A Blue and White California Vineyard Dream Ending In an Epic Party

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]blue, white, greenery, wood[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]From the bride: Our theme for the wedding was a French garden party. We loved the idea of overflowing florals, patterns & greenery. We knew Grindstone was the perfect setting as the cypress trees that lined the park immediately gave us the “French” aesthetic and knew our incredible florist Lisa Claire Hunter, could turn it into an overflowing garden. In addition to beautiful florals, we wanted our wedding to be fun, leaving an impression on guests to look back and remember how much fun they had. We had guests traveling from all over the country & world so it meant a lot to us that they knew how special they were to us! [/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]From the bride: We had plans to go to the Morgan Wallen concert with our friends and parents. Prior to meeting our friends; Jared, our parents and I met downtown for drinks. We would often frequent Hotel Winters so when Jared suggested we head there it wasn’t on my radar that he could be proposing. He led me to the water fountain in the courtyard where he got down on one knee. It was so special that our parents got to be apart of the proposal. From there we headed to the concert with our friends & family and celebrated all night! [/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Our incredible caterers, Circa 53 catered a variety of heirloom vegetables, beet salad, salmon and tri tip. Arnold Palmers & Blackberry Margaritas were served as refreshments. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Lisa Claire Hunter brought all our visions to life. From the 50 ft aisle of florals to the overhead trellis that hung above the dining area she made all our floral dreams come true! We incorporated chinoiserie vases, garden trellis’ and monogrammed touches throughout the dining tables. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Our cake was a 4 tier chocolate cake with white buttercream frosting designed and baked by Caked by Dom. It was styled with beautiful florals. [/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Hallees father designed & built the dance floor and bars. It became a labor of love where the whole family would meet on Sundays to help build. To incorporate the grooms love for golf, we had custom golf tees made that were used for garnishes on cocktails. Friends from all over the country and world flew in the celebrate with us – New York, Michigan, Texas, Oregon, Florida, England, Germany & Australia. [/field]

Inspired by the Couples Love of the Mediterranean at Ocean Cliff

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]The colors were blue, white, and bright pinks and oranges.[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The design of the wedding was meant to reflect the couple’s love of the Mediterranean, as they met, fell in love, and returned there to propose!

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Lillie and Rob had both opted to leave Boston College to study abroad in Florence, and they found themselves together on a weekend trip, talking while waiting in line to enter the Blue Grotto of Capri.

As luck would have it, they wound up in the same boat.

Upon their return to Florence, Lillie and Rob ran into each other again, this time at the classic Monday night bar—The Lion’s Fountain, an Irish pub in Florence. Rob walked Lillie home and asked her on their first date—lunch after their Italian class for beginners.

Their next date was at the Piazza di Michelangelo, a lookout point in the city, to watch the sunset. Rob was pretty much all in at this point. Lillie, on the other hand, wanted to take some more time to get to know him.

They spent the rest of their time at Boston College together until graduation in the spring of 2017.

And finally, in the fall of 2022, they returned to Italy where it all began, and Rob asked Lillie to marry him.[/field]

Getting Married In Winter? Here Are A Few Options To Keep Warm While Still Feeling Like A Bride

To all our beautiful snow bunny brides – this one’s for you! If it’s going to be room temperature or colder and your wedding is indoors, you can probably get away with wearing a gown with sleeves. This will provide a little added warmth during the limited time that you will spend outside. Buttt… if it’s going to be below freezing or your gown does not have sleeves, there are a few options that can add extra warmth and coverage without sacrificing style! Lucky for you, we’re dishing all the must-know details below!

Capes

A flowing garment that goes over your gown. They follow the line of the shoulder and usually cover the arm up to the elbow. Capes come in a variety of fabrics, so there’s bound to be one that fits your vision perfectly.

Toppers

A piece that resembles a bodice that goes over the existing bodice on your gown. These come in a wide array of styles and fabrics, the most popular being lace and other sheer materials so as not to completely hide the existing bodice underneath. They can be permanently attached to the gown or fashioned to be removable.

Jackets

Don’t be afraid to have fun with outerwear! A jacket can be a great statement piece that expresses your personality. Leather, denim, and faux fur are all great options to explore. Make sure to bring an actual winter jacket if it is going to be below freezing on your wedding day. These accessories only help a little when it comes to providing warmth, but you will need legit  winter wear if you are going to be exposed to the elements for a prolonged period of time.

BEST FABRICS FOR EACH SEASON

Certain fabrics work better for different seasons based on comfort and style. Spring and summer events call for lighter, more flowy fabrics like English net, tulle, chiffon, organza, charmeuse, taffeta, Chantilly lace, and shantung. On the flip side, fall and winter weddings may be more comfortable with heavier, more ornate fabrics like duchess satin, crepe, gazar, Guipure lace, Alencon lace, velvet, and faille.

The couple, together with their wedding planner, carefully designed a menu that reflected their concept, personal tastes, and Italian tradition. The meal featured three courses: two pasta dishes, a main course, and a pre-dessert sorbet. The drinks were inspired by the couple’s travels, and crafted with the help of an external vendor to recreate the flavors from their journeys. The celebration concluded with a delightful dessert buffet.

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The floral arrangement for the ceremony was designed to complement the villa’s façade, resulting in a display that was rich yet simple and clean, with particular attention given to the aisle path. For the cocktail hour, the concept was to match the flowers with the food at each station, creating harmony between the setup, the dishes, and the drinks. Finally, the dinner setup was designed to highlight the couple’s choice to decorate the marquee with elegant white fabric drapings, creating a soft, elegant, and fluid atmosphere.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

The cake was a live creation, assembled on the spot by the pastry chef. It was beautifully decorated with custard and fresh fruit, featuring layers of meringue and fruit jam inside.

Summer Pastel Wedding in Provence at Chateau de Robernier

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]The wedding was a beautiful celebration of pastel hues, thoughtfully curated to create a cohesive and elegant aesthetic. Every detail, from the bridesmaids’ dresses to the complete stationery suite, was meticulously coordinated. The watercolor invitations set the tone with their delicate, hand-painted designs, seamlessly carried through to the menus, room signs, place cards, and ceremony programs. The floral arrangements, featuring soft, romantic and modern blooms, perfectly complemented the pastel palette. Every element was harmoniously integrated, ensuring that nothing was left to chance in crafting this exquisite and sophisticated wedding.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]The bride’s vision for a modern and sophisticated wedding was beautifully realized in every aspect of the design and ambiance. Guests were asked to adhere to a black-tie dress code, adding an extra layer of elegance to the day. The secular ceremony was imagined as a runway show, with chairs arranged to mimic a fashion show setting, perfectly framing the bridal procession. Guests were invited to bring their drinks to the ceremony, creating a chic yet relaxed atmosphere.

