Shades of coral, saffron, turquoise, and fuchsia came together in perfect harmony, radiant, festive, and full of heart. “We wanted our pre-wedding events to feel alive and playful,” Kiran shared. “Color, to us, is emotion; it reflects the joy we feel when we’re surrounded by the people we love.” The Sangeet transitioned into a more dramatic palette of deep sapphire, gold, and crimson, echoing the richness of royal India while setting the tone for an evening of music and celebration. The wedding day softened the energy to a serene mix of blush, ivory, and sage, creating a sense of calm and reverence that matched the spiritual beauty of the gurdwara ceremony. The grand finale at Clondaire Vineyards was a masterclass in understated luxury. The couple chose a timeless neutral palette-ivory, champagne, andgold- to complement the natural tones of the vineyard. As evening fell, the lighting transformed the space into a dreamscape of shifting hues, with crystal chandeliers casting blue, lavender, and amber tones across the tables. “We loved how the light evolved through the night,” they shared. “It felt like the colors were dancing with us, marking every moment of joy.”

For the Sangeet, the couple embraced bold, regal tones that transformed the Marriott ballroom into a royal-inspired celebration. The weekend culminated at Clondaire Vineyards in Angels Camp, chosen for its breathtaking landscapes and meaningful connection to the couple’s travels. “After visiting Valle de Guadalupe, the Napa Valley ofMexico, we fell in love with the beauty of the vineyards and the relaxed atmosphere,” they shared. “Choosing Clondaire felt like a way to bring that essence closer to home.” The rolling hills, wandering peacocks, and lush vines created a serene backdrop that felt both romantic and deeply personal. Sharing local wines with their guests added an extra touch of warmth and connection, tying together the memories of their travels with the joy of their wedding day.

After seven years of dating from college to graduate school, one afternoon, Esteban suggested we visit a coffee shop near the Golden Gate Bridge and grab dinner afterward. He told me to dress nicely so we could make the most of the day and get dinner afterwards, so I didn’t think much of it. When we arrived at Crissy Field, he led me across the grass, supposedly looking for the café. As we walked, I looked out at the bridge and joked that it would make the perfect place for a proposal. To my complete surprise, a photographer suddenly appeared,d and before I knew it, Esteban was down on one knee, asking me to marry him. It was such a magical, spontaneous moment thafilledly us, filled with laughter, love, and a touch of serendipity.

For her pre-wedding celebrations, she embraced a palette of rich jewel tones and intricate embroidery. From the aqua and coral banarasi lehenga worn at the Mehndi to the soft blush and marigold hues of the Haldi colors symbolic of fertility and joy, each look was thoughtfully chosen to honor both culture and emotion. Her Sangeet look, a striking black and gold embroidered lehenga paired with statement jewelry, set the tone for a glamorous evening filled with music and dance. When it came to the wedding day, Kiran chose timeless tradition over trend. “Initially, I thought I wanted to wear a pastel bridal outfit,” she shared, “but then I realized I wanted to keep everything more traditional.” Her final choice-a classic red lehenga hand-embroidered with intricate gold detailing- paid homage to love and prosperity, two values deeply rooted in her culture. For the reception, Kiran reimagined bridal elegance in a luminous white lehenga that merged the grace of a Western gown with the fine craftsmanship of Indian couture. “I wanted something modern yet meaningful,” she explained. The finishing touch became one of her most memorable style moments: torn between a pearl choker and a traditional Indian necklace, she brought both. “During our portrait session, our photographer Natasha Gillett suggested stacking them together,” Kiran recalled. “It turned out to be a showstopper. I received compliments all night!” The layered necklaces perfectly embodied her entire bridal vision: a seamless blend of modern refinement and timeless tradition.

For the Mehndi, the décor came alive with a symphony of fuchsia, coral, and saffron blooms paired with patterned cushions, woven throws, and an ornate crimson settee beneath soft afternoon light. A regal peacock installation added an elegant touch, nodding to the couple’s shared love of symbolism and design. The following day, the same space was beautifully reimagined for the Haldi. Vibrant yellow florals and golden-hued pillows transformed the setting, offering a fresh perspective while maintaining continuity in style. The addition of a whimsical “little Indian market” brought texture and personality, complete with handcrafted jewelry, tassels, and colorful trinkets displayed on a vintage cart. Playful details, like a mini rickshaw decorated in pom-poms and embroidery, made it a favorite among the younger guests, capturing the heart of the family celebration. For the Sangeet, the Marriott ballroom was transformed into a royal-inspired setting. Deep sapphire and crimson velvet drapery framed the stage, while mirrored accents, lanterns, and intricate patterns reflected the vibrant rhythm of the night. The hand-painted floral dance floor echoed the embroidery of Kiran’s lehenga, merging fashion and design in a seamless display of artistry. The wedding ceremony at the gurdwara embraced tranquility and tradition. Soft pastel florals in blush, ivory, and sage adorned the space with understated elegance, creating a serene backdrop for sacred vows. Every detail was intentional, allowing the beauty of the rituals to shine through. The reception at Clondaire Vineyards was a breathtaking finale-a study in light, reflection, and modern romance. Tables draped in ivory linens stretched beneath the open sky, surrounded by endless white roses and hydrangeas. Crystal chandeliers floated above, shimmering like constellations. As night fell, the lighting transformed the space into a fairytale dreamscape, with the chandeliers shifting hues from soft gold to cool blue and romantic violet. The mirrored DJ installation, framed by sculptural florals and dancing reflections, became a focal point of the celebration. “We wanted the design to feel fresh, elegant, and a little unexpected,” the couple shared. “As the night went on, the colors kept changing, and the whole vineyard seemed to glow. It truly felt like magic.”

As the couple shared, “The Milni during the Akhand Paath at the Sikh ceremony was such a fun and heartwarming experience for us. This traditional ritual, where the bride’s closest family members exchange garlands and blessings with the groom’s family, highlights the importance of love, unity, and togetherness.” The ceremony beautifully embodied the joining of two families, honoring heritage and connection in a way that felt both sacred and celebratory.

“Our favorite part of our wedding was being surrounded by our closest family and friends, enjoying each other’s company during the wedding week. It was especially meaningful to celebrate the beautiful blend of our two cultures coming together. Throughout the week, we were touched by how everyone immersed themselves in Indian culture, eagerly embracing the traditions and vibrant customs that hold such significance for Kiran’s family. Many of our friends expressed their excitement about the wedding, taking the time to explore Artesia’s “Little India” and local boutiques to find the perfect outfits and accessories for each event, and reading about the various traditions online. From the traditional rituals to the delicious dishes that reflected our backgrounds, every detail felt like a beautiful blend of our lives coming together, ” the couple shares.

Austin and Steph made a point to go to Newport each year as a couple’s getaway and thought that it could be a great place to get married and one day bring their kids to a place meaningful to them. They were drawn to Regatta Place for its seamless blend of indoor and outdoor spaces. They loved how the venue reflected their style as a couple: fun and playful, yet effortlessly sophisticated. They knew it would be the perfect canvas for the vibrant, joy-filled summer celebration they had always envisioned. Steph and Austin dreamed of a wedding that was thoughtfully “them”, full of personal touches, gorgeous and lush garden-inspired florals and greenery, with little touches of Newport sprinkled into the design.

