Bright And Beautiful Botanical-Inspired Summer Wedding

The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision

Botanical Inspired - The family property, Cat Bow Farm, was the foundation for the entire wedding weekend. The Weeks Lancaster Trust, which owns the Cat Bow Farm in Lancaster, NH, was established by the Hon. Sinclair Weeks and his wife, Beatrice Dowse Weeks, in 1928. The over 700 acres of the Weeks Lancaster Trust property are located on Weeks Road on the southern slopes of Mts. Pleasant and Orne.

Proposal Story
"It was supposed to be on a super cool/intense backpacking trip in Alaska - we didn't end up getting into the backcountry of Alaska, but Asa did get down on one knee! He proposed with a pebble."
The Fashion
Wedding Gown

The dress was by a Ukrainian designer. The Bride was in Miami and walked by a bridal boutique. The wedding dress was in the shop window and she knew it was her dress!

Groomsman Attire
The Groom already had his suit!

Barry, a family friend, was the officiant - fun seed paper poppers at the end of the ceremony. Silver Arrow Band brought down the house! The after-party went on until 5:00 AM, long after the final colors of the fireworks display faded into the night.

Special Detail #1
Teddy, their dog, was involved (he nearly stole the show!), as were their niece and nephew. The Bride's sister is a doctor and also was married at the family property, Cat Bow Farm.
Special Detail #2
All stationery, including the property map, invitations, escort and menu cards, and table numbers were done by Linnea, the Bride. She hand-painted everything! Linnea is an incredible artist. Her guests were beyond blessed with the stationery suite she crafted for them. A true display of love bestowed upon her friends and family.
Special Detail #3
Cat Bow Farm, the Weeks Family property. Yes, that Weeks family (the Bride's family). Sinclair Weeks was a Senator from Massachusetts and served as Secretary of Commerce in the Eisenhower Administration. Eisenhower visited Cat Bow Farm in 1955. Congressman John Weeks, the man behind the Weeks Act of 1911, which led to the creation of the White Mountain National Forest (WMNF). The Weeks Lancaster Trust, which owns the Cat Bow Farm in Lancaster NH, was established by the Hon. Sinclair Weeks and his wife Beatrice Dowse Weeks in 1928. The over 700 acres of the Weeks Lancaster Trust property are located on Weeks Road on the southern slopes of Mts. Pleasant and Orne. Cat Bow Farm is comprised of open fields which support native plants, birds and animals, as well as extensive forest land, wetlands and the approx. 50% of the shore of the 128 acre Martin Meadow Pond. In addition, there is the National Register-eligible Sinclair Weeks House (1929), a c. 1830 family homestead, two barns, sheds, and six other homes occupied by family members. Linnea and Asa lived at Cat Bow Farm during the pandemic. The Bride, Linnea, was named after her Beatrice Weeks Bast, who passed away in the spring of 2023, and was also an artist. A room in the home is so spectacular and bright (hot pink!) and full of Beatrice's art (including a hand-painted dragon on the toilet seat!).
