Colorful Summer Wedding at San Ysidro Ranch Part I
I've always known our friends at Flowerwild are crazy talented. But their latest wedding work of art pushes the design bar to a whole new level. Dressed in the loveliest jewel tone hues, it's a wedding that's not afraid to play with color and the payoff was tenfold. From Kate of Flowerwild... You can't really wish for a day more beautiful. This couple has deep love for one another and watching the way their families came together at the wedding was extremely special. From all our beginning talks, it was clear that the bride wanted her strong sense of style and love of color to be emphasized in the details woven thru the event from start to finish. As a lover of color, this was a refreshing place to begin!
We started by creating a dramatic, entirely custom invite with amber moon designs and tiny pines press. Crafting larger than life envelopes that opened to reveal a deep, dark, rich Dutch painting relief. This set the tone for the overall approach to the wedding day. Within the envelopes rested yet another, petal fold enclosure that held the copper foil invite with calligraphy by anne robins. Sealed with a boldly dark copper wax seal, and overlaid with a vellum paper, that reiterated the dutch flora esthetic we started with... It seemed as if the butterflies and flowers might float and fly off the pages as the invites were opened! Sumptuous colors, velvety textures, lush floral...the wedding was off to a great start.