The reception took place inside the chateau’s courtyard, under a canopy of twinkling stars. The aim was to blend elegance with a laid-back vibe, achieved by serving shared plates, encouraging a communal and intimate dining experience. The culinary highlight was a grand pavlova adorned with blackberries and blueberries, adding a modern twist to the meal’s conclusion, along with espresso martinis that offered a sophisticated finish to the night before the party begins.[/field]

This stunning gown features delicate floral appliqués and beadwork that create an enchanting, ethereal look. The dress, with its slender silhouette and graceful train, is a masterpiece of lace and sequins, shimmering subtly in the light. The sheer, fitted bodice with its elegant scoop neckline adds a touch of modern sophistication, while the detailed embroidery evokes a sense of romance and refinement. [/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]The bridesmaids’ dresses were a vision of elegance and charm, each one uniquely beautiful in its own pastel hue. These floor-length gowns created a harmonious palette of soft, dreamy colors, ranging from blush pink to delicate lavender, pale sage green, and light blue. Each dress was carefully chosen to complement the individuality of the bridesmaid wearing it, while collectively adding a romantic and ethereal touch to the wedding’s aesthetic. The fabrics and varying designs brought a delightful diversity to the bridal party, perfectly capturing the essence of a sophisticated and stylish celebration.[/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]The groom was impeccably dressed in a striking black and blue tuxedo that exuded sophistication and style. The exterior of the suit featured a classic black jacket with elegant blue accents, perfectly tailored to highlight his distinguished look. What made this tuxedo truly unique was the attention to detail on the inside. The lining was thoughtfully designed to match the color of the château’s shutters, adding a personalized and intimate touch. Additionally, the suit was custom embroidered with the groom’s initials, symbolizing his unique style and the special significance of the day. This blend of tradition and personalization made the groom’s attire a standout feature of the wedding.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]The culinary experience at the wedding was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the exceptional talents of caterer Amandine from Citron Pavot. The bride herself exclaimed at the end of the meal, “I want to kiss you on the mouth,” expressing how perfect and delicious everything was. The festivities began with a cocktail hour featuring an array of canapés and an impressive oyster bar tower. The couple kicked off the cocktail hour by toasting each other with an oyster.

For the main meal, the guests were treated to a variety of homemade dishes, crafted from high-quality ingredients and served as shared plates on the tables. The selection included salmon, fresh tomatoes, asparagus, truffle pasta, and other delightful dishes that fostered a chic yet convivial atmosphere.

For dessert, the couple opted for a grand pavlova, generously topped with blackberries and blueberries. The guests’ reactions to the first bite were priceless, as the dessert was nothing short of incredible. Before serving this show-stopping pavlova to their guests, the bride and groom had a bit of fun, sprinkling it with powdered sugar themselves.

Some expresso Martinis were served just before the party begins

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The floral arrangements for the wedding ceremony were a array of pastel hues, with each composition along the ceremony runway showcasing a unique blend of colors and flower types. The arrangements included arum lilies, sweet peas, peonies, hydrangeas, carnations, roses, and many more, all without any added foliage, allowing the flowers themselves to shine.

The ground arch at the ceremony was a masterpiece in blue, pink, with touches of white and yellow, creating an elegant effect by varying the heights of the flowers.

For the table designs, floral compositions were placed at the ends of each table, with between three to six arrangements per table depending on their length. These were complemented by elegant sets of three wine glasses and adorned with candles, enhancing the romantic and sophisticated ambiance of the celebration.[/field]

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Music played a pivotal role in setting the tone for this wedding, with a deliberate choice to feature a live band instead of a DJ. During the ceremony and cocktail hour, the delicate strains of two violinists and a bassist created an enchanting atmosphere. As the evening progressed, the musical experience evolved into a lively celebration with a larger ensemble. The party was energized by a dynamic group featuring two vocalists, a saxophonist, a guitarist, a pianist, and a trumpeter, and other musicians ensuring a vibrant and unforgettable ambiance that had everyone on their feet.[/field]

From the bride: Our wedding was incredibly special because it marked the culmination of seven wonderful years together. It was the first time all the people who’ve meant so much to us throughout our lives were gathered in one room. That alone made it one of the best nights of our lives. The overwhelming love from everyone there is something we’ll cherish forever. We wanted to celebrate Amelia Island’s local cuisine for our wedding menu since most of our guests were not from the area. Given the area’s strong shrimping industry, the entree included shrimp and grits alongside short ribs for a true Southern flair. To cap off the night, we surprised our guests with a late-night treat from Chick-fil-A, which was a big hit and added a playful touch to our reception. That was the highlight of the night and our guests still bring it up to us!

[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Floral design was important to the couple and vendor team in creating an elegant look that flawlessly transformed a rustic venue into an elevated atmosphere—with dripping roses and greenery from the ceiling and chandeliers, mixed with sophisticated draping. cascading from the wooden beams, the space was highlighted with its beauty while taken to the next level. Specifically, White blooms were the focus- with a variety of Roses and Garden Roses, Lisianthus, and Ranunculus incorporated with garden-style greenery.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Family played a very special part in the entire wedding and the couple wanted them to have special focus. Interestingly, the couple’s story can be dated back from before they were even born, as the bride and groom’s grandparents had actually met years before they were brought into the world, and they didn’t realize the connection until after they were dating!
Family
Especially important was that with the groom being from Puerto Rico, much of his family flew in for the wedding.
The bride’s father car was the special getaway vehicle, adorned with homemade painted cans that harken back to traditions of the past. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

We thought the oyster shells with people’s names on them were a nice personal touch that our guests could bring home with them and remind them of the coastal feel of Amelia Island.

An Eclectic Feast for the Senses at Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Set against the lush backdrop of Coconut Grove, this eclectic and whimsical wedding was a true feast for the senses, bursting with vibrant colors and unexpected delights. Pops of fuchsia, pinks, and corals intertwined beautifully with deep greens, creating a captivating palette that reflected the couple’s playful spirit. From quirky decor elements to lively floral arrangements, every detail exuded charm and creativity, inviting guests into a world of joy and celebration. Unique seating arrangements and unexpected entertainment kept everyone engaged, ensuring that the day was not just a ceremony, but a joyful adventure. This unforgettable celebration perfectly encapsulated the couple’s love story, leaving everyone with cherished memories of a truly fun and magical day.[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]When designing for Mary and Tom, we wanted to ensure to capture both of them as a couple and their personality into the design. During the wedding planning, Mary a 3rd grade teacher at Pinecrest Elementary in Miami had gone viral for her teaching style (@maryisbannans) which incorporates her love of the Miami Dolphins, football and life lessons for her kiddos. This was all happening during the wedding planning. Featured on the Today show and many local and national outlets it was only natural to incorporate football, the Miami Dolphins and bananas into the design.

The invitations set the tone as the wedding was taking place at Plymouth Congregational Church and the Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove. The beautiful historic stone church was the same church that Mary’s parents had gotten married and her family are active members. Donna Martinez, Mary’s mom, is the director of weddings at Plymouth and Mary is also a wedding coordinator on her spare time. It was now Mary’s turn to be the bride.

