Roberta Wedding from Kaitie Bryant Photography
How's this for an attention grabber? A breathtakingly gorgeous country chic affair with dashes of glamour every which way you turn. Intrigued? Yep, we thought you would be, which is exactly the reason why we couldn't wait to share this gem of an affair from Kaitie Bryant Photography. An affair, mind you, that mixes perfectly Southern touches (think burlap and distressed wooden details) with a vibrant, modern aesthetic (think chevron table runners) all planned to perfection by Molly McKinley with Chancey Charm. Oh, and those beautiful blooms from The Flower Post? To die for. Click here for sooo much more and stay tuned for a sweet film from Hampton Road Studios below.
From the Bride... When we first started planning, I immediately envisioned an elegant outdoor wedding with a twist of country chic. I wanted to bring elegant and glam to the country! My family’s property was the perfect place, since it carries so many memories from my childhood. Our vendors built our venue from the ground up, creating something really unique! We chose to use mostly shades of coral and peach with a touch of aqua blue and gold at the reception. Our wedding planner, Molly McKinley, helped us create the perfect day. For our ceremony, we walked through "church" doors into a pecan orchard. Chandeliers hung from the trees, and I felt like I was walking into the gates of heaven as I was walking down the aisle. The light was absolutely beautiful reflecting through the chandeliers. At our reception, we had couches with personalized pillows, pallet coffee tables, a beautiful tent with the most amazing iron chandeliers and elaborate draping, a vintage wooden dance floor, amazing florals, a cigar bar for the boys, and too many personal touches to count! Our head table had a long distressed wooden box with ombre roses from white to deep coral, while other tables held beautiful candelabras and smaller wooden boxes filled with hydrangeas and roses. We had custom grey burlap monogrammed runners made, along with a few coral chevron runners for a pop of color. They perfectly matched our pillows! I loved that our favorite candies sat on side tables next to the couches and on the rustic wooden bar top for guests to enjoy. The guests took home personalized letter pressed coasters and signed large wooden initials "B&G" instead of a guestbook.
My advice to brides is not to stress. During the planning process, I would stress myself out over little things, but it turned out perfect on my big day! I definitely recommend a wedding planner. If I did not have one, there would be no way I would have enjoyed my big day. Also, take time to enjoy being engaged, wedding planning, and the big day. It goes by so fast, and you'll want to do it again. I definitely wish I could do it all over again! It was one of the most fun weekends of my life. When you start to stress, just say to yourself, this will all be over soon so I need to sit back and enjoy it!
