlooking the Lavender Fields. Cal-A-Vie’s selection of light aperitifs and a full bar, accompanied with a classical orchestra trio’s invited guests into the perfect atmosphere. The Bride and Groom toasted their guest with His and Hers cocktails: a Cucumber & Gin Spritz as well as an Old Fashioned.
Moving into Reception, guests gathered inside the L’Orangerie for a heartfelt prayer, followed by a wine pour and searing dining. Cal-A-Vie’s culinary team brought forth an inspired menu featuring a multi-course selection of french-inspired cuisine. The first course offered was a mixed greens salad featuring local, organic produce fillings and a poppyseed vinaigrette. A basil
and mint sorbet served as the palate cleanser before guests enjoyed their choice of Wagyu Beef Tenderloin, Wild King Salmon, or Caramelized Cauliflower Steak for the main course.
To close the reception dining, Adrina & Scott delighted their guests with a local favorite, Mangiamo Gelato. Throughout the evening, guests indulged in their favorite gelato flavors, a sweet homage to Adrina’s late grandfather, affectionately remembered as a connoisseur of chocolate desserts and the inspiration behind the celebration’s gelato stand, fittingly named “Vahe’s Gelato”.
[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Given the venue’s awe-inspiring architecture –structures quite literally imported from France–, the understated elegance provided the ideal backdrop for florals to take center stage. Tularosa Flowers adorned every corner with lavish, sprawling blooms; cascading abundantly from every table top and spilling over every urn turned ‘just so’, creating a beautiful color story saturated with peaches, blushes, buttery yellows and the softest of blues.
Perhaps most striking was the ceremony design, featuring a floral aisle that delicately ascended to the altar and lay pooling around the Bride and Groom’s feet. Prior to the ceremony start, guests had been welcomed into the chapel’s surrounding rose garden before taking their seats, setting the stage for the perfect reveal and enchanting celebration to follow.
[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Lila Cake Shop brought forth a four tiered strawberry-shortcake creation adorned with abstract buttercream blossoms of soft blush, muted peach, beige, and cream tones, each delicately accented with touches of gold leaf tucked into each bloom. Prior to an intimate cake cutting by the Bride and Groom, the piece was elegantly displayed in the L’Orangerie for guests to peek at throughout the reception.
[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]In staying true to tradition, the Bride and Groom opted for a traditional Armenian Christian Orthodox ceremony, complete with songs, prayers, crownings and other forms of blessing. Amidst the obvious romance of the ceremony, Scott brought extra sweetness in speaking Armenian (a New Zealand native himself), a sweet surprise filling the chapel with adoring sentiments from guests and Adrina’s family.
In terms of music, the Bride and Groom curated a meaningful playlist featuring classical renditions of Coldplay’s “Paradise” and “Sky full of Stars,” as well as the Goo Goo Dolls “Iris”. Each song held special significance, representing sweet memories and shared milestones. Just outside the chapel, an orchestra trio set the tone with enchanting renditions of each selection through the ceremony processes and following cocktail hour.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]In guiding guests to their seats, we designed a charming “Ring in the Love” escort display. Antique bells, each inscribed with the guest’s seating arrangement, carried a message inviting guests to “ring for love,” signaling the Bride & Groom’s kisses throughout the evening – an invitation gladly obliged by Adrina & Scott.
[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The Bride & Groom shared an intimate ‘first touch’, sharing a sweet prayer prior to the Ceremony’s start and clasping hands just outside the chapel’s doors. They saved the first look for the aisle, stealing a quiet moment together at the start of the reception to cherish the beginning of their newlywed bliss.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]After the Father-Daughter dance, Adrina surprised her father with a second dance to an acoustic rendition of Tina Turner’s “Simply the Best”. This heartfelt gesture made for a sweet moment, celebrating their bond with intentionality and love.[/field]

Timeless Destination Wedding Overlooking Rolling Vineyards at Villa Palagina

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Soft blue, champagne, blush, tender pink, peach and greens[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Brooke and Ryan dreamed of a romantic and timeless wedding in Europe. Initially, they considered Tuscany in Italy and Austria due to their emotional attachment to both countries. After visiting several venues in Italy, I suggested they visit Villa Palagina before traveling to Austria, and they fell in love at first sight. Their celebration spanned three days, including a dinner among the vineyards and a pool party. They chose to have a classic, classy, and romantic wedding, with each detail carefully selected to complement the villa’s natural beauty and formal gardens.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]From the Groom: I proposed to Brooke at the end of the summer at my parent’s lake house in the South Carolina mountains. I chose this place because it is somewhere we spend a lot of time, and even lived on occasion – including during the pandemic and prior to moving to New York. I wanted to propose in a place we would return to regularly and be reminded of those times we enjoyed at the lake and with my parents, as well as always be reminded of this happy time. For the proposal, I sent Brooke on a scavenger hunt around the house and yard, leaving notes in various places with stories highlighting the reasons I love her. The second-to-last note directed Brooke outside to a waterfall decorated with flowers, where I was waiting with a final note asking Brooke to marry me, and the ring. I had flown in Brooke’s parents for the weekend, and they surprised Brooke by coming out just after she said yes! Our two families went on to a celebratory dinner in the mountains, followed by a lovely weekend on the lake. [/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The ceremony unfolded in the villa’s enchanting garden overlooking the vineyard. Sartorial Floral crafted a lush floral backdrop, featuring a semi-arch that perfectly framed the breathtaking views. The reception table was set on the villa’s terrace, right in front of the elegant facade, adorned with floral garlands that cascaded to the ground. String lights created a magical ceiling above the table, beside the formal garden. Even the musicians’ stage was decorated with flowers, maintaining the same elegant theme.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]When in Italy, do as the Italians do! We opted for the crunchy and delicious millefoglie wedding cake. Cutting it was great fun, especially with sparkling fountains and fireworks lighting up the night as we opened a bottle of champagne.[/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]GROOM: On my reaction to Brooke’s dress: I thought it was perfect, the perfect balance of timelessness and modernity. I think Brooke and I were both nervous because we are so used to making our decisions together, so this was a big one for her to have to make on her own! As I expected she would, however, she chose wonderfully and looked absolutely stunning. [/field]