The invitations were artfully illustrated by Lauren Quesada with a crest that had a little football in it and a gorgeous artwork of Plymouth and tropical foliage and bougainvillea that captured the landscape of Coconut Grove. This was a beautiful mix of whimsical yet formal with a green silk ribbon to tie all the pieces together.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]At this stunning Miami wedding, guests were treated to an exquisite culinary experience featuring a carefully curated menu that showcased the vibrant flavors of the region. The pre-selected main courses included a beautifully seared branzino served with sweet potato mousseline, baby vegetables, pickled mushrooms, and a rich fig beurre-blanc—perfect for those seeking a light yet satisfying option. For meat lovers, the filet of beef tenderloin was a standout, accompanied by a savory onion relish, crushed potatoes, haricot verts, grilled mushrooms, and an oven-roasted tomato, all drizzled with a luscious tarragon bordelaise sauce. Additionally, a silent vegetarian option delighted palates with a creamy wild mushroom risotto enhanced by Boursin and Parmesan Reggiano. Each dish was thoughtfully designed to elevate the dining experience and celebrate the couple’s love in the heart of Miami.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]We designed a gorgeous wedding and kept in mind the colors of the room when choosing the canvas of the linens and chairs keeping to a neutral base.
The head table at this vibrant wedding was a stunning display of creativity and color, featuring a delightful mix of bright garden florals and elegant orchids, complemented by playful touches of pineapples and bananas. The low centerpieces burst with vivid blooms and zesty citrus accents, enhanced by graceful taper candles nestled in glass cylinders, creating an enchanting atmosphere. Surrounding round tables were adorned with a whimsical canopy of bougainvillea, draping gracefully overhead while hanging citrus and flickering candles added warmth and charm. This imaginative design not only celebrated the beauty of the surroundings but also reflected the couple’s adventurous spirit, inviting guests to bask in a truly tropical and joyful setting.

We enlisted Petal Productions to bring the custom rendering we had created to life. The overhang over the dance floor was one of our favorite touches where guests danced the night away over a patterned dance floor with cascading tropical foliage and disco balls with white decorative hanging monkeys. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The wedding cake design was artfully designed by the in-house pastry Chef at the Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove. The design was a painted delicate tropical design that brought the elegance of the venue while still being colorful and festive. [/field]

Colorful Floral Dreamscape at Historic Atalaya Castle

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]In Sumners words “every color is my favorite”. She envisioned a wedding bursting with vibrant colors. She chose an array of shades in pink, purple, blue, green, orange and yellow to infuse the celebration with a dynamic and joyful palette. They wanted the occasion to feel bright and festive and she felt having a rainbow of colors would help achieve this goal. [/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Sumner and Conrad wanted their wedding to be viewed as a celebration that reflected their lively personalities and love for life. The couple aimed for a fun and energetic vibe, mirroring the joy they brought to each other’s lives. To bring this vision to life, they decided to infuse Atalaya Castle with an array of colorful florals, creating a high-spirited atmosphere. Sumner’s creative touch extended to the decor, where she incorporated playful elements like disco balls into the hanging floral installation above the dance floor, illustrations of their dog Faith Hill & guest experiences at every corner. The result was a wedding that perfectly captured the essence of their relationship – a union filled with laughter, love, and a touch of whimsy.[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Sumner and Conrad’s love story took an unexpected and heartwarming turn during one of their cherished sunrise swims at Barton Springs. Despite Sumner’s initial reluctance to wake up early that particular morning, she and Conrad eventually made their way to the local spring, where the water maintained its refreshing sixty-eight-degree temperature year-round. Little did Sumner know that this swim would be unlike any other. After about 20 minutes of watching the sun rise, Sumner caught on to Conrad’s nerves and realized why he had brought her out for a sunrise swim, but hadn’t jumped in the water yet. Sumner stood up to dive in and Conrad, overcome with love, dropped to one knee and tenderly proposed to Sumner, forever altering the landscape of this morning ritual. The sunrise swim took on a whole new significance as they joyfully embraced the chilly waters, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their lives as an engaged couple. Prior to the proposal Conrad flew all the way to South Carolina to get Sumners moms approval. Conrad proposed with a solitaire ring that had been in his family since the 1870s! The ring started out with three stones from his great , great, great grandfather and has been passed down through the years. [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Sumner radiated timeless elegance in her wedding attire, donning an ethereal gown sourced from Lovely Bride in New York City and designed by the talented Alexandra Grecco. The enchanting “Emmett Gown” she chose was a long, strapless off-white sheath gown that accentuated her grace and poise. Adding an extra layer of enchantment to her ensemble, Sumner adorned the “Emmett Floral Overlay,” a breathtaking detachable piece meticulously hand-embroidered with intricate 3D floral embroidery. The delicate overlay added a touch of whimsy and romance to her overall look, turning Sumner into a vision of beauty as she walked down the aisle. [/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]Sumner and Conrad decided to forgo having a traditional wedding party. You could say that Sumner’s mom was her matron of honor or right hand for the day , dressed in a floor length yellow floral print gown. [/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]Conrad exuded refined style in a dark navy suit from Suit Supply, featuring a sleek black peak lapel paired with a crisp white dress shirt. His ensemble was completed with a sophisticated black bowtie, harmonizing perfectly with the lapel. [field title=”Food & Drink”]Sumner & Conrad had a decent amount of guests who had never been to South Carolina. They really wanted to showcase a good southern cuisine. To mix in a little Texas flair, guests were welcomed with refreshing Topo Chico bottles upon arrival, setting the tone for Sumner and Conrad’s vibrant celebration. The cocktail hour boasted an array of delectable passed hors d’oeuvres, featuring favorites like fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese, gouda mac and cheese bites with sriracha aioli, and mini chicken and waffles drizzled with maple syrup and powdered sugar. Inlet Affairs curated an exceptional culinary experience for dinner, with three distinct stations. The sushi station delighted taste buds with spicy tuna rolls and salmon and cream cheese rolls, accompanied by tuna tataki, edamame, seaweed salad, and condiments. A savory second station offered shrimp and grits, tasso and andouille sausage gravy, and cheese biscuits a nod to the low country. Station three featured a classic salad spread. Two small plate stations wowed guests with steak au poivre and red bliss mashed potatoes, as well as peach tea chicken with peach and mango salsa and vegetable quinoa. The couple’s signature drink, Ranch Water, blended Espolon tequila, Topo Chico, and lime juice, while Coastal Corn provided a satisfying late-night snack for those who danced the night away.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Sumner and Conrad’s wedding blossomed into a floral wonderland thanks to the artistry of RSG Event Designs. Sumner’s bouquet, adorned with yellow, blue, blush, and light purple flowers amidst lush greenery, set the tone for the ethereal theme. Conrad’s matching pocket boutonniere seamlessly complemented Sumner’s bouquet. The aisle was graced with a stunning floral lineup, leading to four grand arrangements at the altar, showcasing a captivating mix of colors, sizes, and species. Vibrant roses, delicate delphiniums, cheerful gerberas, and elegant palm fronds came together to create a breathtaking display of nature’s beauty. The same enchanting assortment adorned a suspended installation above the dance floor, where disco balls added a playful touch. RSG Event Designs further elevated the ambiance with comfortable sofas and tables, crafting a chic yet inviting lounging atmosphere for guests to revel in the celebration’s beauty. The couple created cocktail napkins with love notes they had written to each other over the years as a way for guests to have a small glimpse into their relationship and love for each other. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Sumner and Conrad opted for simplicity and elegance when it came to their wedding cake, entrusting the bakery at Publix in Murrells Inlet with the sweet centerpiece. The three-tiered ,funfetti of course, cake stood tall in pristine white, adorned with a delicate beaded icing border gracing the bottom of each layer. Accompanied by a Fern Amara linen from Nuage designs. [/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Sumner’s journey down the aisle was set to the uplifting melody of “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles, performed live on a baby grand piano by the talented Marissa from Lowcountry Pianist and Co. Her cousins, read “Grace” by Frederick Buechner in honor of her beloved Grandfather. Grace was his favorite devotional and Sumner said the words are a great reminder of the importance of grace in a marriage and in life.

