New Hampshire Wedding from Julia Vandeoever

I knew from the moment I spotted this beauty of a BHLDN dress mixing and mingling with the stunning New Hampshire scenery that this wedding was going to be in a league of lovely all of its own. And I wasn't disappointed. Not in the least. From the Bride... When Scott and I first starting making our wedding plans, we knew exactly where to turn for inspriration: family. I grew up with summers on Squam Lake in New Hampshire where our days were filled with boardgames, swimming, music, hanging out on the dock. We wanted our friends and family to experience it too. We knew that Rockywold Deephaven Camps, a rustic family camp with cabins lining the lake, would be the ideal setting for a weekend of celebration. From the invitations to the welcome bags with mini smores kits to a sing-along around campfire at rehearsal dinner, we wanted our wedding to feel personal, informal, and fun. We were married on Chocorua Island in the middle of the lake, and our reception was at the camp dining hall. My parents and I spent all 16 months of my engagement collecting vintage place settings, antique plates and goblets that were made into serving platters, old family photos and books that transformed the room into the personal, warm space I had envisioned. By the end of the night, our guests were full from family style bbq and homemade ice cream sandwiches and exhausted from pants-splitting dancing and all talking about plans for getting together again at the same place next year -- it was the perfect weekend.