South Carolina Roots Run Deep at This Intimate Lowcountry Wedding

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Blue, green, white[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]With deep roots in South Carolina, Katherine and Brock hosted an intimate wedding along the May River, cherishing the rare opportunity to gather loved ones in a place of profound familial and emotional significance. Their ceremony took place on the bluff overlooking the river marshland, where bursts of blue flowers adorned the pathway leading to the altar, as Lowcountry dolphins were spotted swimming in the distance. [/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Contrary to traditional dating advice, Katherine didn’t even have to leave her house to meet Brock. While hosting a party with her roommates, one of them invited her coworkers, who happened to be men working in tech. That night, she met Brock. Over the years, Katherine has spent every summer visiting her family in Bluffton, South Carolina. As her relationship with Brock blossomed, so did their connection to this family property. The May River became a special place for them — it was where Katherine and Brock first said, “I love you.” They shared many heart-to-heart moments, including a memorable boat ride along the river where they discussed their future together. Despite Brock struggling to keep his nerves in check, he planned a dockside proposal to Katherine outside their favorite restaurant, followed by a beautiful family celebration afterward.[/field]

Summer Berry Bliss: A Bridal Brunch Garden Affair at The Ivy Place

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”The Inspiration”]The inspiration for this enchanting bridal brunch blossomed from the natural beauty of the berry farm and garden venue. Nestled amidst lush greenery, the setting provided a picturesque backdrop that perfectly complemented our vision. Textured linens, inspired by the charming home onsite, added a touch of garden chic elegance to each table. These linens, with their intricate patterns and rich textures, seamlessly blended with the venue’s surroundings.

To honor the essence of berry picking, we wove berry colors throughout the décor, infusing shades of deep red, vibrant purple, and soft pink into the floral arrangements, table settings, and even the menu. The result was a harmonious blend of nature and design, creating an atmosphere of effortless sophistication. This beautiful integration of elements paid tribute to the farm’s heritage while celebrating the joyful occasion of a bridal brunch.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Red, Pink, Purple

[field title=”The Venue”]The Ivy Place, located in the picturesque town of Lancaster, South Carolina, is a historic estate that offers an enchanting blend of Southern charm and natural beauty. Spanning 33 acres of rolling hills, lush gardens, and serene ponds, this venue is a true gem, providing a tranquil and romantic setting for any special occasion. The lovingly restored 19th-century farmhouse, surrounded by vibrant flora and idyllic landscapes, adds a touch of elegance to the property.

The venue’s abundant gardens, filled with vibrant blooms and verdant foliage, provided a stunning canvas for our monochromatic floral arrangements in bright red, pink, and purple. These hues echoed the rich colors of the berries, seamlessly blending with the natural surroundings and creating a cohesive and vibrant theme.

The expansive grounds allowed for various scenic spots to host different aspects of the brunch, from the elegant dining area to cozy corners for intimate conversations. The serene ponds and enchanting woodlands offered picturesque backdrops for photo opportunities, capturing the joy and beauty of the event.

The Ivy Place’s unique combination of historic elegance and natural splendor made it the perfect setting for a bridal berry brunch, creating an unforgettable and enchanting experience for all.[/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The inspiration for this charming bridal brunch was drawn from the vibrant beauty of the berry farm and garden venue. The picturesque setting, with its lush greenery and blooming flora, provided the perfect canvas for our design. Monochromatic florals in bright red, pink, and purple were chosen to echo the rich hues of the berries, creating a vivid and cohesive theme that celebrated the essence of the venue.[/field]
[field title=”Favorite Design Element”]One of our favorite design elements from the berry brunch was the charming touch of baskets used for picking, which added a delightful and personalized flair to the event. Each guest received a beautifully woven basket, reminiscent of the berry-picking experience that inspired the theme. The baskets were more than just practical accessories; they were thoughtfully adorned with custom name tags, adding a unique and personal touch.

The custom name tags, elegantly tied onto each basket with delicate ribbon, featured guests’ names in stylish calligraphy. This small but meaningful detail not only enhanced the aesthetic of the brunch but also provided a memorable keepsake for each attendee. The combination of the baskets and name tags created a whimsical and cohesive design element, perfectly blending the theme of berry picking with the sophisticated atmosphere of the garden brunch.[/field]
[field title=”Tips To Pull Off The Look”]Some of our tips to pull off this look include:

1) Mix and Match Textures: Use a variety of materials to create the most dynamic and visually appealing table setting.

2) Diverse Materials: Incorporate a variety of textures to add visual interest. Use velvet or satin napkins paired with rustic wooden or woven chargers. Combine delicate lace or embroidered napkin rings with sleek glassware and polished flatware. This blend of materials creates a rich and engaging table setting that reflects the elegance and charm of the berry theme.