Austin knew he wanted Charlestown to be part of the proposal because it was where Steph had lived when they first met and where they often walked their dog, Oakley, along the Navy Yard. The Charlestown waterfront held special meaning for them, and it offered a quiet, intimate setting away from the crowds. Austin planned a “brunch” with Steph’s sister and her boyfriend, and had a photographer secretly waiting at Pier 6. As he got down on one knee, Steph said yes immediately before he could even begin speaking. A stranger at the restaurant exclaimed, “It’s about damn time,” leading to laughter from everyone involved. Following the intimate proposal, Austin surprised Steph with both of their families, who were waiting at Tradesman, the spot of their first date, for a private celebration. The surprises continued with an engagement party that evening at Puritan & Co., followed by another family gathering the next day. It was a weekend filled with so much love and unforgettable memories.

During cocktail hour, guests were greeted with trays of passed wine and could exploregarden-inspiredd champagne walls while enjoying an array of delectable bites. Guests dined on classic Caesar salad, delicious Herb Crusted Filet Mignon, Pan Seared Native Halibut, and Vegan Ravioli for dinner. Veuve Clicquot champagne was at each place setting for the toasts to give a special nod to Steph’s family from France who were present at the wedding. Signature cocktails of Austin’s Ale (Newport Craft Brewing Rhode Trip IPA), Steph’s Spritz (Elderflower Liqueur, Prosecco, Mint, Lime), and Oakley’s Old Fashioned, named after their beloved Boxer ,were enjoyed by all! For dessert, guests could select from an assortment of mouthwatering mini sweet treats!

Steph and Austin’s floral designer, The Dirt Empress, flawlessly designed a floral vision that was rooted in elegance, romance, and the natural beauty of a garden in full bloom—designed tocomplementt the sweeping bay views of Regatta Place. The goal was to create an atmosphere overflowing with lush greenery and soft summer pastels, evoking the charm of an idyllic garden party by the sea. To bring this vision to life, a rich variety of blooms were thoughtfully curated to add depth, texture, and movement. The floral palette featured snapdragons, larkspur, delphinium, garden roses, locally grown dahlias, zinnias, and lisianthus—all working in harmony to achieve that effortless garden feel. Guests were greeted with florals at every turn, starting with a breathtaking pergola entrance draped in blooms, followed by floral accents along the dock, and a ceremony space designed to enhance the bay views. Inside the tent, greenery cascaded from beams and chandeliers, creating the illusion of strolling beneath a pergola of vines. Tables were adorned with a mix of lush compote arrangements and delicate bud vases, paired with soft sage green taper candles for a refined, organic touch. Sage green wove its way seamlessly throughout the celebration—from the bridesmaid dresses to the napkins, goblets, and candlelight—tying together the entire design in a thoughtful and cohesive manner. Linens, goblets, and chargers were thoughtfully selected from Peak Event Services. Light champagne colored linens, paired with sage colored goblets and napkins with elegant white chargers, paired perfectly under the cream colored tent at Regatta Place. Custom invitations by Serif & Sans set the tone for guests for a fun,floral-filledd, yet elegant coastal Newport wedding. The floral design and colors from the invitations were carried throughout the wedding day papergoodsd items with custom menus, place cards, signaturcocktaills signs, and a special corn hole board set for guests to enjoy on the dock during cocktail hour and the reception. Acustom-madee welcome sign and seating chart by Petal & Ink greeted guests as they arrived in the courtyard and was a beautiful addition to the overall design!

Wedding Colors/Design/Vision: The couple wed in June 2025 on the Eastern Shore of Maryland at The Oaks Waterfront, a classically stunning venue just off the Chesapeake Bay in the charming coastal town of Saint Michaels, Maryland — Laina’s home state. The couple wanted every part of their weekend to feel as naturally beautiful, effortless, fun, and dreamy as the setting and their love. The bride and groom were inspired to design a timeless wedding with touches of the simple beauty of both coast and lush garden. For the color palette, the couple built off of hues from the quaint surroundings of The Eastern Shore — shades of fresh greens, shades of uplifting blues, sandy neutrals, and warm ivories that perfectly encapsulated that wonderful feeling that is mid-June: late spring warmth and blooms to the joyful light of early summer.

Laina Pisano, Senior Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble, and Robert “Bobby” Storrow, Senior Merchant at Todd Snyder, met in 2018 while working at J.Crew’s Corporate Office in New York City. At the time, Robert, who hails from Tennessee and Kentucky, was the men’s suits buyer—dressing the part each day in a perfectly tailored suit with an ever-so-slight Southern drawl. Laina noticed. After months of passing his desk “by chance,” casual emails turned into texts, and one day, Robert asked her out—in the hallway at work. Their first date was at a dimly lit Manhattan cocktail bar, just down the block from where they now live in Gramercy. Tucked in a corner table, they traded stories and laughter—both walking away with a quiet, comforting sense that something real was beginning. After six years of building a life filled with love, laughter, and shared friends and family, Robert proposed during golden hour on the beach in Naples, Florida, with a ring he designed with Henri Noel Jewelers: a round-cut diamond set in a slim gold band. The proposal and ring were both heartfelt and simply elegant — very Laina and Robert.

The bride wore a timeless Vera Wang gown from Wang’s Haute Couture collection that featured beautiful silk faille in a strapless, refined a-line silhouette (unique to the brand) with two light layers of delicate organza in a warm vintage-inspired white, finished with an elegant silk sash and cascading veil. As classic and elegant as it gets — and one of the last dresses Laina tried on after a weekend of trying on nearly 50 dresses. She knew immediately it was unlike any other. The bride paired the gown with vintage Chanel heels and a pear-shaped diamond necklace. For the after-party, the bride slipped into an embellished and beaded Danarys New York mini dress that was adorned with a glittery tulle train. She finished the look with bezel-dangle earrings and satin Jimmy Choo platforms.

The bridesmaids — including Laina’s sisters, best friends, and cousin — wore custom silk faille Amsale gowns in a beautiful, soft pale blue. The a-line silhouettes boasted delicate spaghetti straps and simple sashes and were paired with spring-forward bouquets.

The groom, senior buyer and merchandiser at menswear label Todd Snyder, knew his crew could only be outfitted by the best — suited that he himself had a hand in making. The groom, groomsmen, father of the bride, and father of the groom all wore custom-made-to-measure black tuxes by Todd Snyder. For the reception, the groom hit the dance floor in a Brunello Cucinelli white dinner jacket.

The couple took inspiration from combined roots, a mixture of southern and coastal, for the culinary theme of the weekend. For cocktail hour, Hors d’oeuvres were passed silhouetted by the waterfront and included country ham on pimiento cheese biscuits, fried green tomatoes with crab, miniature shrimp and grits spoons, bacon-wrapped scallops, and petite lobster rolls. The highlight was a full open raw bar staged in a vintage rowing boat. The reception dinner was a classic duet of surf and turf, a Filet partnered with a Maryland Jumbo Lump Crab Cake. The signature drinks were summer adaptations of the couple’s favorite cocktails — Laina’s Lemon Spritz (vodka, prosecco, lemon) and Robert’s Gold Rush (bourbon, lemon, honey)

From the exquisite letterpress invitations featuring custom watercolors that emulated day-of florals to napkins featuring the couple’s favorite song lyrics, every detail of Laina and Robert’s wedding weaved a common thread back to their relationship, upbringings and personal brand. Blue toile tablecloths and cocktail napkins adorned with a personalized crest added classic touches, while crab matchbooks and ‘Eastern Shore’ baseball caps served as coastal memorabilia of the weekend. Drink stirrers in Mint Julep cups nodded to the groom’s Southern roots. Florals done by a local farm featured a beautiful array of white and cream blooms — peonies, garden roses, hydrangeas, ranunculus, and lily of the valley with touches of blue delphinium.