Their first dance was a lively celebration, with Sumner and Conrad infusing the dance floor with energy as they swayed to “I’m a Believer” by The Monkees. The Soul Psychadelique Orchestra brought this iconic song to life, creating a dynamic and unforgettable moment that echoed the couple’s vibrant spirit and love for each other.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Sumner and Conrad’s wedding day was made even more special with the inclusion of their beloved pup, Faith Hill. With the creative assistance of Dizzy Daisy Designs, Kamie brought the furry family member into the celebration through custom illustrations. Faith Hill’s charming depictions adorned various elements of the wedding, from cups to koozies, and even the wallpaper embellishing the bar area. The illustrations captured how the couple wanted the night to progress, by the essence of their canine companion, showcasing Faith sipping a cosmopolitan, then jamming out on the bass guitar (which the groom also plays), sitting pretty, and even dancing under a disco ball.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Breaking away from tradition, Sumner and Conrad made a unique choice by opting out of a traditional wedding party. Instead, they embraced a more intimate approach by reserving seats for their closest friends at the ceremony allowing them to be present in the moment Sumners great uncle, Colonel Thomas Hubert Fincher , Jr. officiated the ceremony. Uncle Tommy was married to his highschool sweetheart, for 68 years! [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Sumner and Conrad concluded their celebration on a high note, opting for a whimsical ribbon streamer wedding exit that added a touch of joy and festivity to the night. Along with some pretty fun dance floor props including , funky shaped sunglasses, beach balls, and headbands. Choosing to incorporate an element of fun and providing guests with memorable souvenirs, the couple bid farewell as vibrant ribbons danced around them. Their departure was equally charming, as they boarded a vintage Volkswagen bus provided by Lowcountry Valet, making a stylish and nostalgic getaway to mark the end of their special day.[/field]

“Italian Dinner Party” Inspired Wedding at Vizcaya Museum Gardens

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

To complement the iconic Miami venue and the stunning Biscayne Bay backdrop, the couple chose a soft palette of light blue, ivory, blush, peach, and butter yellow. These gentle hues were beautifully highlighted throughout the florals, tablescapes, and signage, seamlessly enhancing the overall elegance of the celebration.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The wedding beautifully honored the bride’s Italian heritage, drawing inspiration from the effortless elegance of an Italian dinner party. Central to this vision was the art of duality. Mismatched textured linens, whimsical string lighting, and an open floor plan created a cozy, lived-in ambiance, while the blue ceramic plates, sophisticated bar design, and other refined details offered a polished touch. The couple’s goal was to ensure guests felt both comfortable and captivated by the beauty surrounding them. To achieve this, a gelato cart, a cigar roller, and waterside furniture were incorporated into the festivities. Personalization and attention to detail were key elements of the design, evident in features such as hand-held fans at the ceremony, deckled paper accents, and a custom dance floor. Above all, what resonated most with both the couple and their guests was the palpable sense of love that defined the day. The vision couldn’t have been achieved without the help of an incredible designer Sincerely Ambrosia

The artful gowns at Monique Lhuillier had always captured the bride’s eye, so she knew it would be her first stop on her wedding dress journey. Its structured drop waist design is adorned with delicate lace and large floral appliqué, making it the perfect complement to the elegant, old-world charm of the Miami venue.

The bridesmaid dresses were from Amsale in the color “Ice.” This simple, monochromatic choice perfectly complemented the day’s elegance, allowing the intricate design of the wedding gown to stand out. Florals were a pivotal detail for the couple, who envisioned them as a blend of natural beauty and curated elegance. The floral designer, Anthology Co. masterfully brought this vision to life with lush arrangements throughout the ceremony and reception, as well as in thoughtful details like a welcome cart and an escort display that incorporated Sicilian art. Fruits and vegetables, including vibrant lemons and artichokes, served as focal points in the decor. A deeply personal touch was added with a full, beautiful bouquet of lily of the valley for the bride, honoring her late grandmother’s cherished affinity for the flower.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

The wedding cake was a delightful millefoglie, a traditional Italian pastry. It was both delicious and a charming surprise for guests who were expecting a more conventional wedding cake. Its unique flavor and presentation added a touch of whimsy to the celebration, perfectly reflecting the couple’s distinctive taste.

[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

The ceremony began with a graceful three-piece string ensemble, setting a sophisticated tone. During the cocktail hour, classical guitar covers added a touch of elegance. For the reception, the couple chose a vibrant mix of funk, disco, and modern hits, which was flawlessly executed with a fusion band/DJ combination by Rock With U. This dynamic approach perfectly captured their vision, ensuring the music complemented every moment of their celebration.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

A special detail of the wedding is that the bride and groom, high school sweethearts, happened to marry on the same weekend they first met, exactly eight years later. This serendipitous coincidence was discovered only after the date had been set, adding an extra layer of joy and significance to their celebration.

Inspired by Martha’s Vineyard Timeless Charm at Lambert’s Cove Inn

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Maggie and Sal’s wedding featured soft blues, whites and plenty of lush greenery to complement the beauty of the Lambert’s Cove Inn’s stunning English garden that set the scene for their ceremony.[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Inspired by Martha’s Vineyard and the many trips the couple has taken to the island, Maggie and Sal hosted an effortless wedding in the gardens. It was imperative for the couple that their venue could feel like “home” for more than just one night. Lambert’s Cove not only offered a space with plenty of lodging for their guests, but it also included a storybook setting on Martha’s Vineyard. Painted white fences, stone hedges, and arbors charmed their photo reel. Opting out of floral arrangements, the English Garden ceremony made for the most unique wedding aisle of live botanicals. The couple met at the end of the live blossoming aisle, where a pergola stood, overgrown with natural greenery. Fulfilling a lifelong dream of Maggie’s, her father officiated the ceremony. Most of their day embraced a relaxed and handmade feel. Maggie did her own hair and makeup as she tucked a few white flowers organically into her soft chignon. She also designed all of the paper goods and signage for the event. Charmed reception tables were set with blue glassware, bud vases, and dainty white and blue flowers. And for a full-circle moment, the hip-hop artist from the couple’s fateful first meeting even performed that night!