3) Greet guests with personalized welcome bags filled with on-theme treats. Include items such as mini jars of homemade berry jam, berry-flavored candies, and custom berry-patterned napkins or coasters. Add a personal touch with a thank-you note or a small guide to the day’s events, all presented in a charming, berry-themed tote or basket. These welcome bags not only set the tone for the brunch but also offer guests a delightful and memorable keepsake.[/field]

5 Questions Most Wedding Guests Will Ask + How To Answer Them

If there’s ever a time that you don’t want to be bogged down with questions… it’s while you’re planning your wedding. But chances are, you’re going to have a handful of guests checking in with you. Do your best to avoid every guest (and their mama) calling and texting you by providing this info clearly for them. Keep reading for some of the most common questions guests ask and how to handle them!

Can I bring my kids?

This can be such a tough one! Where do you draw the line? Do you feel OK having close family children in attendance (hello adorable flower girl and ring bearer!) but you’d rather not have all of your friends with their little one’s in tow? 9 times of out 10 most guests with kiddos prefer to leave them at home so they can fully enjoy the evening. When it comes down to it, this is your Big Day and you can do what you want, but be prepared for some guests to spring this question on you.

While the obvious solution is to put ‘no kids’ on your wedding invitation, it might not be the vibe your hoping to send when your guests open up that envelope. Here are a couple other ways to say no kiddos allowed:

The way you address is your invitations is a subtle way to get this point across. Address the invite to the adults only, rather than “The Smith Family”. This leaves room for questioning still, so take it a step further with the approach below.

Another option is to include a wedding website link with more details, where you can address that this event is for big kids only. Some positive ways to word it:

“We look forward to celebrating with you! Kick your shoes off and enjoy a relaxing kid-free evening with us.”

“To give all our guests the opportunity to let their hair down and have a good time without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we politely request no children.”

Ceremony Only: “Children are welcome to the ceremony, however to allow all of our guests to enjoy an evening of relaxation, we politely request adult attendance only.”

Can I bring my new bae?

You already had to cut down your guest list and shave off Aunt Suzy and Cousin Jon… but now your college girlfriend wants to bring her new bae—who you’ve never met before? Yikes. While you want each invited guest to have a great time, plus ones can get out of hand if you’ve got a lot of single ladies and gents in attendance.

Just like the no kids announcement, a wedding website is a great place to house this info. If you’d rather not have complete strangers witness your I dos, make sure this is clear.

If you are OK with it, simply address with “& guest”!

What should I wear?

First, get familiar with traditional wedding attire wording for invites. Our friends at Shutterfly have a great rundown:

  • Black tie (tuxedos and formal gowns)
  • Formal, black tie optional (suit and tie and dresses)
  • Semi-formal (suit and tie and cocktail dresses)
  • Cocktail attire (suits and party dresses)
  • Beach or garden party attire (summer suits and summer dresses)
  • Casual (button down shirts or polos and summer sundresses or a skirt or pants with a nice blouse)

It’s always a good idea to make this clear right on the invitation but you can also add this info on your wedding website, too.

For Destination Weddings

Do you have a room block?

If you’ve already secured a room block, make sure to provide this info for your guests. This can go right on the invitations, or your wedding website if you wish to provide more detailed info. Things to include:

  • Travel dates (when your room block time period begins and ends)
  • # of rooms available
  • Types of rooms available
  • Rates

What do you recommend to do in the area?

Your wedding website is also a great place to put this info! This is especially helpful if your guests will have ample time to themselves before and after wedding events such as a rehearsal or welcome dinner or a farewell brunch.

Extra Steps

Lastly, if you’d rather not be the go-to for guest questions, kindly ask a member of your bridal party if they can help by being the point of contact and if they are OK with you putting their email or phone on your wedding website.

If you do prefer to be the contact, you can also simply list your email only rather than your phone number, which will deter guests from calling or texting you randomly when you’re in the middle of a dress fitting or a cake tasting. No one likes to be interrupted when they’re eating cake!

A Monofloral Wedding Design That Wows at the Bush Center

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]White, bright natural greens, and a hint of blush pink
[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]From a custom painted dress from Lake Como, Italy to a museum reception hall, this black tie affair was designed with art and family roots in mind. Planned by KBD events in the heart of Dallas, Texas the couple chose to hold their ceremony at the Park Cities Presbyterian Church, the church they both grew up attending. The reception was followed in the George W. Bush Presidential Center. The couple drew inspiration from the presidential library with a cheeky nod to the fact they are getting married in an election year by bringing out dance floor props as they danced the night away with the Manhattan Band. The timeless wedding weaved together unique elements to make their day certainly one of a kind. [/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Spencer and Emma got engaged the afternoon of June 17, 2023! With Emma being born and raised in Lakewood, the Dallas Arboretum held a special place in her heart growing up. Little did Emma know the arboretum would hold an even more memorable place in her heart because on a stroll through the gardens on the perfect summer day Spencer got down on one knee and asked Emma to marry him! After she said yes, Spencer surprised her with an evening to remember, starting with a dinner date at their favorite restaurant – Sachet! They then swung by his parents house where a party of over 50 of their closest family and friends gathered to celebrate them! [/field]

