Everything was thoughtfully designed, from the custom stationery (the prettiest one I’ve ever seen) featuring the Tahoe landscape to the elegant details throughout. The brides made sure every element reflected their vision. Soft pink tones tied it all together beautifully.

We were about a year and a half into dating when we decided that it was about time to get engaged. We consulted with Cat’s mom on ring shopping, where the three of us went together, looking and discussing our dream rings with one another. On this trip, Debra started discussing her engagement ring, which had been stolen years prior, wrestling with the idea of replacing it. On the way out, Hannah Marie asked Debra her thoughts on the two of us getting married, to which she replied, I mean,n I thought you two would be getting married after moving in with one another. And then it was time to get to planning. Both of us wanted to be proposed to, but Cat wanted to be proposed to first. Hannah Marie had coordinated a weekend in Colorado with plans foCat’sts family and all of our friends to have a weekend celebrating our love. It was only a few weeks later when we received the tragic news that Debra had been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, and plans quickly turned to a proposal in Fort Worth so that Debra could be a part of it. On the day of my proposal to Cat, I walked into Debra’s bedroom and showed her the ring. I told her I wanted to show her the ring before we left, and she told me that it was beautiful, that Cat was going to love it, and that she was excited to see it on Cat’s finger. We left for brunch with Cats sister and brother-in-law, where we “had to make a reservation,” only to end up being the only people in the restaurant. Ian had “recommended” we go to the art museum to look around. I couldn’t think straight as we showed up to the museum, but as the time came to ask the question, I said to Cat, “This is the moment, this is the moment” and finally said, “It has been the biggest privilege of my life to love you, will you marry me.” of course Cat said yes, we celebrated with some drinks before returning to Cats parents house to share our news. Cat does not love to hike. But a few weeks later, back in Colorado, she started to plant the seeds that she wanted to go on a hike after work. I was thrilled by this news, as I love to hike and would jump at any opportunity to hike with my nowfiancéee. As I’m changing into a very casual T-shirt, shorts, and bright blue socks, Cat says to me, “Do you have any other socks you can wear?” I determined the socks were the most appropriate for the occasion and wore them anyway. My grandparents met in Colorado, and while my grandmother was not interested in dating my grandfather at first, she agreed to go on a date with him because he had a sports car. Their first date was at Lookout Mountain in Golden, where my grandma swears he almost drove her off the mountain, but the rest was history. On this day, Cat and I drove up Lookout Mountain, parked at the trailhead, and started our hike. 200 feet into our hike, Cat stopped me, got on one knee, and asked me to marry her. I was completely surprised! We spent the rest of the evening getting a beer with our friend,d who took some pictures, along with another surprise when we returned home. Our other friends had set up a romantic dinner, where Cat and I got to enjoy our engagement together.

“Our reception highlights were definitely how incredible our band was, all of our guests filling the dance floor all night, and the two of us being on stage singing Pink Pony Club at the top of our lungs. It was SO much fun and definitely a favorite moment.”

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Their love story is rooted in serendipity. They first met during Denver Pride in 2022 and have been inseparable since. Together, they share a love for travel, live music, skiing and snowboarding, and adventures with their pup, Luke. Lake Tahoe also holds an especially deep meaning for them, as they previously visited to celebrate the life of HM’s late brother. Choosing it as their wedding destination felt like everything aligned perfectly.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]After the wedding, Cat and HM set off on a two-week road trip honeymoon with their dog, Luke. They explored the Northern California coast, Oregon, Boise, and Park City, savoring time outdoors, delicious dinners, and intentional moments together before heading back into everyday life. They wrapped up the trip with a concert by their favorite band, Goose, a perfect finale! And in the future, they’re already dreaming up a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Asia, with plans to explore Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korea.[/field]

From Anne, “Will and I first met in high school through mutual friends – we grew up in neighboring towns, Needham and Brookline. I always had a crush on him, but with him attending the University of Vermont and me at the College of Charleston, the timing never quite aligned. We reconnected on my 21st birthday, which happened to be New Year’s Eve (our first kiss during the ball drop was very cute!), and started dating shortly after graduation. We moved to New York City, where we shared our first apartment, and when COVID hit, we took the opportunity to explore new places together, living in Jackson Hole, Lake Tahoe, and LA before eventually settling in Boston. All of that to say, in 2023, Will proposed in Charleston, my favorite city, followed by dinner at our favorite restaurant, Chez Nous.”

