Rustic + Romantic Wisconsin Barn Wedding
Weddings are all about special moments, and this rustic affair is full of them. From the Bride and Groom's sharing sweet love letters to each other before their first look to her Grandfather's toast to his wife of 60 years and love at first sight, this day will make you smile (so will the stunning Tara Keely for JLM Couture wedding dress!). See it all from Kate Weinstein here.
From Kate Weinstein Photo...Brooke & Tristan were married at the gorgeous Farm at Dover, located between Milwaukee and Chicago.
Brooke and her maids got ready in the beautifully decorated house on the Farm at Dover's property. Brooke wore a low-back dress by Tara Keeley, and her wild bouquet of peach, yellow, and lavender flowers perfectly complemented the navy dresses (and navy polka dot shoes) her bridesmaids wore.
Before their first look, Brooke and Tristan read side by side the love letters they had written one another. It was such a sweet moment and one of my favorites from their day.
Brooke & Tristan's reception toasts were unique in that each person in their wedding party, their parents, and their grandparents gave toasts to the newlyweds.
In two especially memorable toasts, Brooke's sister wrote her speech as a song, and sang her guitar-accompanied toast, and Brooke's Grandpa spoke about how it was love at first sight when he first saw his wife of almost 60 years and Brooke's grandma. "The first time I saw her I said that's the most beautiful woman I've ever seen.. Sixty years later, I still think she's the most beautiful woman I've ever seen."
There were also some DIY'ed items from the day: the Groom made the invitations and programs, the bride and groom made their own favors (honey jars), and did their own flower center pieces, and family members provided the music.