Emma was drawn to the elegant look of the Ines Di Santo gown, and the uniqueness of the dress being hand painted in Italy created that one of a kind feeling! Her reception dress, by designer Lela Rose, was also her rehearsal dinner dress, “I loved it so much I had to wear it again” said the bride.[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]The bride’s sister, who was also the Maid of Honor, selected the blush pink bridesmaids gowns from Bellas Bridesmaids. The decision was easy because the bride wanted her to feel amazing on the day as well![/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]The groom and groomsmen looked timeless in dashing black tuxedos from Culwell & Sons. The groom, who also loved the look of a white dinner jacket, opted for a jacket change before entering the reception! [/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]The couple began their reception with a cocktail hour with passed appetizers and an open bar paired with a custom specialty cocktail, a Spicy Margarita. The couple delighted guests with a 3 course seated dinner at the George Bush center, Catered by Cafe 43, which included a crowd favorite, salmon with risotto. The groom also selected chicken and waffles for their late night bite – his favorite![/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]With a color palette of greens and whites, Branching Out Events brought Emma’s tulip field vision to life. The bridesmaids bouquets, a handful of tulips were a foreshadowing of the evening to come. For the reception space, bunches of tulips lined the two head tables bring a feeling of organic elegance. The surrounding tables were adorned with bunches of other white flowers from roses to hydrangeas creating a frame of texture yet allowing the tulips to be the stand out moment. The dance floor was draped with lush greenery from above complementing the custom painted stage. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The 5 tiered cake was quite the show stopper, and not just for the ornate design! Emma shared, “the cake topper was from my mom’s friend Erin’s wedding. Erin now lives in Tulsa, OK and she drove down to Dallas to let me choose from over 30 cake toppers she has kept for over 25 years from her own wedding! I have always loved the movie Father of the Bride and a cake that resembled it was always my goal”. The bride and groom selected a white chocolate cake with champagne chambord frosting with raspberries in the layers. [/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”][/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]The calligraphy throughout the wedding was even more personal to the bride and groom. Laurie Harper Calligraphy, who is the groom’s grandmother, shared her talent in more ways than one! Her incredible work is being passed on to Emma. She shared, “I am starting my own business with his grandmother and so this detail was not only intentional and meaningful but it incorporated my new grandmother and her legacy and our new business and partnership!”[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The accessories for the day were sourced from Italy. According to the bride, “Once my wedding dress was chosen (hand painted in Como, Italy) I decided to highlight some other of my favorite Italian brands for perfume, cologne, shoes because I spent a semester abroad in Florence, Italy and it had a huge influence on me!”[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]The Bush center was a point of inspiration in many ways, and in a nod to it also being an election year, the bride said, “one of my best friends from high school makes incredible signage and is gifted with graphic design. She made stickers and signs that mimicked the old Bush campaigns”.

How to Seamlessly Blend Textures, Patterns, and Colors at Sidney Berne Davis Art Center

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”The Inspiration”]

The Inspiration: The true turning point for our inspiration came when we discovered a stunning image of a long table set in front of a grand manor-style home in Europe. This set the stage for our concept. We aimed to create a design that seamlessly blended various textures, patterns, and colors to achieve an unexpected yet harmonious look. The combination of blues with surprising pops of coral and pink, along with incorporating the stone architecture of the venue, became the main element of our design. Thanks to the tireless effort of some truly amazing artists dedicated to this creative concept, our final design came together perfectly. The images you see today are a testament to their dedication.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Blue, Cream, Pink, and Coral.[/field]
[field title=”The Venue”]

The Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center in Fort Myers, Florida, served as the backdrop for our shoot. With its neoclassical architecture, characterized by grand stone columns and intricate detailing, it has a timeless elegance that pairs beautifully with the modern pops of color in our design. The venue’s rich history and cultural significance added depth and character to our shoot. The transformation of this historic building into a thriving art center has preserved its architectural beauty while infusing it with a vibrant, contemporary spirit, and our photographer drew on its modern elements for the second portion of our shoot which featured the work of various local artists in the Capital Gallery.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]For this photo shoot, we showcased two distinct dresses. The ceremony dress featured exquisite floral elements and a romantic cut designed by Morilee in the style name Petal.

The reception dress, with its more contemporary fabric and design, introduced a modern touch to the shoot and paired perfectly with the groom’s dinner tuxedo. This choice was a deliberate nod to the venue’s current role as a vibrant art museum. The juxtaposition of the dress’s sleek, modern aesthetic with the historic charm of the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center highlighted the seamless blend of old and new, mirroring the venue’s transformation and adding a dynamic element to our shoot. [field title=”Florals & Decor”]

The florals for this shoot were a true masterpiece. The ceremony setup featured a breathtaking cascade of greens climbing both center columns, culminating in a stunning hanging floral piece that framed the ceremony location and created a captivating backdrop for the bride and groom. The bouquet was a gorgeous arrangement that incorporated all the colors from the shoot, adding a touch of whimsy to the bride’s ensemble. The tablescape florals were a 30-foot cascade of blooms, gracefully draping down both sides of the 24-foot table. This floral display transitioned beautifully from whites and creams at one end, gradually blending into pale pinks, and culminating in vibrant bright pinks and corals at the other end. This color-changing or ombre effect added a visually striking element to the overall design, making the tablescape a focal point of the shoot.