Instead of a traditional wedding cake, the couple had traditional Italian cookie tables that included dozens of different cookie types as well as a variety of bite-sized desserts perfect for bringing to the dance floor, along with take-home boxes for each guest.

The bride walked down the aisle to Moon River – one of her and Robert’s favorites — which, upon telling her dad this was the song they had chosen, told her it was the song he sang her to sleep with when she was a baby. The groom walked down the aisle to My Old Kentucky Home, a nod to the rolling hills of his beautiful home state. The bride and her father danced their first dance to The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra, which he also danced to at his wedding with his mom at his own wedding. The couple had two readings during the wedding ceremony. The first was a poem called “I Carry Your Heart” by E.E. Cummings, read by the Groom’s uncle. The poem was chosen for its message surrounding and all-encompassing love that makes two people feel inseparable. The second reading, another poem, called “On Marriage,” was chosen because of its charge to live a healthy, balanced union, while also celebrating individual freedom and growth. The second reading also used analogies of the sea and an oak tree, tying back to the couple’s love of the coast and the venue – symbolically called The Oaks.

The couple was married by the bride’s Uncle Charlie (aka Reverend Carrick), who married the bride’s parents on August 22, 1993. Furthermore, the bride’s parents’ flower girl was her cousin and bridesmaid Anna — so naturally, Laina and Robert had to have Anna’s daughter, Mila, as their flower girl.

David Austin climbing roses framed the courtyard doorway leading into the restaurant, blending the ceremony and reception design with the landscape. Morgan’s bridesmaids chose their own dresses that complemented the wedding day design.

We chose to get married in New York, where we met, and many of our guests traveled from Texas, Alabama, and Mississippi to celebrate with us, including my87-year-oldd grandma (Mimi)! Our favorite part of the night was getting everyone out on the dance floor, including Mimi! Our final song played by the band was “Sweet Home Alabama” because we split our time living between Birmingham and New York. I must mention the amazing food that the Blue Hill team prepared for us. It was a highlight of the wedding and a major reason we chose the venue. I still dream about the poached halibut, and months later,r people are still telling us how incredible the food was – from the cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres like the mushroom donut and oysters with rhubarb granita to the grass-fed beef at dinner cooked two ways and served with the freshest vegetables from the property. It wasn’t just the best wedding food we’ve had but truly one of the best meals we’ve ever enjoyed. We can’t wait to go back for anniversaries and future celebrations!

Wilson planned the most special surprise proposal on the roof of his West Village apartment, the day we moved into our new apartment and first home together! He thoughtfully coordinated every detail,l including a photographer to capture the moment, who led us on a short shoot around the neighborhood, and when we got back to the apartment, we were greeted by our families who had flown in and my closest friends. We all made our way to dinner at Pastis, one of our favorite spots, followed by drinks at a nearby bar that he’d rented out to celebrate with more of our NYC crew. It was the perfect day,y and I felt so lucky and loved!!

The culinary experience was one of the highlights of the day, a four-course menu created by Blue Hill’s Michelin-starred team, celebrating spring. Menu: First Course: First of the asparagus, smoked cheese, strawberry sofrito, paired with Clos Ste. Magdeleine “Méditerranée Blanc,” Provence, 2023 Second Course: Halibut with spring vegetables, paired with Château de Pierreclos “Au Grand Bussière,” Saint-Véran, Burgundy, 2022 Third Course: Grass-fed beef with Eight Row flint corn polenta and mushrooms, paired with Château Brane-Cantenac “Margaux de Brane,” Bordeaux, 2020 Dessert: Blue Hill wedding cake with chocolate chiffon, strawberry, and Stone Barns honey During cocktail hour, guests experienced a bakery tasting with house-milled sourdough, focaccia, pickled vegetables, cured meats, soft-ripened cheeses, and seasonal berries. Passed hors d’oeuvres included oysters with rhubarb granita, spring pea and caviar bites, and Blue Hill’s signature mushroom donuts. Building off Zeke’s impeccable floral design, the linens brought a romantic vibe into the reception space. To have the privilege of working at Blue Hill, one of my all-time favorite properties, is always a great starting point. The natural setting, with its lush gardens and dark stone walls, created the perfect backdrop for soft cream and blush pink florals. So much of my work is about shaping an environment, creating a feeling that unfolds as you move through it, and this day captured that beautifully. The climbing rose bushes we planted in those antique urns at the ceremony looked as if they’d been growing there for years, as though the space had simply been waiting for this moment. Honestly, the best part of the day was seeing Morgan so happy. That kind of joy is contagious. Dinner unfolded beneath the draped tent in the soft glow of candlelight, where a duo-plated entrée celebrated both coastal freshness and Southern warmth: herb-roasted mahi mahi paired with braised beef short ribs, accented by char-grilled vegetables and glazed peaches. Each plate was thoughtfully composed—equal parts artful and comforting—and complemented by a curated wine service that encouraged leisurely, convivial dining. As the evening transitioned into the after-party, the atmosphere shifted to a lively late-night “pub,” where honey butter chicken biscuits and parmesan rosemary fries offered a touch of indulgent nostalgia to end the night on a perfectly satisfying note.

The ceremony design centered around an altar blooming with layered greenery and delicate spring blossoms beneath soaring windows. Inside the tented reception, soft neutral draping and natural wood tones framed tables dressed in clean linens, minimalist bud vases, and slender candlelight. The overall atmosphere was effortless yet intentional—an elegant interplay between modern form, organic texture, and timeless romance.

Designed by Amorology for The Hybrid Co., this shoot highlighted the growing color trend. Many couples are choosing to incorporate new colors into their wedding palettes – how about yellow, terra cotta or lime green for something new? There are a variety of ways that couples can incorporate color into their weddings beyond just colorful florals or an invitation suite. Ceremony and reception backdrops like those created by Backup Backdrops can add a burst of color and provide the perfect spot for colorful portraits.  Amorology sourced colorful velvet poufs from Adore Folklore to adorn the ceremony while the rest of the space was transformed into an indoor garden with blooms by Siren Floral Co. Specialty cocktails, bright jewelry and unique escort cards are additional ways to liven up your color palette with a blast of color. 

From Amorology… When we first starting dreaming up all the things for this fun shoot, we couldn’t help but think of “Color Makes a Comeback.” Soft hues of melon pops of tangerine and touches of blush and gold made for the dreamiest color palette! A mix of boomerangs and gloves made for a unique combo as we wanted to bring back (as a nod to boomerangs) gloves in a fancy way by interpreting them with florals for a modern take!

I’ve always loved the classic elegance of blue and white, so starting with royal and light blue felt natural. The chinoiserie vases and ginger jars from my mother’s home inspired the palette — they remind me of timeless beauty and meaningful details. Growing up in the South, I’ve always admired how color and tradition come togetherjoyfullyy, so we wove in cheerful spring hues through the florals to make everything feel fresh and full of life. It was important to us that the colors reflected both our Southern roots and a sense of timeless joy.

