From the Bride... Who says you can't plan a wedding in 3 months? It's definitely not easy, but it CAN be done, ladies! My husband and I had originally been planning for an April 2013 wedding in my hometown, Chicago. Planning from Austin, Texas, we were hoping for a longer engagement to get all of the details just right. My husband, a Marine, found out in September that there wasn't a guarantee he'd be able to make it to our April wedding date. We were quickly forced with the decision to move up our wedding to December, only 3 months away.

Did I mention that I didn't even have a dress yet!? The stars aligned when I found out that the designer of the dress I fell in love with only had ONE dress left in my size in the ENTIRE country. It was meant to be! From that moment on, Joe and I knew that we wanted to bring some of Austin's fun and quirky style to Chicago. We included a craft beer station at our reception, served a signature Mexican Martini cocktail to our guests, and made a custom recipe book of our favorite meals as a favor. With the help of the modern style of the Greenhouse Loft, we felt like we had transplanted our home in Austin, Texas to Chicago for our special day.

Just to add a cherry on top: my husband and I Texas Two-Stepped for our first dance, and I wore my cowboy boots to do it JUST right. We embraced the soft, romantic winter weather and decorated with ivories, blush tones, golds, burlap and natural wood. We dimmed the venue lighting and lit the space with candles for a warm, inviting ambiance. It was the perfect day and I wouldn't have done it any differently!
