Chic + Modern Portland Wedding
Hip weddings and the city of Portland go hand-in-hand. And the fact that this Bride and Groom chose to exchange their vows on a Middle School rooftop with killer city views is the coolest thing ever. The whole affair is a modern couple's dream come to life, and Birds Of A Feather didn't miss a beat. Psst: right this way for so much more.
From Birds Of A Feather...New Yorkers Josh & Liz curated a casual, fun-filled day that reflected their love of minimalist design and fashion. Liz, who works for the shoe designer Matt Bernson, and Josh, a product designer, both have family roots in Portland so a destination wedding over the summer seemed a perfect fit.
Their ceremony on the roof of Washington Middle School showed off 360 degree views of the city on a perfectly sunny day, and they surprised their guests with a New Orleans style 2nd line processional to the reception venue, Cooper's Hall. All 100 guests dancing down the streets of Portland was a sight to behold! Great food and tons of dancing filled the rest of the fun-filled evening.
Design-wise, Josh designed all the paper goods, and a family florist friend created the candleholders offset by simple succulent arrangements. Liz and her bridesmaids and flower girls all wore Matt Bernson shoes, naturally!