From the very beginning, we knew we wanted a springtime wedding in the South. Both Drew and I were born and raised in Arkansas, so honoring our Southern roots in every detail felt natural and important. I’ve always been enchanted by those classic Southern weddings — the ones held at a family home, tucked into a front or back yard, where every corner feels personal, warm, and full of heart. We loved the idea of our guests gathering outdoors, surrounded by nature, and we wanted the day to feel full of the meaningful, personalized touches that make Southern weddings so special. There’s something about a Southern spring that always feels so fresh and full of life — the soft, playful breezes, flowers popping up everywhere, and golden sunlight that just makes everything sparkle. Drew and I wanted our wedding to capture that same feeling: timeless and elegant, but with a little bit of whimsy that made it feel personal and joyful. We wanted it to be unmistakably “us” — a day that felt warm, intimate, and full of life, just like the season we love so much.

Drew popped the question on April 26th, 2024, at Chapel on the Creeks in Rogers, Arkansas, right under the charming gazebo by the pond. The weekend started with one of my best friends coming into town, and we had plans to grab drinks and catch up. Originally, we were headed to Theos for happy hour, but she suggested stopping by Ozark Natural Brewery first since our table wasn’t ready yet—and honestly, that little detour set the whole surprise in motion. I’m notoriously hard to surprise, so I had a hunch something was up as we walked the path by the pond. And sure enough, there was Drew, standing under the gazebo, looking nervous but excited. The afternoon had been rainy, but magically, the skies cleared just in time. The gazebo was decorated beautifully with fresh florals, framed photos, a cozy blanket, and a customized champagne bottle with our initials—it was intimate and personal in the sweetest way. After the most heartfelt words, Drew got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course, I said yes! And then I heard cheers in the distance—our families had been secretly watching nearby, ready to celebrate the moment with us. The surprises didn’t stop there. Drew had also planned an engagement party at The Springdale Country Club for all our closest family and friends. That night was full of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories—a joyful start to the next chapter of our lives together.

“Marcelina” gown, lined with delicate hand-stitched lace in a floral motif. It featured a soft sweetheart

traditional and timeless, favoring a clean, classic style with minimal jewelry, a sleek bun, and just the
right hint of drama. I wanted my dress to speak for itself, and the intricate lace detailing added the
perfect bit of personality while keeping the overall look effortlessly elegant and timeless.[/field]

For the bridesmaids’ dresses, I wanted to highlight the lighter blue from our main color palette. I selected six different styles from Stacees and let each of my girls choose the one in which they felt most comfortable and confident. The options were simple and elegant, perfectly complementing the timeless and sophisticated vibe of our wedding.

Drew and I wanted our food and drinks to reflect who we are—things we love that truly scream “Liz & Drew.” While we initially considered a classic dinner, once we explored our options, it only made sense to go with Mexican cuisine for our wedding. Our caterer, Elite Catering in Fayetteville, Arkansas, did an incredible job bringing our vision to life. For cocktail hour, we passed around mini chips and salsa for our guests to enjoy before dinner. Mexican food is so versatile, and we loved giving guests options so they could customize their meals. We served chicken fajitas and beef tacos with cilantro lime rice, black pinto beans, and of course, plenty of queso and salsa, along with a variety of toppings. Everyone raved about the food, and it was such a fun, flavorful reflection of us. Our bartending team was provided by Fig and Foundry out of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and they were phenomenal. They helped us create the perfect signature drinks, dialing in the ideal sweetness and texture for each one. While we had an open bar for our guests, we also wanted drinks that reflected Drew, me, and even our yellow Labrador, Heidi. As a margarita lover, it was only natural for my signature drink to be a classic margarita—with the option to make it spicy with jalapeño and a Tajín rim. Drew’s favorite, of course, was an Old Fashioned. And for an extra personalized touch, we added a third drink called “The Heidi,” a Strawberry Lychee Mojito that the team had created. Light, flavorful, and perfect for a spring wedding in May, it was a fun way to make our celebration truly ours.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]When it came to choosing our wedding florals, we wanted everything to reflect our overall
vision — a Southern garden party filled with charm and color. Since our main palette featured
shades of blue, we decided to bring in pops of color through the flowers. We chose cabbage roses (a
Southern classic), along with hydrangeas, peonies, delphiniums, and a mix of other seasonal
blooms. One flower I knew we had to include was the bicolor Bavarian hydrangea. I had seen our
florist use it once before and instantly fell in love — the soft blue petals with hints of white tied our
chinoiserie-inspired colors together perfectly.
Our ceremony and cocktail hour took place in the venue’s courtyard, which was the perfect
setting for our garden-inspired vision. For the ceremony, our florist created a lush hydrangea arch as
the focal point at the end of the aisle. I loved the idea of a whimsical, overgrown garden, so we kept
our outdoor florals natural and romantic, using shades of blue, green, and white. To continue that
lush, garden feel, we placed arrangements in chinoiserie planters and stone urns at the back of the
aisle. During cocktail hour, we added a floral bar moment, which brought such a fun, colorful touch to
the outdoor space.
Inside the reception space, we brought even more color in through the table arrangements,
which completely transformed the room. Each table was overflowing with lush, garden-inspired
blooms in shades of pink, peach, coral, sunny yellow, fresh green, and hints of blue, creating the
dreamiest mix of cheerful, romantic tones. Some tables featured arrangements in chinoiserie vases
and ginger jars, while others showcased floral compotes, adding variety and depth to the overall
design. The mix of vessels created such a beautiful, collected look — it felt elegant yet effortless, like
each piece had its own story. For the head table, we designed a long centerpiece filled with lush
greenery, white hydrangeas, and delicate blue delphiniums. The inspiration came from a Pinterest
photo I had found of a garden table lined with delphiniums — I immediately fell in love and knew I
wanted to recreate that look. It became such a beautiful focal point for the room and truly brought
our garden party vision to life. On the cake table, we added a whimsical and colorful cake meadow,
which helped elevate our simple three-tiered wedding cake and made it a stunning focal point in the
space.
For our personalized flowers — including my bouquet, the boutonnieres, and the mothers’
nosegays — I wanted to carry through the same playful pops of color we incorporated into the
reception space. My bouquet was truly jaw-dropping, overflowing with cabbage roses, peonies, and
delicate touches of blue from Dutch hydrangeas and delphiniums. It perfectly captured the romantic,
garden-inspired vibe of our day. The mothers’ nosegays were lush peony posies, offering just the
right splash of pink to complement the overall color palette, while the boutonnieres tied in the softer
shades and greenery. Each piece felt personal, intentional, and thoughtful.
The flowers tied everything together perfectly, bringing warmth and vibrancy to the room
while still feeling timeless and refined. It truly felt like the garden had come indoors — the perfect
continuation of our Southern garden party celebration. We couldn’t have picked a better florist for our
wedding day. The Flowerslinger took our inspiration and requests and created pieces of art that
exceeded all our expectations. We truly couldn’t imagine our wedding day without them and their
incredible team.
Stephanie with Stephanie Benton Events was an absolute dream to work with — she and
her team truly helped us bring everything together for our wedding day, and we couldn’t have done it
without them. When it came to our wedding decor, so much of the inspiration came from my mom’s
collection of chinoiserie vases and ginger jars, which became the foundation for our entire design. I
created a plan that incorporated various vases and jars on each guest table — all featuring different
patterns, shapes, and shades of blue — perfectly capturing our vision of a Southern garden party
with a timeless, elegant twist.
For the table linens, I wanted to play with patterns and textures to add depth and interest to
the space. We used three different styles of tablecloths from Nuage Designs and BBJ La Tavola:
one featuring a playful blue-and-white pattern, another in crisp white with a whimsical textured
design, and a classic solid navy. To tie everything together, we paired the white and navy tables with
scalloped blue and white patterned napkins, and the patterned tables with solid navy napkins. The
mix felt cohesive yet playful.
To bring in a natural, garden-inspired element, we used light wooden chairs that added
warmth and texture to the room. Rattan trays and baskets held personalized koozies and dance floor
accessories, tying in perfectly with our Southern theme. We added touches of gold and white
through the plates, chargers, and silverware, giving the tables a subtle, elegant shimmer. One of my
favorite details was our vinyl dance floor, featuring the cabbage rose design from our invitation liner.
Seeing that pattern come to life was so special — it tied the entire design together beautifully and
became a stunning focal point of the reception space.
Another fun decor element we incorporated was our citron green outdoor bar. While scrolling
through Pinterest one day, I came across a photo of a green bar and instantly knew we had to
include something similar in our day. I loved how the bright green would pop against our royal blue
and white color palette, and it turned out even better than I imagined. The bar became such a big hit
with our guests and added a playful, unexpected touch that really made our wedding day feel fun
and memorable.
Shindig Paperie in Fayetteville, Arkansas, helped us bring all of our personalized touches to
life for our wedding day. From our invitations to our cocktail napkins, they did an amazing job helping
us incorporate meaningful and personal details. These touches truly brought everything together. We
created a traditional monogram for our wedding — a classic element in many Southern weddings —
and used it on cups, cocktail napkins, matchboxes, koozies, and more, adding a special, custom
element throughout the day. We also had a sweet portrait painted of our yellow lab, Heidi, before the
wedding, which we featured on one of our cocktail napkins so she could be included in our
celebration. Her silhouette even appeared on one of our koozie designs — it wouldn’t have been our
wedding day without her! Shindig also helped us design the perfect signage, including our seating
chart, name cards, bar menus, and personalized thank-you notes laid atop each guest’s napkin.[/field]