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Maggie and Sal were at a dive bar in Somerville, Massachusetts for amateur hip-
hop night when they first met. After a night of dancing and a competitive game of darts, their fate was sealed. The couple resides in the south end of Boston and adores their neighborhood. Sal knew Maggie would want to keep their engagement intimate and close to home. He proposed in front of their favorite cheese shop, Formaggio Kitchen, under the rouse that they needed to pick up some cheese before visiting Sal’s
parents. A stranger took an Oscar-worthy video of the proposal as well as photos of the moment.
Afterward, they drove to Sal’s parent’s house as originally planned, where Maggie’s parents, who had flown in from Illinois, were waiting.[/field]

Spring Garden Wedding Inspiration at the Clifton Inn With Pops of Peach

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”The Inspiration”]For this shoot we wanted to fuse a classic wedding day look with bright spring tones. Keeping in mind couples who love a classic wedding Elle Loren Co. created a romantic, timeless design that mixed nude and ivory tones with reds, peach and burnt oranges for color. The tone was set first with an elegant wedding invitation suite with a romantic design, soft, pastel palette and painted details. The ceremony itself was more classic with softer floral tones, but opted for an elevated dais rather than a traditional arch to modernize the setup. The shoot ended with a timeless reception on the Clifton’s front lawn, but threw in the popular, modern trend of swapping a cake cutting for a champagne tower! [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Blush pink, ivory, peach, red, burnt orange, yellows, nudes and metallic accents of gold and brass

[field title=”The Venue”]The photoshoot took place at The Clifton Inn, a boutique hotel and restaurant in Charlottesville, Virginia. The inn’s historic charm and beautiful gardens make it a popular wedding venue in Virginia’s wine country. The ceremony took place in the lush secret garden with weeping willows adding to the atmosphere as the couple tied the knot on an elevated round dais. After portraits around the inn’s grounds the reception was held on the front lawn with the manor house serving as the backdrop.

Sculptural Florals and Architectural Dimension Took Center Stage at This Wedding Editorial

Instead of traditional floral centerpieces, we mixed in fruits and vegetables—think artfully arranged avocados, artichokes, plums and grapes, paired with sleek, minimalist tableware.

Our talented florist, Anna Rice of Studio Fleuraison, created a textured ceremony meadow featuring a ground arch of grasses and moss leading to asymmetrical columns of lilies, aliums, and hydrangea.

The martini tower was honestly one of the first things we knew we wanted to incorporate, and we built the design around that. With its clean lines and elegant simplicity, the martini tower added to the modern aesthetic while also giving a nod to our love for the classics. [/field]

It doesn’t have to be classic or perfect – your wedding day can be as funky and unique as you want it to be, if that’s what speaks to you! This Intimate Planetarium Wedding Alongside the Chicago Skyline Is Sure to Inspire

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]black and white[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Early in the planning process, we each wrote down our top 3 goals for our wedding and were pleasantly surprised when we realized we wrote down the exact same things: a fun time, good food and a beautiful view. We decided on the Adler Planetarium early on and knew that we wanted our design to complement and enhance an already beautiful venue with a city and lakefront view. We kept our decor simple and timeless, with black and white as our main colors and touches of gold to add a classic elegance. Our wedding was relatively small at 72 guests so we wanted lots of candles to create an intimate feeling.

Our wedding took place at the Adler Planetarium, where Holly spent a significant amount of time volunteering during high school. We both love space and science and wanted to get married somewhere that represents the pursuit of knowledge that we both value. In this regard, we felt the planetarium represented our values and beliefs better than a traditional church setting. Holly’s experience volunteering at the Adler Planetarium was also the basis of her college essay to UChicago (which is known for its quirky essay prompts), where the couple met! The beautiful view of the city skyline and lakefront made the Adler Planetarium the perfect venue.

We chose the University of Chicago campus for our portrait location because we met while we were college students there. We both had a wonderful experience as students at UChicago. In addition to meeting each other there, we both met some of our closest friends on campus, including our officiant, Neaka Mohtashemi. The ivy covered, neo-Gothic architecture was a beautiful backdrop for our photos. As we took our photos, we were also able to reminisce on all the early memories of our relationship.[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]After spending four years in Los Angeles while Holly attended medical school at USC, we decided to take a road trip across California before making our big move back to Chicago for Holly’s surgery residency. We drove up the Pacific Coast Highway from Los Angeles to the bay area and then visited Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks as well. During our stop at Big Sur, Cristian proposed on the ocean cliffside. Holly was surprised by a musician pretending to pose for an album cover that serenaded the two with La Vie en Rose. Afterwards, we enjoyed the beautiful vista with a charcuterie and champagne picnic that included Holly’s favorite food: Funyuns. The celebration continued with dinner at Aubergine in Carmel-by-the-Sea.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]I’m very detail oriented so I ended up trying over 70 wedding dresses before I found a dress that matched my vision of a timeless strapless gown that had enough detail to keep it from being boring but not too frilly that it would be uncomfortable. I ordered a dress almost a year in advance with some customizations. Unfortunately when the dress arrived, the customizations did not match what I had requested. Neither the bridal shop nor the many tailors I reached out to could fix the mistake, so a few months before the wedding, I had to start the search over again. I was thrilled to find a beautiful Lazaro gown from Aisle Chic that I ended up loving more than my original dress. I love that it has a classic bridal ball gown silhouette but the 3D lace makes it a little more modern.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Food was very important to us, so we were happy to work with Food For Thought who has a lot of experience with Adler and serving up delicious and fun presenting food. We incorporated dishes from our culture in the hor d’oeuvres, like ceviche, a “beef and broccoli” short rib, and pork belly satay. For dinner, we went with a plated dinner, serving traditional dishes like flank steak, white fish and gnocchi. We love risotto and made sure to include it in both options. We opted for an open bar, going heavy on the Tequila. Since our wedding was during Memorial Day weekend, we wanted summer-y specialty cocktails and went with a smoky pineapple Tequila drink and a refreshing cucumber lime and Vodka drink. We ended the night with a delicious dessert bar, incorporating Cristian’s love of chocolate and Holly’s tooth for mango and passionfruit desserts.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Holly and Cristian’s vision of fresh white florals focused on their love of seasonal sweet peas that floral designer Trablume mixed with big garden roses, peonies and hydrangeas. The contrast of delicate sweet peas dancing above the big blumes with warm candlelight created a romantic mood set against a stunning lake backdrop.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]We went with a pistachio cake with pistachio buttercream from Sugar Fixe Patisserie. We went to Italy last year and fell in love with all the pistachio desserts. Cristian loves pistachios so much that Holly’s parents bring him a big jar of pistachios almost every time they see him. The cake design featured fresh flowers and a custom acrylic double happiness sign, a Chinese symbol for marriage as a nod to Holly’s heritage.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”][/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Holly’s family is Chinese and Cristian’s family is Mexican so it was important to incorporate elements from both cultures in the wedding. Our ceremony featured a Mexican lasso ceremony. The lasso, or “el lazo,” is a loop of cord that is placed around the shoulders of the couple, forming the infinity symbol. Cristian’s parents picked out our lasso during their most recent trip to Mexico. This act represents the infinite bond and love that they share, as well as the support and commitment they offer each other as they embark on this journey together. During the ceremony we had our parents place the lasso over us as our officiant shared words on commitment and love.