[/field]
[field title=”Favorite Design Element”]As the planner, my favorite design element, aside from the spectacular cascading florals, was the unexpected mix of linens. The two separate patterns were something I wouldn’t have initially expected to mesh well, but in the end, they proved to be a perfect fit with each other, the colors, and the florals. Additionally, the gorgeous stone columns and the rich history of the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center added an extra layer of charm and elegance to the shoot. [/field]
[field title=”Tips To Pull Off The Look”]

To achieve a similar look, start by selecting a color palette that complements your venue’s surroundings. Mix different textures, such as smooth linens with intricate patterns, to add depth and visual interest to your tablescape. Focus on statement florals to create dramatic focal points, ensuring they reflect your chosen color scheme. Emphasize and integrate the architectural features of your venue, like stone columns or historic details, into your design. Balance traditional and contemporary elements for a timeless yet fresh aesthetic, and pay attention to small details like table settings and decorative accents to elevate the overall look. Collaborating closely with skilled vendors who share your vision will help ensure every element aligns seamlessly with your concept.

A Vintage Inspired Castle Wedding at Chateau Robernier in France

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]General wedding colors were Sage and Blue
Florals were peach, oranges, yellow, pinks, lavender, blue[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]We wanted to make things feel bright and fun, but also wanted to keep it classic. We both have a love of vintage pieces, and we wanted our venue, fashion, and overall vibe to reflect that. The property at Château Robernier is stunning, and is decorated with pieces that reflect its long history. The property originally dates back to the 16th century, and the architecture is so unique and the classic blue shutters are such a necessity to have when you have a wedding in Provence. The grounds are so well kept, every corner makes me a beautiful backdrop.

Black tie was a no brainer for me – I LOVE to dress up. I remember looking out of the window while I ask finishing getting ready, our friends and family we’re outside being greeted with champagne. I felt like we were in a James Bond movie![/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]We grew up just one town over but didn’t meet until we both attended a house party when we were home from college during the summer. We remained close friends, going on group trips a few times a year and always seeing each other when I was in town. I was living on Hoboken, NJ during that time. Ten years later when I moved back home during the pandemic, we started taking our dogs on hikes together and things turned more romantic. We already knew most of each other’s friends and family, so it was quite an easy transition!

After two years together, Dustin proposed in our living room. The two weeks leading up to the proposal, my sisters kept making comments about my nails but I didn’t even think twice about it. I had about 3 week old gel on my nails, so my sister hid stick on nails in the bathroom just in case I wanted to use them after he proposed!

He told me that we were going to dinner for his dad’s birthday. It was sleeting that night, and I was running late trying to figure out what to wear in that weather. As soon as I walked downstairs after getting ready, Dustin dropped to one knee at home in our living room. I think I asked him 3 or 4 times if he was serious before saying yes. Afterwards, our families and friends were waiting for us for dinner and drinks! [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]I tried on about 20-25 wedding dresses, and the dress I chose was one that I kept coming back to. It has this vintage inspired look to it with the beading, lace and applique, and it was like nothing I’d ever seen before! It had a square neckline which I find just to be so flattering, and very subtle boning in the corset. The designer is Lihi Hod, who is known for her rich, artisanal details, romantic flair and timeless designs.

I purchased the dress from Garnish Boutique in Maryland, and I worked super closely with Mia there. The day I purchased the dress I was back and forth on the color of the lining and if I wanted to swap it for a brighter white. Mia let me sit in one of the dressing rooms for an hour by myself just staring at the dress in different lighting to help with my decision. She was such a breath of fresh air in my dress shopping journey!

For my reception dress, I wore a 2016 Monique Lhuillier beaded mini dress that I got on Poshmark! It actually arrived the day before we left for France, and fit perfectly![/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]We didn’t have a traditional bridal party, but I have 2 sisters and they both wanted to match as my Maids of Honor! They both wore sage V. Chapman dresses. V. Chapman creates pieces that are reminiscent of the past with modern touches – the silhouettes really scream French Chateau, so it felt perfect.[/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]The groom wore a midnight blue tuxedo with black lapels, that was custom made in Baltimore, Maryland. The inside of his tuxedo jacket was a light blue paisley that we chose to match the shutters on Chateau Robernier. He wore Allen Edmonds James loafers.

The best man, Dustin’s Brother Brad, wore a classic all black tuxedo.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Where to even begin! The food was absolutely incredible. Amandine, the founder of Citron Pavot was the most wonderful person to work with. When we first visited our venue in October of 2023, she met us there just to say hello and brought us a bottle of champagne. She’s also truly just so talented – Our guests raved about the food, everything was incredible.

We greeted guests with prosecco & Lavender lemonade for the ceremony. We were preparing for pretty hot weather, and wanted to give guests something to sip on – but the weather actually turned out to be pretty perfect!

At our cocktail hour, we served passed hors d’oeuvres which included crispy courgette flowers, Basil pesto grilled cheese, Baked scallops, Crab crostinis, etc. We also had an incredible raw Oyster Tower! We served a Huge Spritz and Old Fashioned as signature cocktails.

Dinner was served family style. We included Grilled salmon, Côte de boeuf, Truffle tagliatelle, Tomato salad, Asparagus, an array of cheeses, butters and breads.

Each table had table wines of rose and red. We served dessert with espresso martinis! [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Our florals included peonies, garden roses, scented peas, delphiniums, lisianthus. We wanted to have a large variety of florals, but wanted it to feel a bit more elegant than garden style. We kept the bridal bouquet bridesmaid bouquets smaller more simple in color. We worked with Elena from Tepee Sauvage – she really got our vision!
[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]We decided to go for an all blackberry and blueberry pavlova. About a week before the wedding, our caterer texted me and asked what kind of berries I was thinking for the pavlova. We both agreed that all dark berries would create a classic yet dramatic moment! Dustin and I sprinkled powdered sugar on top prior to cutting. It was beautiful, but more importantly insanely delicious. [/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Our officiant was our close family friend, Ted, who did such an amazing job making it feel personal. I’ve known him my whole life, and he and Dustin have formed a really special relationship.