Our wedding cake was created by Shelby Lynn’s Bakery in Springdale, Arkansas. We chose a 3-tiered white cake filled with brown butter pineapple filling and finished with a smooth vanilla buttercream icing. The design was inspired by my wedding dress — the top and bottom tiers were covered in beautifully piped southern cabbage roses, while the middle tier remained a classic white, showcasing our wedding monogram in elegant piping. Overall, we wanted a cake that felt simple, timeless, and elegant, and Shelby Lynn’s brought that vision to life perfectly.

For our ceremony music, we wanted a fun and lighthearted vibe. We chose two instrumental songs by Sleeping at Last for the processional, “Sun” and “I’ll keep you safe” — I loved their angelic, whimsical feel as our family and wedding party walked down the aisle. Our faith is central to our lives, and the songs we selected reflected that. I walked down the aisle with my dad to “Gratitude” by Brandon Lake, a song that instantly gave me chills and brought me to tears the first time I heard it. It felt incredibly powerful and was the perfect entrance song. During the ceremony, Drew and I took communion, accompanied by “Falling in Love” by Phil Wickham, a sweet song that beautifully tied into the sacrament and the covenant of our marriage. For our exit, we chose “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” by Queen, adding a playful, celebratory touch as we walked back down the aisle as newlyweds. Our reception music was an energetic mix of genres, thanks to our incredible DJ, Mega DJ, who kept the dance floor alive all night. For the first half of the evening, we played classic and traditional jazz — think Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé, Etta James, and Nat King Cole — creating a timeless and sophisticated atmosphere while entertaining our guests. Drew and I shared our first dance to “If I Ain’t Got You” covered by Jordan Feliz. For the mother-son dance, Drew and his mom danced to “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts, and I shared a dance with my dad to “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack. When it came time for the main dance party, we went all-in on early 2000s hits, songs that brought waves of nostalgia for our friends. Thanks to Mega DJ’s amazing energy and expertise, everyone knew the lyrics, the dance floor was packed, and the night was nothing short of magical. It was such a joyful, unforgettable celebration, and we wish we could relive it over and over again.

lace on the top layer of my gown, adorned with cabbage roses, immediately sparked ideas for how
to carry that motif into other elements. We first incorporated it into the envelope liner of our
invitations, and then wove it into our wedding cake, dance floor, florals, and signage. Drew had no
idea, and it was so much fun to surprise him with these little, meaningful details throughout the day.[/field]

Drew and I both had our wedding bands engraved, and by a funny coincidence, we each chose the same phrase for the other: “To infinity and beyond.” Drew’s favorite Disney character growing up was Buzz Lightyear, and during our relationship, we would often joke, “I love you to infinity and beyond.” It’s super cheesy, but the saying stuck with us — and now it has a forever meaning. Because my wedding band was so thin, Drew had the jeweler use a combination of symbols and tiny letters: the number 2, the infinity sign, an ampersand, and the word “beyond” written delicately in miniature script. It perfectly captured how we felt about one another, and the fact that we both independently picked the same phrase made it even more special and meaningful. Blakeman’s Fine Jewelry in Rogers, Arkansas, did a fantastic job on our rings, making them truly unforgettable.

borrowed, something blue,” my mom gave me a delicate blue handkerchief that had been passed
down from my great-grandmother — a sweet nod to family and tradition. For something new, she
gifted me a beautiful gold Susan Shaw bracelet with a charm in the shape of my new last name
initial, “T”, adding a personal and meaningful touch to my wedding day look.[/field]

Together, we designed my gown: a strapless dress with a structured corset bodice and dramatic train, crafted from intricate, romantic Italian lace, paired with a cathedral-length veil lined in matching lace. Every detail was more beautiful than I could have imagined, and the memories made with Livia and her team are ones I’ll cherish forever. A piece of the eternal city was forever sewn into our wedding day.[/field]

I walked down the aisle to “Patience” by The Lumineers — a subtle nod to our roots in Colorado. Ever since I first heard that song, I knew I needed to walk down the aisle to it. It feels like what love would sound like if it had a voice.

During dinner, I surprised Chris and our guests with a live performance inspired by The Phantom of the Opera. A brilliantly talented tenor, dressed as the Phantom, made a dramatic entrance and then serenaded us with “Music of the Night.” It was an especially meaningful moment for us — we both grew up loving Phantom, and a few years into our relationship, we flew to New York to see it on Broadway before it closed. To this day, that is still our favorite date.

Getting to enter this chapter of my life with them by my side meant everything to me. The music at our wedding was a highlight for everyone. As guests arrived, they were serenaded by an incredible group of elegantly dressed string players. By the end of the night, every single guest had made their way onto the stage to dance with them.

We chose a pastel-forward palette for fall, anchored in lilac and chartreuse — two colors that felt joyful, bold, and expressive of our personalities. To soften and round out the palette, we layered in tones of soft peach, creating a three-color harmony that felt fresh, romantic, and unexpected for the season. These colors became the heartbeat of the design, shaping everything from florals to signage to textiles.

Our design vision was to create an immersive, emotional garden party with Italian soul — a wedding that felt whimsical, bold, romantic, and deeply personal. As both the bride and planner/designer behind Carissa Corsi Events, I approached the day as a layered sensory experience. Organic florals incorporated fruits and vegetables for depth and texture, while the tented reception featured sculptural drum shades, a custom dance floor mirroring our stationery’s botanical motif, and patterned linens that played with movement and dimension. Italian influences were woven throughout: our custom wine window, Cantina de Forloney, café-style bar seating, trifold menus with espresso martini place cards, and my grandmother’s Italian cookies at each setting. The goal was for guests to not just see the design, but to feel immersed in it.

