Claire Pettibone Butterfly Garden Bridal Shoot
Kelly Sauer works magic behind a lens. And when that lens is on the stunning gowns of Claire Pettibone, dreams ultimately come true. It leaves us all with a shoot that feels like a complete lace-covered fairy-tale, and makes me seriously jealous of any bride that gets to wear one these gorgeous works of art. See even more here.
From Exquisitrie By Kelly Sauer...Type A Society (formerly) Fleurish Events and I photographed these Claire Pettibone gowns in a butterfly garden with a little stone path going through and hummingbirds darting in and out overhead as the morning light filtered through the trees above. We foraged the edges of the garden for greenery to fill our bouquets, and we were three girls playing dress-up on the loveliest day of spring, using the camera as our mirror, and feeling more beautiful than we'd felt even on our wedding days. We wanted to create a natural in-the-moment feeling, even though we were trying to showcase the gowns for Claire. With the stone path, the beautiful lavender blossoms (goodness, I haven't figured out what those are yet!), and the discovery of one little spider web along the side of our "set," we added our garden details and let the lace and the girls' sense of wonder carry the shoot.