The Dustin’s sister Casey did a reading from “Far from the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy”. The reading was so special to us because it describes friendship that turns into love – which is our own love story! “But then once in a while the pleasantries become more, friendship grows, deeper links are made, hands are joined and love flies. The friendship has turned into love.” I actually hadn’t told Dustin that I picked this reading prior to the ceremony. It was a rare emotional moment for him!

For the ceremony, we had a string trio – they were wonderful! they played “make you feel my love” as I walked down the aisle. This song is so special to us, its just one that we’ve always loved, and play at home super loud on our speakers while we cook or have coffee in the morning.

Our first dance was “Forever You and Me” by the Teskey Brothers. We didn’t practice our first dance at all, so we were both super nervous! It ended up being so perfectly unrehearsed.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]We decided to do the ceremony in the parkland, runway style. This was a suggestion from our wedding planner Josh after he did a final site visit at the property. We agreed without hesitation! This created such a nice separate area for the ceremony and a long, more dramatic runway. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]My wedding band belonged to my grandmother, who wasn’t able to attend the wedding in France. It was so special to have that piece of her there and something I’ll always cherish![/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]I love to thrift and shop second hand. I bought the Hugo Boss suit jacket that Dustin wore to our welcome Party for $7 at our local thrift store! It ended up matching my welcome party dress perfectly[/field]

A Tale of Two Cultures at Bellwether House in Savannah Wedding

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]The couple’s wedding colors featured sage greens and ivory, colors chosen to enhance the romantic, intimate feel of Savannah. [/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Grace and Jacob envisioned an intimate wedding with their closest friends and family. They planned a 55-person wedding, blending Jacob’s Danish heritage with Grace’s Bostonian roots. It was a perfect combination of low country charm with Danish cultural elements, creating an intimate, elegant, classic yet chic atmosphere. [/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]It all began in Savannah, Georgia. Grace and Jacob, both students at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), arrived from different parts of the world to this charming southern city. Though they met during their first year, it wasn’t until the middle of their junior year that they developed an interest in each other. After a few serendipitous encounters, their journey together truly started one Thursday night in February, following a long, friendly conversation in a friend’s kitchen.

Jacob, originally from Sorring, Denmark, completed his degree in industrial design and moved to New York City. Grace, a Boston native, finished her studies a few months later, planning to join Jacob in the city. However, the pandemic altered their plans. Visa issues forced Jacob to return to Denmark, while Grace stayed in Boston after graduating. Separated for a year, they reunited in Dublin, Ireland, in 2021, discovering that their love had only deepened over the long months apart. They got engaged that December and had a small civil ceremony in March 2022 in Savannah, GA. Despite a partially long-distance engagement, they eventually settled in NYC, focusing on planning their dream wedding.[/field]

To honor Jacob’s Danish culture and make his family feel welcomed, they included SMØRREBRØD (Danish open-faced sandwiches) and Aalborg Taffel Akvavit for all the Danish toasts their newly blended family gave throughout the evening[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The floral design by Gray Harper Florals was a masterpiece of earthy, ethereal refinement. They brought Grace’s vision to life with neutral tones of soft yellow, cream, white, ivory, sage, and forest green, featuring an exquisite array of flowers such as Cosmos, Mums, garden roses, double tulips, ranunculus, dahlias, and Scabiosa. Each floral arrangement added to the romantic and enchanting atmosphere of the day.

Robinson Press crafted the wedding stationery, bringing a personal touch with a custom logo that beautifully combined the American and Danish flags. The hand-painted envelope inserts featured a delicate depiction of Whitefield Chapel, where Grace and Jacob exchanged their heartfelt vows, surrounded by their closest family and friends.

Adding to the elegance, the linens were also crafted by Grace’s uncle, Daniel Faucher. He used the same colors and textures as the bride and Maid of Honor’s dresses, creating a seamless and harmonious aesthetic throughout the entire event.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The talented culinary team at Bellwether House skillfully crafted Grace and Jacob’s wedding cake, bringing their dreams to life with a magnificent three-tiered creation. Adorned in vintage-style buttercream meticulously piped to perfection, the cake was elegantly topped with luscious cherries, adding a delightful finishing touch to their special day.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The ceremony took place at the intimate and charming Whitefield Chapel, nestled within the picturesque Bethesda Academy grounds. Throughout the ceremony, the couple incorporated readings of their favorite poems, including “Wild Geese” by Mary Oliver and an excerpt from “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coehlo, read by various family members. Adding to the magical atmosphere, a gospel choir serenaded the gathering from the mezzanine with heartfelt processional songs like “What a Wonderful World” for the family and groom, and “La Vie en Rose” for the bride and her father.