During our reception, we incorporated another Mexican tradition called “el muertito.” During this tradition, Cristian was carried around the room by the men at our wedding and then tossed in the air. This is supposed to symbolize the “death” of his single life and was a fun way to start our reception.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]We also included a Chinese jiao bei ji, or “wine sharing” toast in our ceremony, where the bride and groom traditionally cross arms as they drink. The Chinese word for wine (jiu) sounds like another Chinese word (also pronounced jiu) which means a long time, so the toast symbolizes being together forever. We toasted with a Chinese rice wine called “nu er hong.” In ancient China, when a daughter was born, the parents would carve or paint jars of nu er hong and bury them underground, unearthing it on the daughter’s wedding day. Our wine glasses were red, which symbolizes good luck in China, and also featured the Chinese double happiness symbol, which was again used on our wedding cake.[/field]

A Mesmerizing Wedding Weekend at Villa Balbiano on Lake Como

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Immersing ourselves in the love story of Alina and Pavel, we discovered that their future family has a guardian guiding them, and it is a wild cat. Alina’s favorite animal is the panther, while Pavel is a Leo by zodiac. The symbol of the trendy lounge bar in Toronto where the couple met is a leopard, which the couple learned about with pleasant surprise during the concept presentation.

Wild cats, known for living in prides, create a close-knit family unit led by a dominant leader. Since Alina decided to take her husband’s surname after their marriage, the wedding was beautifully named “The Levin’s Pride”.

In developing the designs and sketches for the project, we harnessed the limitless possibilities of AI. Our goal was to create entirely new visuals that seamlessly blend Africa with Italy, the tropics with European architecture, and the past with the future.[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]One year before their wedding, the groom planned an unforgettable surprise during their trip to Lake Como. After a scenic boat ride, they arrived at the enchanting Villa La Casinella. Awaiting Alina in the villa’s gardens was a breathtaking scene: a romantic dinner table nestled within a heart crafted from vibrant red roses. The stunning setup reflected the groom’s love and anticipation, creating a beautiful memory they would cherish forever.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]As dusk settled over the garden, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement. Guests mingled, drawn to the open bar that promised an array of signature cocktails inspired by classic Italian recipes.

The Levin’s Pride was the first cocktail to catch their attention—a refreshing mix of prosecco, peach schnapps, and cranberry juice. Guests savored the fruity notes, laughter bubbling up as they clinked glasses.

Next, the Safari Spritz emerged, its vibrant combination of Aperol, prosecco, soda, and orange brightening the evening. The drink’s effervescence mirrored the cheerful chatter surrounding the bar.

Not to be outdone, the Lion’s Roar, a bold blend of Campari, prosecco, soda, and orange, made its entrance. Its striking color and robust flavor captivated adventurous spirits.

The Panther’s Kiss followed—a sweet, fruity cocktail featuring raspberry liqueur, peach schnapps, and champagne. It was a favorite among those with a penchant for dessert-like drinks.

For the more daring guests, Jungle Fever offered a tropical escape with tequila, lime juice, and a medley of fruit juices. Each sip brought a taste of adventure, sparking conversations about travel and exploration.

Meanwhile, the culinary show unfolded nearby. Chefs skillfully prepared Italian cheeses and salami, while tempura finger foods sizzled enticingly. The aroma of fresh pasta and truffles wafted through the air, drawing everyone closer to the action.

As the evening progressed, a four-course dinner featuring traditional Italian dishes awaited. Each course was a celebration of flavors, from rich antipasti to hand-crafted pasta, followed by delicious pizza and expertly grilled meats.

With a backdrop of laughter, good food, and delightful cocktails, the night blossomed into a memorable celebration, a true feast for the senses.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The ceremony decor took an innovative approach, blending the inspiration of the tropical rainforest with high fashion, all enhanced by the capabilities of artificial intelligence. We drew from the new art movements of the METAMODERN era, particularly the conceptual OXYMORON, which employs contradictions to create a striking stylistic effect.

The essence of our decor concept for the dining area was a synthesis of wild natural beauty and the structured elegance of modern design. We envisioned a future where the chaotic beauty of nature coexists with the organized sophistication of minimalism. Chromed accents and clean lines provide a striking contrast to vibrant greenery and delicate florals, resulting in a captivating harmony.

Imagine futuristic lighting casting dynamic shadows that mimic the dappled sunlight found in the jungle. Our design incorporates a combination of watercolor illustrations and AI-generated patterns, alongside handcrafted elements and cutting-edge printing techniques. The custom monogram reflects the refined style of Hermes, adding an elegant touch.

Guests will be treated to thoughtful gifts, including custom beach bags, handmade silk scarves, and a selection of Italian delicacies: Cinzano, Amaretti cookies, and olive oil, making the experience truly memorable.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The decor of the 4 Levels All Milk White Cake was truly stunning. Created by the talented Parisian pastry chef from Made in Cake, this cake featured a rich cream custard layered with fresh berries. Its design was inspired by the delicate beauty of wildflowers, which brought a light and airy feel to the event. To enhance the overall aesthetic, the cake was displayed on a table with a sleek, futuristic design, creating a perfect harmony between nature and modern elegance.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The ceremony took place with the accompaniment of a white piano. A lyrical tenor performed “OH, MY LOVE” from the movie Ghost as the bride walked down the aisle.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Our team designed custom costumes for the dancers to welcome guests and perform during dinner, drawing inspiration from the spirit of wild animals and the “Sci-Fi” artistic genre. As guests arrived at Villa Balbiano, they were greeted by professional dancers in these unique outfits. In the evening, the event transformed into a vibrant jungle scene with futuristic costumes and vocal techniques, all enhanced by a captivating display of live primal fire. When Alina and Pavel approached the cake, a magical backdrop came to life behind them—pyrotechnic cascades flowed from above, resembling waterfalls deep in the jungle. The contrast between delicate floral motifs and striking pyrotechnics created a mesmerizing effect, symbolizing the harmony of beauty and dynamism found in nature’s most exquisite landscapes.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The unconventional seating plan became a true entertainment for guests during the aperitif. To find their seat, a guest would ring a bell, state their name, and receive a glass of prosecco along with an elegant card featuring their name and table number.

[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]The welcome dinner at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo was a vibrant ode to life, presenting a fresh interpretation of the Dolce Vita concept. The celebration combined the rich, warm hues of the Italian sun with the refreshing blue tones of Lake Como.

For the pre-wedding dinner, we created a unique seating arrangement featuring mini liqueurs. Each guest was selected and gifted a unique liqueur—Limoncello, Gin, Amaretto, Amaro, Rum, Brandy, Campari, Tequila, and others—totaling 52 different types of miniature bottles.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed a variety of culinary shows: woks, pizza, barbecue, flambé shrimp, tempura, and a mozzarella bar. Guests were also treated to an open designer cocktail bar featuring personalized drinks all evening long.