The off-the-shoulder silk design, with its elegant long sleeves and fluid lines, exuded a timeless sophistication—effortlessly chic with a hint of royal allure. Perfectly suited to the setting, the gown was complemented by Anne’s most sentimental accessory: her veil, lovingly preserved and passed down from her mother and grandmother. From Anne, “I loved the structure and simplicity of my wedding dress. The neckline and full skirt felt timeless but still modern. It was elegant without feeling fussy, and it moved beautifully throughout the day. The after-party dress was a joy to create (with David Josef), it went through several iterations before we landed on an ice-blue fabric adorned with a pattern of diamond embellishments. The square neckline, with my wedding day bun and my mother’s tennis necklace, felt very chic!”

Guests sipped Hugo Spritzes and enjoyed gougères, foie gras, and tuna tartare during cocktail hour, followed by a three-course dinner under a clear-top tent. Honoring Anne’s family history with Prince Pasta, the first course featured spring pea and ricotta ravioli, followed by a filet of beef entrée. Dessert was a three-tiered wedding cake from Montilio’s Bakery, intricately piped and alternating between vanilla and chocolate tuxedo flavors.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The wedding was designed to evoke nostalgia while highlighting the property’s most stunning features: the architecture, manicured rose gardens, and panoramic ocean views. The tent was strategically placed over an elevated floor above the pool, seamlessly integrating into the home’s layout while maximizing the vistas.

A “foyer” tent served as an entryway to the reception, draped in tangerine, ivory, and olive green striped fabric, with a bold orange lantern pendant hanging above an escort card table featuring a striking green-and-white striped linen and a statement floral arrangement. The entryway created an immediate impact, transporting guests to the Marbella Club through the use of luxurious fabrics, coastal views, and curated lighting.

Inside the main tent, soft ivory draping provided an elegant, elevated finishing touch, while strategically placed trees and greenery—both behind the band stage and around the space—brought the outdoors inside. Vibrant floral arrangements punctuated every table, complementing the bright and cheerful color palette of coral, peach, pinks, greens, and touches of cream and yellow. A 360-degree bar on the patio allowed guests to enjoy refreshments from all angles, encouraging mingling and a sense of flow throughout the space.

Every detail, from the choice of linens and furniture to the placement of floral arrangements and lighting, was intentionally curated to create a cohesive design story—one that was at once nostalgic, romantic, and vividly inspired by Anne and Will’s love of the Marbella Club aesthetic.[/field]

From Anne, “The house itself was the most sentimental element of the wedding. Built in 1927, it’s been in my family for generations, and celebrating in the backyard, with guests arriving through the front door, felt deeply personal. That sense of heritage carried through in many of the details. I wore my great-great-great-grandmother’s veil from 1875, originally made in Italy, along with sapphire and diamond Edwardian earrings from my grandmother. The cake knife, made in England in 1870, was a wedding gift to my mother and has now been used across generations. We wove subtle nods to family history throughout the design as well. The orange tones used across the wedding, from florals to the printed materials, were inspired by my great-great-grandmother’s trumpet vine, which still climbs the back door of the house. The same motif appeared on our menus and schedule inserts, tying everything together. Other heirlooms found their way into the celebration in smaller, meaningful ways. Our cake topper was from my grandparents’ wedding, and for the rehearsal dinner, I wore a Priscilla of Boston dress that was my mother’s high school graduation dress from 1979. Will wore his grandfather’s salmon Brooks Brothers sport coat that Thursday evening. For the after-party, we even repurposed my great-grandmother’s demitasse cups as cigarette holders – a fun, sentimental touch. We also used my grandfather’s 1939 MG T-Type throughout the weekend, driving it to the rehearsal dinner and welcome party and leaving it out front as guests arrived.”

Followed by the Moon gown by @katherinetash for the rehearsal evening, sleek and romantic in every detail. Each look felt intentional, refined, and effortlessly chic. A true reflection of her personal style.

Adding a personal twist, the couple named their creations the “Getting Mauid Mai Tai” and “Bruin’s Paw-loma,” a playful nod to their beloved dog.