We got engaged during a Christmas family photo shoot in our new home. While we were in the backyard taking photos, the videographer quietly entered through the front door and hid in a nearby room. Anthony slipped inside to meet her, light the fireplace, and grab the ring. When I came back into the house, the photographer positioned us chest-to-chest in front of the fireplace — then asked me to turn toward the hallway. The videographer stepped out from hiding, Anthony began his speech, and with a mix of nerves and excitement, he popped the question. It was intimate, emotional, and perfectly us.

Bride’s Fashion: I wore a Martina Liana gown that felt like the perfect balance of whimsy and structure — a romantic corset bodice with delicate balloon sleeves, soft feminine detailing, and a dramatic train that moved beautifully throughout the garden setting. I paired the gown with Gucci shoes, David Yurman jewelry, and Gucci perfume to keep my look elevated, modern, and intentionally styled. My look was meant to feel soft, editorial, and feminine while still embracing that romantic garden-party energy. For beauty, I chose natural glam — soft, radiant skin, neutral tones, and a classic half-up style that felt effortless and timeless. It balanced the romance of my dress while still feeling modern and fresh. Groom’s Fashion: Anthony wore a classic black-tie look with thoughtfully curated details to elevate the simplicity. He paired his tux with Gucci loafers, Gucci cologne, and a Movado watch. His look was timeless, clean, and intentionally understated to complement the overall palette and design direction of the day without overpowering it.

The bridesmaids wore mismatched pastel dresses that created a soft, luminous palette across yellow, orange, lilac, green, and pink. Each dress had its own texture, silhouette, and edge — nothing matched, but everything intentionally complemented. It created a layered, editorial contrast against the garden backdrop. To elevate their looks, each bridesmaid carried a monochromatic floral bouquet in a color different from her dress, creating a tonal twist. Pastel-on-pastel pairings (like lilac florals with peach dresses, or soft orange florals with greens) made the wedding party feel curated, dimensional, and fashion-forward.

Food and beverage played a huge role in creating an immersive, Italian-inspired guest experience. During cocktail hour, we served Aperol Spritzes from our custom wine window, Cantina de Forloney, while a full complimentary bar offered additional signature drinks. Six passed appetizers made their way around the garden alongside passed red and white wine, ensuring guests always had something to enjoy. Every guest who visited the wine window received a custom cocktail stirrer featuring an illustration of my own hand — a special touch my stationer drew for us — and custom napkins with our puppies sketched on them were passed with appetizers and stocked at the bar. Dinner began with a burrata salad, followed by an intermezzo pasta course, and a choice of three entrées, with wine continuously poured table-side throughout the evening. We displayed my grandmother’s homemade Italian cookies at every table as a heartfelt nod to our heritage, giving guests a sentimental (and delicious) treat. One of our favorite food moments came later in the evening: passed espresso martinis on the dance floor, tying back to our trifold menu design and the espresso-martini place cards. Guests absolutely loved this surprise — it became one of the most talked-about elements of the night. We also offered a mini dessert display, an espresso cart, and a small, untraditional, rectangle-shaped cutting cake to round out the experience.

Rather than traditional arrangements, we focused on movement, shape, and texture. Blooms were paired with fruits and vegetables — grapes, citrus, artichokes — to add dimension and a sense of seasonality. Each bridesmaid held a monochromatic bouquet in a pastel tone different from her dress, creating a soft but intentional contrast that photographed beautifully and tied into the broader design story.

The ceremony took place in the garden and was intentionally kept natural and romantic, with florals designed to blend into the environment and feel like an extension of the landscape. From there, guests flowed into cocktail hour on the lawn, where our custom wine window, Cantina de Forloney, created a focal point layered with florals and tonal details tying back to Italy and our first trip to Florence.

Inside the tent, we created a dimensional environment filled with depth and discovery. Our custom dance floor featured a botanical pattern inspired by our envelope liner, and we carried that pattern into the sculptural drum shades suspended overhead — connecting the design from floor to ceiling. The reception layout was intentionally varied, incorporating mixed linens, textures, and pops of lilac and chartreuse to keep the space visually dynamic.

The L-shaped bar with café-style seating made the tent feel welcoming and experiential, while the tables were layered with taper candles, fruit-forward florals, and patterned accents that tied the entire palette together. Every detail — from the trifold menus to the stir sticks to the table-level styling — was chosen to feel emotional, personal, and intentional, creating a cohesive wedding design that was bold, romantic, and full of personality.[/field]

Our cake was intentionally untraditional — a modern rectangular design that contrasted beautifully with the organic, romantic florals throughout the day. We kept the decoration minimal to let the shape and color stand out, allowing it to feel like a sculptural moment within the reception. Paired with our espresso bar, mini dessert display, and my grandmother’s homemade Italian cookies placed at every table, the cake became part of a larger, thoughtful dessert experience that tied the night together.

We incorporated so many meaningful music choices throughout the day. Our wedding party walked in to the instrumental version of “IFLY” by Bazzi — a nod to our untraditional first dance song later that night. I walked down the aisle to “Simply the Best” by Noah Reid, and right before I began my walk, I surprised Anthony by getting on the mic and quoting lyrics from “Dibs” by Kelsea Ballerini, a song I’ve always sung to him. His reaction was priceless, and it’s one of my favorite moments we captured on video. For the reception, our first dance was the full version of “IFLY” by Bazzi, which felt modern, emotional, and perfectly “us.” My dad and I also chose to do a fun, upbeat father-daughter dance that had everyone smiling. One of the most emotional parts of the night was when I called my mom, sister, aunt, and cousin onto the dance floor to honor my grandmother with “There You’ll Be” by Faith Hill — a moment full of love, connection, and family.

One of our favorite design elements was Cantina de Forloney, our custom wine window inspired by our first trip to Florence. It became the centerpiece of cocktail hour and offered guests a playful, interactive moment where they received Aperol spritzes and custom stirrers illustrated with my own hand drawing.

We also designed an L-shaped bar with stool seating, inspired by our love of Italian bars and the way people casually sit, sip, and socialize over apertifs. Adding bar stools was intentional — we wanted guests to feel like they could linger, connect, and settle in the same way they would at a café in Italy. This detail completely transformed the reception energy and made the bar feel like a destination within the space.

I was playing, and he was the referee – it was a very chance meeting,g and we thought we would never see each other again, but Naz found me and persisted. We dated long distance for about 2 years and always traveled together, so for our engagement,nt I didn’t think anything of it when he planned a trip to the Lake District of England in Windermere. We hiked to the top of a mountain, were completely alone, and he proposed! Being that we met in Italy, got engaged at the Lakes District in England, we felt it would be a full circle moment to get married at the Lakes District in Italy.

One of the most important and special aspects of the wedding was incorporating our favorite people in special ways. My brothers officiated, my uncle walked me down half of the aisle, our cousin MC’d, another cousin was the ring bearer, and my mother gave a speech. The ceremony itself was very nontraditional and more of a stand-up comedy show than a serious moment. I also loved my first dance with my Baba, because everyone knows our relationship is very goofy, so we took a traditionally sentimental moment and flipped it on its head by starting with a slow song and moving into an upbeat dance.

We wanted guests to feel like they were stepping into a dream — where music, architecture, and nature worked in perfect harmony. Every element, from the orchestra’s soaring notes to the flicker of candlelight at dinner, was meant to evoke a sense of reverence and wonder.

