Elegant Playa Del Carmen Wedding

Our dear editor Erin is off enjoying the beauties of Mexico, and as if I didn't have enough reason to be jealous this little stunner has officially upped the ante. It's everything you'd dream of in a destination wedding, and with Canteiro and 74 Events behind the scenes, it's no wonder the day went off without a hitch. From The Bride...Our "Weekend del Amor" was incredible! We chose Mexico because of it's jungles and beaches, food and people, and Maroma because of it's beauty and soul. 44 of our closest friends and family stayed the weekend to relax on the beach and celebrate our love. Friday night we hosted a welcome fiesta for all of our guests, but beforehand the hotel had a surprise: releasing baby sea turtles back in to the wild. This was an incredible and moving experience. Saturday was the wedding at sunset- we had a Mayan ceremony-mariachi band at cocktail hour and dancing and dining under the stars. At a certain point it began to rain so we all went indoors to continue the dance party.