For their reception, bistro lights and woven mini pendants created a warm, intimate atmosphere over a mix of round and long tables. Couture Events used a combination of white tabletops and wood accents, upholstered chairs, and woven chargers to bring in texture. Each place setting was finished with a single Thai orchid and custom paper goods from Swell Press for a clean, modern vibe. A relaxed lounge area was thoughtfully styled near the bar, featuring white upholstered seating, natural wood accents, and softly glowing fire tables. The inviting setup offered guests a comfortable place to gather, perfectly balancing the more structured dining layout.

The festivities began with a sunset sail aboard the ShangriLa, where guests dressed in all-white enjoyed ocean views and golden-hour breezes as they toasted to the weekend ahead. The bride stood out effortlessly in a light-blue two-piece ensemble, a soft nod to the hues of the Pacific — the perfect prelude to the days of celebration that followed. The following afternoon, the group gathered for a beachfront welcome party at Ulu Kitchen at The Westin Ka’anapali Resort and Spa, where guests mingled over local bites, tropical cocktails, and live music by Tad Jennings, a beloved talent from Oʻahu. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the evening set a warm, joyful tone for the celebration to come — casual, vibrant, and unmistakably Maui.

An Elegant, Cheeky Garden Wedding at Marble House Inspired by Palm Beach Ease

Guests were greeted with cocktail napkins featuring a custom-designed toile pattern with otters and ravens. A nod to both family names and a playful take on tradition. Favors were mini bottles of Vermont maple syrup, a wink at both the local setting and the groom’s infamous Hinge profile photo documenting his love for pancakes. A custom Art Nouveau-style save-the-date, framed at the bar, paid homage to the venue and doubled as artwork for their home.

The ceremony itself needed little more than the venue’s natural beauty: cascading marble staircases, lush late-summer blooms, and a sweeping view of the garden terraces. The bride, an opera singer and attorney who grew up just minutes away from the property, made her entrance from the very top of the staircase with a cathedral-length veil trailing behind her. A breathtaking, dramatic moment that felt straight out of a scene in a European garden. Adding even more meaning, some of the hydrangeas came directly from her mother’s garden, and her mother arranged one of the urn displays at the ceremony site herself.[/field]

From there, the couple layered in nods to English garden parties, French country aesthetics, Palm Beach cheekiness, chinoiserie, and even touches of grand millennial charm. The reception carried these elements into a tent filled with patterned tablecloths, rattan lampshades, and long rows of lush garden-inspired centerpieces in pinks, whites, and greens. Guests dined by candlelight under trees brought inside the tent, with fluted hurricanes, cut-crystal glassware, and playful disco balls adding sparkle to the evening.

A Festive Welcome and a Regal White Wedding at a 15th-Century Italian Villa

For the welcome dinner, we opted for a vibrant palette of colours, perfectly suited for the garden setting. I chose to incorporate red florals into my hair to complement my Italian floral dress, and we also featured plenty of red blooms in the décor. To enhance the festive atmosphere, we had singers performing tarantella and fresh pizza cooked on-site in a pizza oven. On the wedding day, we primarily utilized white tones to ensure the stunning villa in the background remained the focal point.

Our vision was to seamlessly blend the setting of the 15th-century villa with the beauty of the Italian countryside and my chosen lace, regal dress. I loved the villa’s courtyard, so we chose it for dinner, opting for round tables to encourage conversation among guests. I aimed for a fun and lively atmosphere during dinner, which led us to our amazing host, George. He was truly extraordinary, effortlessly juggling two languages. We had our first dance midway through the dinner, allowing us to transition into a joyful celebration with everyone right afterward. We also selected a separate location for the cake cutting, where we planned a surprise fireworks display.

Showcasing a unique chandelier lace sleeve, a low V-neckline, and an A-line silhouette without any heavy folds at the waist. We decided to shorten the train to make it more practical and added a bustle that created a seamless transition, giving the dress a whole new look. To complement the intricate details at the back, I chose a sheer veil that wouldn’t overpower the design. The dress was in its original colour, featuring a peach hue on the base layers that beautifully matched the villa. We also lengthened the collar to accentuate my neck, which I adored.[/field]

The food was provided by the villa, and we chose local Tuscan options, a lot of meat. For the welcome dinner, we opted for a pizza, which was a hit.