Sam proposed to Anita in Rioja, Spain, atop a breathtaking mountain called San Lorenzo, nearly 7,500 feet above sea level. As the mist shifted and sunlight broke through, Sam knelt and asked her to marry him. It was an “above-the-clouds” proposal — intimate, spontaneous, and unforgettable — a moment that perfectly captured the adventurous spirit that defines their relationship.

Guests began with Borgo’s signature bread, local olive oil, and cultured butter, followed by chickpeas from Cortona paired with red shrimp, candied lemon, and lemongrass — a dish that perfectly balanced warmth and brightness. The second course featured red snapper baked on the skin with beans and dill, light yet full of depth, followed by pappardella filled with beef and red prawn in a white-wine butter sauce, the table favorite of the evening. For the main course, guests were served a tender fillet of beef with BBQ courgette and tomato, paired beautifully with a glass of Le Murelle Supertuscan 1N S.A. The meal concluded with a delicate red-fruit, mint, and meringue dessert, complemented by a pour of Arrighi Aleatico d’Elba 2022/2023. Each dish was accompanied by hand-selected wines — from the crisp Albarola Lunae 2024 and elegant Dievole Trebbiano 2021 to the structured Carlotto Pinot Nero 2021 — curated to follow the progression of the evening’s flavors. To close the night, the couple skipped the traditional cake, instead sharing a final toast of Amaro before leading guests into Borgo’s Treehouse Lounge for after-dinner cocktails, live music, and dancing beneath the Tuscan lightning-lit sky.

By the end of junior year, something between us had changed. The friendship we cherished had deepened into a love neither of us could ignore. That summer, in 2015, we decided to give our relationship another chance—and this time, it felt different. We quickly fell in love, our connection growing stronger with every shared moment. As we ventured through college, our love was tested in ways we could have never anticipated. Angela’s battle with cancer and the loss of her mother became defining chapters in our journey—moments that revealed the true depth of our devotion and the strength of our faith. Through every hardship, we leaned on one another and on God, discovering that faith was not only our anchor but the cornerstone of our relationship. As the years went on, our love continued to flourish. We welcomed our beloved mini goldendoodle, Aldous, into our lives and leaped to Manhattan together. Kenoza Hall was the venue selected by Angela and Jonah for the June 2025 wedding weekend. The celebration blended the refined lakeside elegance with the ease of an upstate getaway. The festivities began on Friday with a cozy, family-style Mediterranean dinner on the Porch overlooking Kenoza Lake. Guests gathered around platters of roasted branzino, lamb shawarma, and vibrant seasonal mezze, enjoying wines and heartfelt toasts as the sunlight filled the deck. The celebration shifted to the Bluestone patio for a welcome mixer featuring artisan flatbreads, cheese, and charcuterie stations, paired with local craft beers. Lawn games and firelight filled the evening as guests gathered beneath the star-filled sky, capturing the essence of the Catskills perfectly. Saturday’s celebration began with a lakeside ceremony framed by views of the lake and summer greenery. Guests were offered Angela & Jonah’s signature cocktails: a Blushing Paloma and Maple Bourbon Smash during cocktail hour, which could not better describe this pair. Dinner started with Kenoza Hall’s signature popovers and a crisp grilled Caesar salad with preserved lemon. For the main course, guests were offered Filet Rossini, tender beef layered with foie gras and a rich truffle demi-glace; Cedar-Grilled Salmon finished with beurre blanc; or Parisian Gnocchi with roasted maitake mushrooms and za’atar-spiced cauliflower for a modern vegetarian option. Every dish was paired with honey-roasted carrots, fingerling potatoes, and Kenoza Hall’s signature farm-to-table flair. The weekend wrapped with a relaxed Sunday brunch on the sun-filled Bluestone patio, where family and friends were still glowing from the celebration. From the first welcome dinner to the last cup of coffee overlooking the lake, every detail captured Angela & Jonah’s warm, loving vision for the celebration, all set against the timeless Catskills backdrop for Kenoza Hall.

The day was overflowing with food moments, literally. Cocktail hour featured vibrant displays of fresh fruit, passed appetizers, and stations, including a made-to-order sushi bar. Dinner highlighted Persian cuisine in honor of Jessica’s heritage, followed by an abundant Persian fruit and dessert bar. Late-night bites closed the evening, ensuring guests were well-fed from start to finish.

The ceremony featured a vibrant aisle lined with pink blooms leading to an explosion of fuchsia bougainvillea, coral peonies, golden ranunculus, and soft blush accents framing the chuppah with the ocean beyond. The warm terracotta of the venue’s plaza served as the grounding element for the overall palette. For the reception, the team flipped the chuppah into an Ibiza-inspired DJ cabana, keeping the structure as the focal point but transforming it with rattan lanterns, warm candlelight, and vivid floral styling. A four-piece bar stretched across an entire wall, layered with lemons, lamps, floral clusters, matchbooks, and textured accessories.[/field]

In Amalfi, Italy, the summer celebration is associated with lemons. Here, the couple brings a lemon into their wedding dream to make their guests remember that when everyone sees the lemon, it means the love celebration from this couple. Their wedding colors dominate with white florals for the ceremony and lemon color

The holy matrimony took place on a sunlit terrace. The space was defined by thousands of white florals curving into sculptural arches, mirroring the ocean waves. The seating featured modern round chairs, enhancing the elegant simplicity of the altar setting. The dinner featured long and circular tables dressed in white linen. Pastel blooms were paired with bowls of ripe lemons, reinforcing the theme of vitality and optimism. Every detail, from the custom cocktails to the menu, reflected the couple’s bright and honest love story, ensuring the guests experienced a celebration defined by the scent of salt, citrus, and eternal light. After the ceremony, guests were transported to an Amalfi-inspired midsummer dream. Before dinner, they were greeted by a lemon cocktail garden. The atmosphere was scented with citrus and fresh greenery, with vines and fruit cascading down the staircase. Over 2,000 kilograms of lemons adorned every spot, nestled beside terracotta urns, and used as accents in the water fountain, creating a vibrant, golden glow as twilight fell.

Second & Fifth Rows: Glasses containing an orange-colored cocktail, each garnished with a slice of fresh orange (peel visible). Third & Bottom Rows: Glasses with a brighter yellow/lemon-colored cocktail (possibly sparkling or lighter in texture), each garnished with a small slice of pineapple wedge and leaf. The arrangement is symmetrical and highly organized, showcasing a variety of vibrant, tropical-themed welcome drinks.

My dress is a Mon Bijou that I found at Savvy Bride. I had very specific dreams for what I wanted in a wedding dress – jacquard fabric, a full skirt, etc. The neckline wasn’t perfect, but the consultant and designer ended up working with me to be able to change it, and I ended up with the dress of my dreams!

[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]My bridesmaids’ dresses were from Birdy Grey, and I knew from the start that I wanted each of my girls to feel completely comfortable and confident. I also loved the idea of having variety and personality in the lineup. It ended up being so special because every bridesmaid got to choose a color and style that she truly loved—and seeing them all together made the photos even more beautiful and meaningful.[/field]

The groomsmen rented their suits from Generation Tux. We wanted a timeless black suit and black tie look, but added a small personal touch with a pop of color in their pocket squares. Each pocket square matched the bridesmaid’s dress of the woman they walked down the aisle with, tying everything together in such a fun and thoughtful way.

