Calistoga Wedding with Must-See Ceremony Lounge Seating!
I love when couples break tradition. When they add their own little this-is-our-day twist. This beautiful duo? They chose to switch up their ceremony a bit and created the coolest lounge space à la Bright Events for their bridal party, foregoing the classic standing lines. And I'm obsessed. From Charmed Events Group...Jane and Carl had a beautiful Fall wedding at the Solage Calistoga. They wanted to have a modern wedding with a mix of rustic elements so we used a color palette of Peach and various tones of grey, matched with rustic furniture, wooden elements and lace to complete the design.
For the ceremony, we created a "lounge" for the wedding party to mix up the traditional notion of having the wedding party stand in the front with the bride and groom. Instead, two rustic couches were brought in for the wedding party to sit at and stand behind. For the couple, we created a draped ceremony altar that was adorned by flowers and foliage by Poppy's Petalworks.
Guests were invited to find their names on a wooden wall adorned with ivy and foliage and encouraged to sign a wooden slab with the couple's initials on it.
The ballroom at the Solage Calistoga is gorgeous with it's high barn ceilings and cement flooring. For a hint of glam, we brought in a large chandelier that hung above the dance floor. We created a floor plan of mixed tables for guests and each guest menu was personalized with their names. For a touch of romance, we had lots of tapered candles for each guest table and had candelabras on the head table for the wedding party.
The best part of the day was probably the speech that the groom gave during the ceremony in which he professed all the reasons and ways in which he loved his new wife to be. There was not a dry eye in the house!