Villa Mangiacane features a stunning terracotta hue, and since dinner was set to take place in the courtyard, we opted for a minimalistic floral decor. We chose predominantly white blooms, accented with soft peach tones and a lot of greenery to enhance the outdoor setting. The floral arrangements on each table were kept relatively low to avoid overshadowing the chandeliers hanging above, which added a beautiful touch and elevated the overall ambiance. I particularly liked the stairs, so we decided to decorate the staircase with florals too, which created an incredible atmosphere around our sweetheart table. We truly felt like in a pool of flowers. The décor of the church was truly remarkable, highlighted by a large half arch at the entrance, which we also adorned in white. Our talented florist transported the flowers from the church to the villa, where we repurposed them to enhance the cake-cutting area.

Our cake followed a cherished family tradition. In my family, the cake topper is passed down from the bride’s wedding to her grandchildren’s wedding. I ordered mine online and sewed a miniature version of my dress for it. It was adorable and added a sweet, personal touch to the day.

It was played during my first trip to Italy, where Sandro first told me he loved me. It was important to me that my father walk me down the aisle, while Sandro wanted to honour Italian tradition by having his mother accompany him. A week before the wedding, during a tour of Italy with my family, we chose the music for our entrances. We chose “La Califfa” for my walk and “Gabriel’s Oboe” for Sandro. On the day, as I stood hidden near the church, hearing Sandro’s entrance moved me to tears; it was the most meaningful moment.

Sandro and I each took a piece to determine who would be the “boss” in the family. It was a special moment, and our Italian guests were fascinated by the tradition.[/field]

We also added personal touches to the stationery. The menu featured a fresco from the villa’s main entrance, with gold details that impressed those who recognized it. A sweet highlight: Pandie’s World ft. The Fly Club, a custom candy shop built and created by the famous Julie Junk. Named after Andie’s childhood nickname “Pandie” and Ryan’s Harvard final club, the setup offered nostalgic treats – panda gummies, Oregon Ducks chocolate ducks, Mexican candies, cookies, Sun Valley s’mores, Shamrock Rice Krispies, soft serve ice cream, and even a “Ryan’s Recovery Station” stocked with Dr Pepper, Gatorade, and Electrolit. The celebration overflowed with unexpected delights: a carajillo and espresso martini bar (complete with popsicles) by Carino Mio, a rooftop surprise filled with balloons and 3D glasses and light up headgear, and the unforgettable Calavera Mezcal Bar, featuring six signature cocktails and the infamous “Wheel of Death”- a daring game that challenged guests to take triple shots, taste scorpions, or endure electric shocks.

The world-class 20-piece band Metropoli was flown in from Monterrey and set the tone with a smooth start: Sinatra, Bocelli, and Adele songs over dinner; and brought the house down with a high-energy Spanish-English pop sets, including the bride’s beloved tracks like “Pink Pony Club,” “La Vida es un Carnaval,” “Sweet Caroline,” “Kill the Lights”, and of course, “Mr. Brightside”. The groom and his mother shared a heartfelt dance to James Taylor’s “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You),” followed by the couple’s electric first dance to Love Affair’s “Everlasting Love, paying homage to one of their favorite films: Belfast, and the ggroom’sIrish heritage. In one of the most emotional moments of the night, as the bride no longer had her father for their planned dance, the entire Peralta family—Mauricio’s side—rose to surround her on the dance floor. Together, they honored him by dancing to Roy Orbison’s “You Got It”—the song he had picked out just for them. The family then invited everyone to join, officially opening the dance floor with a flood of love, unity, and celebration. On March 26th, one day before festivities were set to kick off, the father of the bride, Mauricio Moreno Peralta, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. There were over 350 guestswhot had traveled to Mexico City from over 20 countries to celebrate. What was the couple supposed to do? Andie chose to move forward with the wedding in an extraordinary act of strength, love, and resilience. Her father, Maurici,o was a proud “chilango,” a lifelong resident of Mexico City hailing from the influential Peralta family. As the couple’s eyes & ears on the ground, Mauricio had curated every detail of the weekend; infusing his trademark joy, generosity, and impeccable taste, alongside wedding planner Lucero Alvarez. He had poured his heart & soul into planning an event to honor his daughter, and Mauricio spent the preceding two months in giddy excitement with the date approaching. As hard as it would be for Andie, she knew that moving forward with the wedding was what her father would have wanted. Andie carried herself with grace and determination in the face of unimaginable heartbreak. She honored his memory not through sorrow, but through celebration. A Three-Day Amalfi Coast Celebration Layered in Color, Romance, and Italian Riviera Style