The vibrant moments of this day were captured by two talented photographers—Alex Gaidashev and Inna Nova.[/field]

Adventure Loving Bride’s Need to See This Three Peaks Ranch Wedding in Colorado

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Natural Hues of linen, blush, olive, lavender, & cream[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

The overall vision for our wedding was to allow our guests to experience the love we have for the mountains. Most of our guests have never been to Colorado. So when it came time to decide on where to get married, it seemed fitting to choose the same state where we had our first trip together as well as where David proposed. Come wedding day we wanted the mountains to be the main “decor” with touches of natural floral hues. Looking back, the vibe for that day was love in the mountains.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]David and I had been together for 4 years at this point. We decided to take a trip with my family to Colorado for my birthday. The week was filled with adventurous hikes, horseback riding, and late nights by the fire. But little did I know that my dream of being proposed to in the mountains was about to come true. On the day of my birthday we packed up our lunch and decided to hike up to Emerald Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. Once we arrived at the lake with picturesque mountain views, David got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Saying yes was the easiest decision I have ever made.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]It took endless searching for that perfect wedding dress, but for some reason none of them felt like they were the one. Until one day I was scrolling through my mood board and came across a dress by Alena Leena that I was always drawn to. So I called around to a few shops to see who carried the dress and ended up at A&Be Bridal that next day. The moment I had put it on I just knew this was the one. In the end I ended up choosing the dream dress that I had saved on my phone months prior to searching.[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]Each one of my bridesmaids is so unique and has impacted my life in different ways, so I wanted their dresses to reflect that. I told them my vision for wanting natural hues and floral detailing, from there they just knew which dresses to look for. As for my maid of honor, she was my something blue.[/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]David bought his suit from Jos A Bank and it was the perfect look for what we envisioned. We wanted a more natural color and texture so we chose a tan linen suit for David and a light gray for the groomsmen.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]The signature drinks were a special detail to our wedding day. We had “The Charlie,” a smoked old fashion and “The Lizzy” a c’est la vie. Not only were they delicious and our usual drink order, but it was also a way to incorporate our dogs in our wedding since they were not able to be there with us.
[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]I wanted something unique, soft, romantic, and garden style for our florals and decor. Think French provincial but in the mountains of Colorado. I chose to incorporate potted plants throughout the venue for a more natural/organic look while also wanting to bring them back home with us to replant in our garden. I had told Calla Lane Florist my vision and they did a beautiful job creating a floral design that would complement the rest of the decor.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Lemon Lavender and Chocolate cake have always been our favorite flavors. But what made our wedding cake extra special was that my mom made it for us. She has been a professional baker ever since I was a little girl so having someone else make our cake wasn’t even in the picture.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Having my brother officiate our wedding made our ceremony more meaningful and personable. What I loved most was the feeling of stepping back in time as he told stories of David and I’s relationship blossoming over the years. As for our music we chose Texas Capital DJ to play the violin during our ceremony and it couldn’t have felt any more magical.
[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Being a wedding planner and planning my own wedding definitely had its perks. What made the day more beautiful was how I was able to see it all unfold through the eyes of being a bride. Not only was I already familiar with the planning process but I was able to take all the details I had loved when planning other weddings and add them into ours. I couldn’t have planned our dream wedding any other way.
[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]My goal when planning my wedding was to make sure David and I enjoyed every moment with each other and our guests. Just the thought of all our close relatives and friends in one place celebrating our love for eachother seemed like pure bliss. Looking back not only do I wish I could relive it, but I am grateful at the fact that we were present during every moment. For that we will savor those memories for the rest of our lives.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Our exit was actually a surprise to us. Stand By Me by Ben E. King began to play as all of our family and friends gathered around us on the dance floor for our last dance. At that moment we felt an immense amount of love from all our favorite people. It was the perfect end to a beautiful day.[/field]

Southern Elegance Wedding With a Touch of New Orleans at Thompson Dallas

Classy, traditional, and timeless with touches of New Orleans and Texas to incorporate their families, as well as references to American Airlines (where they both met).

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

HOW THEY MET: The day was March 6th, 2021, and I was at DFW Airport’s Gate B34 about to hop on a flight to Panama City Beach, FL. I caught a glimpse of Olivia for the first time walking down the terminal with friends, one group of several girls trips on my flight that day. I boarded and grabbed my seat, 6A. Shortly after that, Olivia sat right next to me in 6C, both of us in face masks. I spent about five or so minutes trying to figure out what to say to her first, and in the most creative fashion asked, “Are you going on Spring Break?”. I am known to have the best pickup lines… She replied and soon we figured out that we were both seniors in college, moving to Dallas, and starting our careers in commercial real estate. We chatted it up the whole flight, from takeoff to landing. In the end, I asked for her number and asked her if she wanted to go out when we both got back to Dallas. A week later, we did exactly that. However, the date lasted much longer than either of us expected. All evening, we zipped around Dallas to more than several spots that we still hang around to this day. Turns out, that was the first of many dates, with many more to come. Olivia connected with my family instantly, particularly my sister Abby, which made me fall in love with her even faster. My closest friends loved her just as much. After two years, we still make great, wonderful memories every single day. PROPOSAL STORY: Jack asked to marry me on the back porch of his family home in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. We celebrated with a beautiful dinner at home with our families right after. It was the best day!

Sophistication Meets All-White Glam for This Elegant Lowcountry Wedding

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]White, cream, champagne, and hints of sage.[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Alexis and Truett’s Montage Palmetto Bluff wedding weekend was a perfect blend of glamorous, sumptuous details with a neutral color palette and romantic design. The couple, originally hailing from Florida, wanted to create a perfect wedding weekend for their 100 guests from near and far that exuded sophistication and personal touches throughout. The couple worked with the planning team at Amanda Rose Weddings to concoct a design that was filled with candlelight, towering floral compotes of orchids, and local foliage. The couple chose to have their first look on the Palmetto Bluff property, nestled underneath the ancient oak trees and Spanish moss of the Village Park Square of the property. An intimate, candlelit ceremony in the May River Chapel treated guests to heartfelt vows and stunning views of the May River at the back of the chapel. Guests were ushered to an outdoor cocktail hour on the lawn, featuring plenty of refreshments for the hot summer day, and live jazz music playing in the background while guests and the couple mingled. As the sun began to set over Bluffton, the couple joined their guests in the Oak Ballroom of the property, where they were treated to an all-white reception design filled with candles, glass, and white orchids and roses down three long king tables to encourage guest mingling throughout the evening. [/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]The couple met in late 2018 at a locals favorite country bar in Orlando, Florida, where the two met by chance and immediately hit it off, dancing the night away together. Alexis, a physician, was just about to leave the Orlando area for New York to complete her medical school rotations, and the two agreed to keep in touch as she embarked on her newest adventure. When Alexis found herself back in Orlando for additional rotations, the two reconnected and made things official.

