Any self-proclaimed SMP bride holds a special spot in our hearts. The reason we do what we do (aside from our extreme obsession with everything pretty, chic, and matrimonial) is for you. For the bride who spends her lunch hour scouring our galleries, reading our archives, and perusing our Pinterest. We’re happy to do it, and all we ask in return are a few pictures of your big day. Especially if it’s planned by one of our fab LBBers like Victoria Canada Weddings and Events. And extra especially if Stephanie Fay Photography captured about a million “to-die-for” moments.

If you’re not quite done, you’re in luck. I Do Films has a beautiful highlight film for us!

From the planner… Megan and Adam’s dream modern wedding was anything but ordinary. It was not a typical wedding- it was a beautiful ballroom wedding with a cohesive color story with the main color a rich blue. The same day edit film is just breathtaking!

Adam’s smile and sense of humor won Megan over that night they met. One year later they were happily engaged. Adam surprised Megan with a trip to Napa that she’s always dreamed of. He proposed with a custom ring that he designed for her on a walk at the Tournesal winery. Just like their engagement, they wanted their wedding be fun and flawless. They hired Victoria Canada Weddings and Events to help organize their perfect day. Victoria designed a stylish and elegant setting with a modern feel utilizing of a brighter navy blue and crisp whites and soft grays at the Montelucia Resort in Paradise Valley, Arizona.

The ceremony backdrop was the infamous and naturally beautiful Camelback Mountain. The reception took place in the in the Spanish inspired Valencia Ballroom at the Montelucia resort and spa. The gentlemen lounged by the pool outside the 3,000 + square foot Camelback Suite also used for the brunch on Sunday. The Ladies ate a light lunch and lounged in custom robes in the Andalusian Presidential Suite. The brightly lit space was filled with music and laughter and a perfect way to stat a wedding day.

Megan and Adam knew right away they wanted to get married at the Four Diamond Intercontinental Montelucia Resort and Spa. They have spent many brunches with their families here and fell in love with the venue. Megan wanted to bring in a unique design with a personalized quatrefoil pattern. The bride is an avid SMP reader and gained inspiration from numerous Style Me Pretty Weddings. It quickly turned into her “wedding planning go-to”. In Megan’s own words “I wanted my décor and design to lend itself to the resort, not compete with it. I absolutely loved the beautiful shade of blue tile in the resort’s gorgeous spanish fountains. So much so, that I decided to highlight this blue – not quite navy, not quite cobalt…a beautiful in-between – as the primary color throughout my wedding, with a simple background of white and pops of gray. Adam and I both love clean lines and a modern aesthetic. We used quatrefoil patterns as a nod to the Spanish Moroccan feel of the resort, and paired it with simple, modern fonts and text to keep the feeling contemporary.”

What made Megan’s wedding one of a kind was the branding of the wedding from start to finish. In Megan’s own words “My absolute favorite design element from our wedding had to be our quatrefoil monogram. I am a sucker for anything personalized, so being able to “brand” our wedding with customized items – the drink stirrers, laser engraved wine box, napkins, menus, cake stand, dance floor, etc. – made it feel that much more special and unique”

Before the wedding began, the guests were greeted at their hotel with a custom jute hotel bag that included all things Arizona such as Arizona Iced Tea, locally made Poore Brothers Potato chips, local Mexican chips and salsa, and Arizona sunscreen. It also included a hangover kit so they were prepared for the day after the wedding. The bags were large enough to be used at the pool and was a great ice breaker for guests lounging to know who was there for the wedding.

-Before the ceremony, the beautiful Gemma dress by Vera Wang hung on a Monogrammed “Mrs. Livingston” Hanger. She chose the Gemma dress because she loves how mermaid dresses accentuate a women and thought the dress was “artistic and dramatic, yet still soft and ethereal”.
-At the ceremony they had a Wine box with love letters to be placed inside- On their first anniversary they will enjoy the wine and read the letters. Wine is very symbolic to them because of their engagement in Napa.
-The seating cards were delicious chocolates completely customized from Rogue confections. With several different patterns the chocolate had patterns that had been used on the various paper products. Each Chocolate had a table number on them and were placed on a seating card with their name written by a local calligrapher. When you picked up your chocolate there is a hidden message for the guests! “Love is Sweet”
-Custom cocktail napkins with their initials monogrammed
-Monogrammed swizzle sticks and color coordinated straws
-They had their own signature drink which was a Prickly Pear Margarita representative of our Southwestern Flair
-Megan loved the idea of having a poster for the guests to sign because “I really wanted a momento of our guests that we could admire on a daily basis, rather than have tucked away on a shelf, so the custom made poster was a perfect choice” It was a gift from a guest that had their wedding date and was reminiscent of a vintage movie poster.
-Flip flops for the ladies with torturous high heels complete with a sign that said “Kick off your heels and Dance the Night Away!”
-Instagram sign #thelivingstons so friends and family could share their wedding!
-The Cake made by Piece of Cake desserts was solid white with a flower design, stood on a one of a kind monogrammed stand hand papered by the stationer.
-Custom etched champagne Flutes
-Monogram vinyl on white dance floor
-“Adams Cigars under the stars” which was a cigar roller with custom labels outside with lounge area for the men and some ladies. Enjoying a cigar at the end of the night with Camelback Mountain.
-Reverse happy hour that included hot dogs and sliders were a nice treat to the dancing guests!
-The lounge area had Decor monogrammed pillows that the couple later used in their new home.
-Letterpress invitations with a mix of patterns.
-Stunning mix of high and low sleek centerpieces.
-custom bars with high tables and tall Chameleon Chairs for guests to mix and mingle at an alternative setting vs. at guest tables.
-“Live” photo booth with props and a fun party favor for the guests! This crew was a big University of Arizona crowd and the props were all about the Wildcats!
-Same Day Edit from I Do Films. We had two TV’s with a resting screen with their monogram and some looping engagement photos. After the same day edit was completed we looped it at the bars for the remainder of the evening.