We were lucky enough to have a 3-day event and were intentional with our styling for each day, wanting to bring a new vibe to every different moment. For our Welcome event, we wanted our guests to feel like they were in an Italian market and used plenty of bright colours representative of the beautiful,l fresh produce you would find in Italy. We asked our guests to dress in all white for our Welcome, whilst Tom & I wore a soft romantic hue of blue. We thought this allowed the venue styling to really pop! For our Wedding day, we asked guests to come in colour, perfectly complementing the summer weather on the Amalfi Coast. Our Wedding Ceremony was styled in beautiful soft whites & neutrals mixed with pops of green, which paired well with the colour of Tom’s suit and the bridal party outfits. Heading into our Wedding Reception, the colour palette turned slightly moodier, where we incorporated more burgundy and deeper purple tones into the white & green tones. These colours worked wonderfully in Villa Cimbrone’s Crypt, bringing warmth to the space. We were lucky to celebrate our Wedding Recovery at One Fire Beach Club in Praiano, featuring the iconic orange daybeds set against the breathtaking blue ocean, which gave a great colour palette for our Recovery outfits and personalised Wedding stationery.

The colour was so chic and perfectly matched the groomsmen’s suits, fitting seamlessly with our overall wedding weekend theme of ‘Something Blue.’ It felt like it was meant to be!

Food & Drink For our Wedding Welcome Event, we envisioned a real traditional Italian market-style celebration, complete with vibrant food stalls offering various Italian bites from freshly made pasta, wood-fired pizza, fresh cut prosciutto and mortadella, plus fresh mozzarella balls. It was such a fun way to kick off the wedding weekend. For our Wedding reception dinner, we opted for a delicious tomato pasta – you really can’t go wrong with such a classic dish in Italy! All guests then dined on a beef main, followed by a divine dessert buffet by the dancefloor. For drinks on our Wedding Day, guests had the choice of 2 different spritzes available – drinks we had playfully named ourselves. This was, of course, seen in addition to the standard beer/wine/prosecco offering, but I think the spritzes were a real favourite in the Italian heat! Wedding Cake We opted for a traditional Italian millefoglie for our wedding cake, which was the perfect choice for a wedding dessert on the Amalfi coast, with pure bliss in every bite! We cut the cake by the dancefloor just after our first dance, it was perfect!

One of the most special parts was having his family travel all the way from Colombia to be with us, and my grandmother—who had just turned 90—joined in the celebration. The day became a joyful blend of cultures, traditions, and loved ones, making it uniquely and unmistakably ours.”

The design featured a multi-colored floral tablecloth, potted herbs, and vibrant bud vases on the communal dining table set for their immediate family and wedding party. This was the most special nod to the bride’s late Grandfather, who spent every summer picking gallons (and she means gallons) of fresh strawberries from local farms in our area.

Set among open pastures and wild grasses, Ensemble Prairies tells the story of love rooted in place. Horses grazed quietly in the distance, golden light poured across the fields, and every detail was chosen to feel both grounded and refined. We drew inspiration directly from the land itself. Local florals reflected the tones of late-summer prairie blooms: soft ochres, faded blush, and earthy greens. A prairie-inspired menu echoed the harvest season, with notes of warmth and abundance. The cake, adorned in delicate blossoms, mirrored the organic movement of wildflowers swaying in the breeze. Our bride and groom, both from the prairies, embody the authenticity and humility of those who call this region home. They are as beautiful in spirit as they are in form—a reflection of what this landscape cultivates: grace, resilience, and quiet strength. Every vendor was chosen with the same intention. Local artists, florists, planners, and creatives came together to build something that felt deeply connected to our roots. The result is a visual love letter to this place—a celebration of artistry born from community, and of beauty found in simplicity. When we saw it in person, the view exceeded all expectations. The vineyard, with its lush greenery and rolling hills, reminded us of Tuscany itself. The limestone walls and wooden beams of the villa evoked that same rustic elegance, and we knew instantly that this was the one. It felt like Tuscany had been brought right here to us, and we couldn’t imagine a more perfect place to celebrate our special day. For the florals, I envisioned lots of fuchsia because its bold, lively hue beautifully contrasts with the natural greens and earthy tones of the setting, making everything feel bright, fresh, and full of energy. I also wanted to incorporate fresh fruits into the tablescapes to add colorful accents that evoke abundance and warmth, much like the rustic Italian countryside. From the bride: Our proposal: Justin proposed to me in Southampton, on the sands of Cooper’s Beach—a moment I will always cherish. He spent the entire day carefully planning and arranging nearly two thousand red roses into a large heart on the shore, surrounded by flickering candles that cast a warm, enchanting glow. As the sun dipped lower, painting the sky in shades of gold, he took my hands and led me along the beach. As we were walking, the breathtaking scene slowly unfolded before us—a giant heart of roses against the endless ocean, with seagulls soaring overhead. When we reached the center of the roses, he knelt down and presented me with a ring. I couldn’t help but tear up before he even asked—despite knowing this moment was coming, the emotion was so real and overwhelming. Justin was also tearing up as he asked me to marry him. Of course, I said yes, and we shared a kiss. In that moment, we both felt an overwhelming happiness, grateful to have made this lifelong commitment to each other. Later that evening, our friends told us dolphins had been jumping out of the water right when Justin proposed, adding an extra touch of magic to an already unforgettable moment. That day, surrounded by the beauty of nature and love, I knew I had found my forever. This memory will stay with me always — a perfect moment that encapsulates our love and our future ahead.