Between readings, the gospel choir had everyone on their feet, with the bride and groom swaying along to their soulful rendition of “Midnight Train to Georgia.” The couple sealed their marriage with a tender kiss before joyfully exiting the chapel. As a joyful finale, the gospel choir descended from the mezzanine and led the guests out of the chapel, uplifting spirits with the timeless melody of “Say a Little Prayer.”[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Grace and Jacob opted for a SCAD “The Architecture of a University” signing guest book, a meaningful and sentimental choice. This book, filled with the stunning imagery and rich history of the university, perfectly symbolizes the place where their love story first blossomed. Guests were not only signing a guest book but also leaving their well-wishes in a piece of Grace and Jacob’s shared history, making it a treasured keepsake for years to come.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The white Jimmy Choo heels, adorned with sparkling crystal embellishments, hold special significance, as they were the ones Grace wore during a small ceremony with Jacob amid the COVID-19 pandemic. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]As Grace walked down the aisle, she carried a cherished family heirloom that has been passed down through generations of weddings. This prayer book, written in Slovish, dates back to 1940 and holds immense sentimental value. Grace’s grandmother, Helen Hreha, first carried the book when she married William Andahazy on August 7th, 1940, a date inscribed inside its cover. Later, Grace’s mother, Frances Andahazy, carried the same book when she married Michael Nedeau on June 10th, 1998. This treasured artifact is a beautiful testament to Grace’s heritage, connecting the family’s past and present, and symbolizing continuity and shared values across generations.[/field]

An English Countryside Summer Garden Wedding at Home

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]The couple’s vision for their special day was to create an elegant and timeless atmosphere that seamlessly blended with the natural beauty of their family country estate. To achieve this, they chose a sophisticated palette of whites and greens. These colours not only reflected the serene and lush surroundings but also added a touch of classic charm to the overall wedding aesthetic. The crisp whites symbolised purity and new beginnings, while the various shades of green brought in the fresh, vibrant energy of nature. This harmonious colour scheme was thoughtfully integrated into every element of the wedding, from the floral arrangements to the table settings, ensuring a cohesive and breathtakingly beautiful celebration.[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]The couple’s vision for their wedding was quintessentially English, embracing the natural charm and elegance of their family country estate. They aimed to create a clean, natural vibe that felt both timeless and effortlessly sophisticated. One of the standout features was the use of apples from their own orchards, which were thoughtfully incorporated into the design. These apples created a stunning tumbling effect at the entrance of the marquee, offering a unique and personal touch that welcomed guests with a nod to the estate’s heritage. The overall aesthetic was seamlessly blended with the natural surroundings, using elements that enhanced the beauty of the landscape and created an atmosphere of refined simplicity. This approach ensured that every detail, from the decor to the floral arrangements, contributed to a cohesive and enchanting experience for all who attended.[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]After ten and a half years of dating, having met at school, James finally summoned the courage to propose to me in December 2022 at the enchanting Nest hotel in Tulum, Mexico. As we grew older, we faced endless questions from friends and family about when we’d tie the knot. My response was always, “Well, it’s not up to me!” Countless trips had ended without a proposal, and despite James’s assurances, I tried not to get my hopes up. Little did I know that for the past nine months, James had been meticulously planning my dream proposal, collaborating with Pragnell’s jewelers in London to create a bespoke engagement ring.
We traveled to Tulum in December 2022 and were captivated by the beautiful hotel, delicious food, and stunning scenery. On the third day of our trip, a very excited James told me that the hotel was hosting sunset drinks at their prestigious rooftop area. We had discussed earlier that day how few places in Tulum offer a good sunset view, so we were both thrilled.
After a day of sunbathing, we got ready for the evening. We made our way to the beach bar for drinks and then headed up to the rooftop. The setup was breathtaking; dried flowers and candles created a magical ambiance. It still hadn’t dawned on me what was about to happen. We took a seat, and it soon became clear that this setup was exclusively for us. As we watched the sun set under the palm trees, James got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Overcome with adrenaline and excitement, we both cried happy tears. Hearing how he had orchestrated this beautiful proposal, designed the stunning ring without my knowledge, and kept it all a secret while being constantly asked about proposing, was incredibly special.
To my surprise, James had also arranged a private dinner on the beach, decorated with the most beautiful tablescape. It was the perfect evening, and we couldn’t wait to share our news with friends and family the next morning.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Wedding planning and dress shopping began shortly after, as we aimed to get married nine months later. I had a clear idea of the dress style I wanted and booked appointments at local bridal shops in West Sussex that carried my favorite designers. I wanted to change my look for the evening without getting an entirely new dress.
At Whyte Weddings bridal boutique in Chichester, I tried on several beautiful dresses with the help of my mom and sister. The third dress I tried was the one; it was the same dress I had saved on my Pinterest board weeks earlier! Six months and a few alterations later, I had the perfect dress with detachable sleeves that I removed for the evening to change up my look.[/field]

We ordered several styles online due to time constraints and tried them on at our house. To my delight, all four bridesmaids chose the same champagne cowl neck maxi dress from Six Stories. They all looked stunning and made the process stress-free for me![/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]I always knew I wanted to wear a morning suit on my wedding day, with a costume change for the evening—one of the few days I could indulge without question!
From the start of our wedding planning, I thought about my morning suit and evening attire. Fortunately, a family friend owned a bespoke tailoring business, Swatch to Suit, so I quickly arranged a meeting to discuss my options. We talked about alterations, bespoke details, and customizations. After much deliberation, I chose my morning suit design, including the material, custom lining, and small details like our wedding date and names embroidered on the inside collars and pockets. Choosing the materials was challenging, but I was thrilled with the final product. Who knew a tailored suit could boost confidence so much?
For my diva moment, I decided to change into a tuxedo before our entrance to the wedding reception. Swatch to Suit also made the tuxedo, and I went through the same detailed process. Keeping this outfit change a secret, even from close friends, added an extra surprise on the day!
My brother and best man, Harry, wore a similar suit with his customizations, making for amazing photos. My other groomsmen wore morning suits hired from Buckleigh of London in Chelsea. All suits were paired with beautiful sage green patterned ties that perfectly matched our color scheme and the bridesmaids’ dresses.
Overall, I couldn’t have been happier with the final look. Having custom suits made for our big day is something I highly recommend. If only we could do it all over again…[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]The culinary experience at this wedding was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the renowned catering team from Caper & Berry, one of the best in the industry. The festivities began with a warm and inviting rehearsal dinner, featuring sharing plates of chicken fajitas in the cozy party barn. Guests enjoyed a lovely summer evening drinks reception on the lawns, setting the perfect tone for the weekend.