Each guest is greeted with delicious passed apps featuring the venue’s famous Billion Dollar Bacon and petite crab cakes. Dinner included a duo plate of beef tenderloin and salmon with a delicious wedding cake. Hot honey chicken biscuits were passed on the dance floor and were definitely a crowd pleaser!

This client faced a difficult time when it came to rentals due to unforeseen circumstances. We had to do a full redesign just a few months before the wedding, but we were able to keep the integrity of the overall design while selecting all new pieces. The rentals have a more modern feel when compared to the traditional venue for a fun contrast. The linens create a soft base with subtle pattern and texture without. The place settings feature unique pieces from Maison de Carine, including a chocolate-brown python charger layered with a geometric-textured dinner plate, along with textured glassware and black flatware to complete the look. The napkins are a warm mauve color to tie into the flowers, which are organically designed to create a statement and accent the specialty lighting, which includes chandeliers along with mixed table lamps for an intimate glow.

The wedding cake featured a monochromatic design with floral bas-relief detailing for an old-world feel. Featured on a table with rich rose-velvet linen, the cake was the main showstopper as guests entered the venue.

Music is a big part of our lives, so we knew this was an area where we could add meaningful personal touches. Some of our favorite moments were dancing to Shout by the Isley Brothers. Tyler went to the University of Oregon, and he played in every football game, so it felt like a fun nod to his college days. And of course, a wide mix of Taylor Swift songs. And naturally, Sweet Caroline had to make an appearance not just once but both before the ceremony and again at the reception!

Custom stationery, including wedding invitations and day-of paper. Each piece was carefully designed to tie into the warm palette with mixed textures and personalized design elements. The tone-on-tone letterpress invitation set the tone for what’s to come, and the custom pocket featured a beautiful statement floral design. The dinner menus are a continuation of the invitation design, featuring a rich brown pocket to hold the personalized dinner menu as a beautiful welcome to dinner for each guest.

Lighting plays an important role in any wedding, and this one was no exception! A mix of chandeliers hung low over each guest table to create an intimate feel and to highlight the florals. The head table featured large bronze fixtures, and the square guest tables featured beautiful and unique table lamps surrounded by florals for a statement centerpiece. The tables on the edges of the tent featured rich chocolate velvet sofas on one side for guest seating and modern black lamps behind on sofa tables. The lighting and furniture all led to a lounge feel for dinner.

The stage draping and the band created the perfect party for the end of the night. The romantic draping behind the stage created a soft, sexy backdrop for the band, keeping the dance floor full all night! The couple picked one of the band’s songs as their first, which was a special touch that tied the vendor into the celebration!

Emma and Leo became engaged at a property that was already very meaningful to them: Emma’s childhood home. While we considered other venues around New England, we quickly realized that this property, set above a pond in Cape Cod, was the only place that truly made sense. Wanting to take advantage of cooler weather and the coziness of the fall season change, we began planning in the fall of 2024 for a wedding at the property exactly one year later. Aiming for something comfy, seasonal, and completely unstuffy, we went with an “elegant lakeside cottage” feel that would create a transportive experience for guests throughout the day: something a little rustic but also elevated.

Leo proposed where the couple got married: the bride’s childhood home. He decorated the dock on the pond and surprised Emma with an intimate proposal on the water before celebrating with family back at the house.

Excellent food was a hallmark of the day, and none of it was more important than dessert. During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed a specialty cocktail and two specialized bars as they meandered the property and played antique-style lawn games. They picked through the 360 degree mezze grazing table and enjoyed a variety of passed hors d’oevures. Guests entered the reception tent with a greeting from servers offering champagne, then were seated and enjoyed a seasonal fall menu before a long dance set!

We wanted to enjoy all of the natural beauty that fall has to offer. We leaned into foliage with hints of yellow, orange, and red, and emphasized flowers in a variety of warm and mauve tones. The bride’s favorite flower is sunflower, so we incorporated it with a twist by using a more chocolatey variety so suit the palette and add depth!

Dessert was the couple’s favorite part of the catering. They couldn’t decide on just one thing! In addition to the passed dessert, an affogato station, and a cake station in the tent, they also brought in a truck from their favorite spot, Blanche’s Ice Cream, and chose all of their favorite flavors.

The couple’s Bernese Mountain Dog puppy, Maple, joined them for portraits and the ceremony. She pulled a wagon holding their nephew down the aisle–she did great!

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]On the morning of the wedding, Emma took time to do her favorite activity with her dad: water skiing! They took off from the very dock where Leo proposed.[/field]

The bride did all of the illustrations herself. Our stationer, Steracle, incorporated these into the invitations and into letterpress patterns for the day of stationery. The meandering, whimsical illustrated map in the invitations was all Emma’s brainchild, and we worked a lakeside feel into it by doing a green tree line for the die cut portion at the top and backing it in a blue tone that guests would see when they pulled it out of the envelope. Emma also made the couple’s wood-burnished welcome sign, directional signs around the property, and cork escort card coasters!

Our wedding was very special because we wanted it to tell our story. We love neutral colors because they bring us a sense of peace, and green was the perfect accent because we adore nature. Every detail reflected who we are, including our logo, which featured a maple leaf. Why a maple leaf? It was the first gift Diego gave Sofía. He was traveling in Vermont, and during a casual conversation, I mentioned I’d be happy with just a pine needle. He took that comment to heart, found a beautiful leaf, and carefully brought it back in a little box. For us, that leaf represents how it all began: with a simple but deeply meaningful gesture. We wanted our wedding to tell that story—and it did.

“Milagros” gown by Vera Wang. A-line silhouette, Chantilly lace, strapless neckline with removable long sleeves. I loved it—it felt romantic and timeless, with a vintage touch but a modern cut. It made me feel so special and beautiful. My plain, two-tiered tulle veil was perfect for walking down the aisle veiled—I felt like a ’90s bride straight out of the movies I watched growing up.

Custom-made suit by Sotto Sartoria, Mexico City. He chose every detail—fabric, cut, stitching. The shirt had his initials embroidered.

The food was spectacular—Penzi catered the event. The dishes had a contemporary presentation but felt like comfort food. First course: Heart of palm ceviche and portobello stuffed with prosciutto and roasted tomatoes. Second course: Roasted red and yellow bell pepper cream (guests loved it—some asked for seconds!). Third course: Beef filet in three-Chile sauce or red wine and Chile Morita sauce. Guests were welcomed with margaritas, mezcal cocktails, and mojitos. Wine (red and white) was Mexican. Desserts were paired with carajillos, followed by an open bar from Vineira for dancing all night.

Angélica Solache completely understood my vision—I wanted something unique, green, and countryside-inspired. I told her, “As if you picked them from a field.” All in neutral tones—it came out incredible. We used small vases with single or minimal flowers so each bloom could be appreciated in detail.

Instead of a traditional wedding cake, guests enjoyed a fourth course: Vanilla crème Brulé and deconstructed tres leches cake.

Cocktail hour: Live music by Los Rabeats—amazing! Reception: DJ Pato de Ezquerro. Couple’s entrance: “Imagine – Tiësto Remix”. First dance: “Qué suerte tenerte” by Fonseca

Doctor-themed surprise: My friends organized a hilarious “happening” dressed in surgical scrubs, carrying signs that read Mrs. Vidales and photos of us, while “Llamado de Emergencia” by Daddy Yankee played—because I’m a doctor!

Smoke blasters moment: We lit smoke blasters during “La Intuición” by Karlo & Chusi to hype the party—our guests were thrilled!