Layers of eucalyptus, cream, and copper wove through the day, blending seamlessly with the venue’s stone architecture and lush greenery. Once Gathered brought that dream to life through organic floral compositions that felt as if they were growing right out of the grounds.

An Enchanted Garden Wedding Under the Stars at Chikaming Country Club

The colors for this incredible day were a mixture of blue and purple tones, both dark and light, and a splash of white and pink throughout the bouquets and floral arrangements.

The couple’s vision for their wedding day was an Enchanted Garden. They wanted to walk into the space and be surrounded by color, tons of beautiful florals, and personalized touches that really spoke to who they are and what they love. A custom monogram was created and implemented throughout the design, and sprinkles of their dog, Ziggy, appeared on personalized items, such as the napkins and signature drinks. Merry Me took the couple’s vision and created a real-life fairytale, complete with stunning floral designs, custom bars and seating chart, gorgeous linens, beautiful ceremony arch, and so much more. To bring this gorgeous garden feel inside, a stunning, black-framed atrium tent was constructed on the grounds of Chikaming County Club. Blue Peak Tents created a space where the guests were able to be indoors for dinner and dancing, yet retain that immersive outdoor garden feel. The guests were able to dance the night away under the stars since all the sides, including the roof, were clear.

Going into the wedding dress shopping was quite the process for the bride, as she had a completely different look in mind when she first started. As soon as she got to Dimitras, she fell in love with the first dress she tried on. She felt it went perfectly with the garden princess vibe of our wedding. She did try on a few other dresses afterwards, but kept on coming back to that first one. She loved the lace detailing and the removable sleeves, which made it all the more special. You only wear a wedding dress once, so she wanted it to be elaborate and unique.

As for the bridesmaids’ dresses, purple has always been the bride’s favorite color. She knew immediately that she wanted a lavender look for the garden party vibe. She also really wanted her bridesmaids to be able to pick a dress that they loved and felt comfortable in. She had seen weddings where bridesmaids wore all different dresses within a similar color scheme, and that immediately became her inspiration. Bride quote: “It was so fun to see what the girls all came up with and to see the dresses all together for the first time on the wedding day!”

The goat cheese fritters and truffle shrimp skewer appetizers had all the guests grinning from ear to ear as they enjoyed cocktail hour on the patio of the club. The custom monogram bars served Chris and Brooks’ signature drinks. Each is named after the other, including their adorable dog, Ziggy. All three of the drinks could be made into a mocktail, which was a special treat for their guests. Dinner started with a kale Caesar salad and consisted of a juicy filet, wild-caught salmon, ora yummy vegetarian alternative. The Yukon potatoes were a crowd pleaser for sure and were paired with fresh asparagus.