On the wedding day, the celebrations commenced with a champagne drinks reception accompanied by an array of exquisite canapés. Highlights included black cod with BBQ miso and pink ginger dim sum, as well as an English wagyu slider with IPA pickles and Swiss cheese in a brioche bun, a firm favourite among the guests.

The wedding breakfast aimed to capture a true English twist, using the finest local produce. The meal began with a delicate Burrata and honey starter, followed by a succulent duo of lamb for the main course. The feast concluded with a delightful dessert known as Lemon and Flowers, featuring a lemon tart adorned with edible flowers and paired with raspberry sorbet.

As the evening festivities unfolded, a lively cocktail hour energised guests with signature Espresso Martinis and Tom Collins. Late into the night, guests were treated to freshly cooked stone-baked pizzas, served straight from a converted Defender’s stone oven, ensuring that the party continued to delight every palate well into the evening.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The floral and decor elements of this wedding were masterfully crafted by Mad Lilies, who brought to life a quintessentially English design that perfectly complemented the natural surroundings. Working with a green and white color palette, they added warmth through nude-colored Ester & Erik candles and terracotta plant pots, evoking the charm of an English country garden.

A canopy of green foliage, elegantly intertwined with crystal empire lights, created a feeling of understated luxury throughout the space. The top table was a true showstopper, adorned with an abundance of foliage forming a lush canopy overhead. Delicate garden roses adorned the front of the table, with meadow-like arrangements growing up from the base, adding to the whimsical and natural aesthetic.

At the heart of the celebration stood a large olive tree, placed in the middle of a circular bar. This tree served as a striking central point for the party, especially highlighted by the carefully curated lighting design from Luminaire Events, making it the focal point as night fell.

The entrance to the marquee featured a stunning arch on either side, with baskets of apples tumbling from them, sourced directly from the on-site orchard. This element perfectly tied in with the color palette and overall design, creating a warm and inviting welcome for all the guests[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The wedding cake was a stunning creation by Claire Owen Cakes, perfectly embodying the quintessentially English design of the event. The four-tier semi-naked cake was adorned with fresh florals from Mad Lilies, seamlessly tying into the overall aesthetic. Its elegant yet understated appearance complemented the natural beauty of the surroundings and was an ideal choice for the warm summer day. The combination of delicate, fresh flowers and the rustic charm of the semi-naked design made this cake not only a visual delight but also a perfect fit for the occasion.[/field]

A Vibrant “Primavera” Color Story at Rosewood Castiglion Del Bosco

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Camryn’s color story was comprised of lavender, coral, peach, yellow, pink, marigold and orange.[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

This wedding was designed with the stunning Tuscan countryside in mind. In the spring the rolling hills are many shades of green. The bride wanted to embrace a vibrant “primavera” color story with warm greens used in the attire and greenery as an anchor.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Ellis proposed to Camryn while they were on a weekend vacation along the White River in Arkansas with both of their families. Ellis’s young son was present for the moment he popped the question by the water while family members watched from the balconies of their cabins.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Guests were treated to delicious Tuscan wines and Prosecco in addition to an extensive list of cocktails including the well known Aperol Spritz and Margaritas. Espresso martinis were a crowd favorite!

They dined on beef tartare, asparagus risotto, filet mignon and mashed potatoes. Dessert was an Italian Mille-Feuille cake topped with cream and fresh berries.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The florals were fashioned in an organic way to complement the setting of each area that was used for the wedding celebration. For the ceremony lush colorful blooms provided a meadow for the wedding party’s entrance which also wrapped around the platform where they exchanged vows. From the castle ruins guests were transported to Villa Sant’Anna for cocktails on the lawn and dinner in the greenhouse. A floral arch next to the outdoor bar provided the backdrop for the die cut calligraphed butterfly escort cards. Yellow and white striped patio umbrellas and floral tablecloths continued the color story.

As the sun set over the hills of the Val d’Orcia Valley, guests entered the greenhouse for dinner through a lavish floral arch.

For the dinner, long tables were set with feminine layers on top of floral tablecloths. Fresh arrangements were placed along the tables and shades of pastel taper candles were tucked in between them. Pink stemware added whimsy to the place settings while
table numbers were placed in fresh pears and lemons.

Calligraphed and scrolled place cards were affixed to the bottom of the dinner menus.
Along the back side of the greenhouse, a dramatic velvet peach colored drape served as the backdrop for the band and dancing.

Climbing lush floral enhanced the 2-sided bar, lounge and dance spaces. Greenery adorned the three massive iron candelabras hung above. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The venue’s pastry chef prepared the classic Italian Mille-Feuille cake as part of the reception. The layered cake topped with whipped cream and fresh berries was 30″ in diameter![/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The string quartet played some of the couples favorite contemporary songs for the seating of guests and processional. Ellis entered to “Chasing Cars” by Snow Patrol and Camryn entered to the song “Lover” by Taylor Swift.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

Guests were welcomed to the Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco with a personalized itinerary and a bottle of the famed Brunello wine, which was produced at the resort’s own vineyard.