Alexis’s medical career brought her to Chicago in 2021, and the couple embarked on a 1200-mile,18-hour long distance experience. Despite the distance, the two of them made it work, and in 2023, Truett surprised Alexis with a trip to Napa Valley, where he proposed to her at a favorite vineyard! [/field]

Wanting something a little different than the traditional white wedding gown, Alexis adored the ‘just barely blush’ coloring of this gown, paired with a slight shimmer throughout. The dress included straps adorned with floral accents, adding a whimsical and ethereal touch to the look. The bodice featured a deep, sweetheart neckline and parallel cut for the back. Flowing from the fitted waist, the skirt was voluminous with layers and layers of tulle, creating a soft and dreamy silhouette that was perfectly complemented by the gorgeous light and lush greenery of the Palmetto Bluff property. The gown extended into a dramatic train that was mirrored by the bride’s gossamer cathedral-length veil in the same tulle featured throughout the gown.[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]Alexis’s bridesmaids’ gowns were perfectly elegant and coordinated, complementing the bride’s gorgeous blush Galia Lahav wedding dress. Each bridesmaid wore a gown of floor-length chiffon in a light neutral blush tone from Azazie, adding a gentle, ethereal vibe to the wedding’s overall color palette. The dresses had a halter neckline with a keyhole detail, creating a contemporary look. The chiffon fabric was perfect for the hot summer wedding day, lightweight and flowy in body, creating lots of visual movement and keeping the bridesmaids comfortable. Like the bride, each bridesmaid carried an all-white bouquet of orchids and roses, completing their neutral yet glamorous overall look.[/field]

Cocktail hour also featured passed hors d’oeuvres of caprese bites, chicken and waffles, mini lobster rolls, and bacon-wrapped dates.

As the couple and their guests danced the night away late into the evening, late night snacks of mini milkshakes and sliders were passed around, much to their guests’ enjoyment! [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]At the very start of the design process, the bride, working with her planning and design team at Amanda Rose Weddings, wanted to concoct a wedding weekend design that featured lots of neutral, lush floral design, dramatic compotes, and lots of candlelight throughout! Working with local Lowcountry floral designer, Kato Floral Designs, a design of whimsical, organic florals were created for the wedding day. The bridal bouquet was kept modern and clean, featuring an all-white assortment of white and ivory roses and a cascading flow of orchid blooms and stems down the front. The all-white design was carried into both the ceremony and reception florals, which were both filled with white blooms, local lush greenery accents, and candlelight throughout.
For their May River Chapel ceremony, the couple opted for a design blending both the elegant and lush, creating a serene and romantic atmosphere as they shared their vows with one another. The aisle was lined with arrangements of white roses and orchids, paired with flowing greenery that cascaded over the sides of the wooden pews. At the altar, a wooden cross served as the focal point, framed by a large arched window that filled the space with natural light, giving an airy and open feel. Beneath the window, clusters of candles in glass cylinders were arranged in various heights, enhancing the ambiance with a warm, intimate glow. The combination of white florals, greenery, and candlelight complemented the chapel’s classic architecture, creating a beautiful and peaceful setting for the ceremony.
Alexis & Truett’s romantic reception in the Montage property’s Oak Ballroom was thepièce de résistance of their sophisticated, luxurious wedding and floral design. Three long king tables were set with tall, lush arrangements of white roses, hydrangeas, and other soft white blooms. These towering centerpieces created an elegant vertical element, drawing the eye upward and adding grandeur to the room’s vaulted ceilings and tall windows. Each table was arranged with plenty of candles in clear glass and touches of gold throughout. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Alexis and Truett opted for a gorgeous, all-white three-tiered wedding cake from the Montage patisserie covered in white fondant and a cascade of white fondant orchids. The cake featured tiers of Southern Magnolia Wedding Cake, with yellow cake and chocolate icing and candied cashews throughout, as well as Yellow Hawthorne Wedding Cake, with dark chocolate cake, chocolate ganache, and peanut butter cups.[/field]

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]This wedding was a harmonious blend of rustic charm and refined elegance, set against the backdrop of a historic church and the natural beauty of the Finca. The couple’s vision was brought to life with thoughtful details, from glass chandeliers casting a soft, warm glow over the top table to olive trees adorned with hundreds of twinkling fairy lights. [field title=”Proposal Story”]

After more than a decade of creating memories together, Michael knew he wanted his proposal to be something truly special. With South Africa holding a special place in their hearts, he chose the breathtaking backdrop of Table Mountain to pop the question. As they stood there, taking in the stunning views, Michael suddenly dropped to one knee, completely catching Jennifer off guard. It was a moment that felt like it was straight out of a dream, with the crisp mountain air filled with excitement. [field title=”Wedding Gown”]Jennifer knew she had found something special when she came across the Jess dress by Eva Lendel online. She was immediately drawn to its timeless elegance and the way it seemed to blend modern sophistication with just the right amount of romance. It was the first dress she tried on, and as soon as she saw herself in the mirror, she knew it was the one. The gown’s delicate lace detailing and graceful silhouette perfectly matched the vision she had for her wedding day. It wasn’t just a dress; it was a reflection of how she wanted to feel—elegant, beautiful, and completely herself.[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]

When it came to her bridesmaids, Jennifer wanted them to feel as stunning as the setting of her Mallorcan wedding. She envisioned dresses that were chic and flattering, with a relaxed elegance that would harmonize with the island’s natural beauty. She chose soft, muted tones that complemented the serene surroundings, and the flowing fabrics added a touch of grace to each bridesmaid’s look. Jennifer was thoughtful in her choices, ensuring that the dresses didn’t just look good, but also made her friends feel beautiful and comfortable. The result was a bridal party that perfectly captured the effortless elegance of the day, with each bridesmaid radiating her own unique beauty.

[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]Michael knew that he and his groomsmen needed to look sharp, but he also wanted their outfits to reflect the laid-back vibe of a summer wedding. He opted for classic suits in light, breathable fabrics that were perfect for the warm Mallorcan weather. The suits were tailored with clean lines and modern cuts, giving the men a polished look without sacrificing comfort. To add a personal touch, Michael selected accessories that subtly tied into the wedding’s color palette, ensuring everything was cohesive without being too matchy-matchy. The groomsmen’s attire complemented the bridesmaids’ dresses beautifully, creating a look that was both sophisticated and perfectly in tune with the relaxed, sun-kissed atmosphere of the day.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Guests were greeted with a culinary experience that perfectly reflected the couple’s love for Spanish flavors. A selection of fresh canapés, each thoughtfully chosen for its authentic taste, was paired with the couple’s signature ‘Hugo’ cocktail—a refreshing prelude to the main event. [field title=”Florals & Decor”]The venue was transformed into a romantic haven, where every detail whispered elegance. Crystal chandeliers hung like jewels, casting a warm, ethereal light across the space. A grand floral arch framed the entrance, its lush greenery and soft white blooms creating a breathtaking focal point. Pillars wrapped in cascading florals completed the look, adding a touch of enchanted romance to the setting.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]In a nod to timeless elegance, the couple chose a champagne tower in lieu of a traditional wedding cake. [field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Music played a central role in setting the tone for the day, beginning with soulful melodies that filled the historic church, adding an emotional depth to the ceremony. As the evening progressed, a DJ took over, transforming the reception into a lively, unforgettable celebration where guests danced under the stars, lost in the magic of the night.[/field]