The florals and decor were essential in creating the enchanted garden that the couple dreamed of. Starting with the ceremony, guests were immediately greeted by the custom welcome sign as they entered the space. Rows and rows of floral arrangements led up to the beautiful ceremony arch that Merry Me had made. The combination of the beautiful golf course, tall trees, and colorful flowers turned this ceremony into a fairytale garden. As guests moved into cocktail hour, each decor element immersed the guests in Chris and Brooks’ fairytale garden. The handcrafted shiplap escort wall, complete with floral boxes, and the custom monogram, which appeared on the bars, escort wall, dance floor,r and invitations, showed how dedicated this couple was in creating a unified theme throughout their day. After walking up the wooden steps into the atrium tent, you were immediately greeted by the large floral ring andlanterns hanging from the tent ceiling. The whole dance floor was wrapped in lavender and white squares, with Brooks and Chris’ monogram in the center. Each table adorn unique linens and flatware. The wicker chairs and matching chargers were a great way to incorporate that woodsy feel without overpowering the table with darker tones. The centerpieces consisted of tall, glass arrangements or small floral bunches, kept in ornate, white vases that reminded me of a country garden. Each design, including the bouquets, had an arrangement of garden roses, delphinium, hydrangeas, butterfly ranunculus, alliums, roses, and anemones.

Black Currant Bakery created the most elegant cake for Brooks and Chris. This 5-layer cake was frosted in a wave pattern, giving the cake movement and depth. Florals were added to elevate the look and bring pops of color to this stunning white cake. Black Currant also provided the signature donuts at the reception. These are the bride’s absolute favorite donuts, so Merry Me constructed a donut wall to display them and add to the fun of the decor. Later on in the evening, Beaver’s Donut Truck arrived, serving adorable donut holes in to-go bags so guests could take them home. However, the majority of the donut holes were found on the dance floor as guests rocked out to Blue Water Kings, donut in hand.

Hallie, with Abundance Wedding Painter,r created a stunning painting of Chris and Brooks, kissing at the ceremony. The couple was blown away by the detail and couldn’t wait to show it off to their guests.

The bride’s wedding band was particularly special for this day. From the bride: “The wedding band was the band my dad gave to my mom for their 10th anniversary. After my dad’s death, my mom surprised me by saying she wanted me to have the ring she had worn for so long, since I’m the only daughter. Chris and I were so honored that she wanted it to be a part of our ceremony and life together. And we will always cherish it knowing that my dad picked it out.”

When it came time for sunset photos, the couple wanted photos both on the golf course and at the beach. The couple was able to travel in style thanks to the Studebaker Museum, which provided a vintage Studebaker car for the occasion. The classic black color and style matched Chris’s slick tuxedo. The contrast created by Brooks’ white gown resulted in every image looking like they just walked off a Hollywood movie set. Brooks’ family home is nestled right on Lake Michigan. Brooks has so many happy memories of spending countless days at the beach with her whole family, including her father, who had passed away. Being able to take photos on the beach that meant so much to Dadra was one of the highlights of the day. It was almost kismet that the clouds turned blueish-purple, their exact wedding colors. Brooks knew that that was her dad, smiling down on her. It just doesn’t get any better than that.

A Florida Takes New England Garden Wedding in a Beloved Grandmother’s Backyard

Centering their celebration around a beloved grandmother’s backyard, Sydney and Julian’s wedding checked every box on their dream list — with a perfectly curated aesthetic lovingly worthy of the title “Florida-does-New-England-Grandmother.” The couple had two non-negotiables: to be married in a chapel with a Catholic ceremony and to host their reception in Sydney’s grandmother’s backyard. Her grandmother’s waterfront yard provided a scenic backdrop, and the outdoor tent became a central design moment. It featured intricate ceiling decor, ruffled fabric, and free-flowing floral installations that took considerable planning and engineering to bring to life.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]Sydney and Julian credit the modern magic of online dating for bringing them together. At a time when social distancing made an extra hurdle for meeting people, their connection was instant. While Julian worked night shifts and Sydney pursued her undergraduate degree, it quickly became clear they were two halves of a perfect whole. Their early days were marked by joyful adventures: apple picking, painting classes, and growing close to each other’s families. These shared experiences wove their lives together, filling their relationship with support, laughter, and a deepening love. Julian proposed in late fall, beneath the glow of a Key West sunset. As sailboats drifted by and tourists cheered from the shore, Sydney’s heart swelled with joy — she said “yes!”[/field]

Sydney fully embraced the idea that not every part of wedding planning had to be a joint effort. “I actually had to ask my fiancé to take a step back!” she laughed. Dividing responsibilities ultimately became their strength, while Sydney focused on the creative vision, Julian tackled spreadsheets, logistics, and, most importantly, planning their honeymoon.
