Mt. Hood, Oregon Engagement Session

I've seen a lot of engagement sessions in my day, but this one from ANIKO Productions has moved straight to the top of my favorites list. It's just captured so beautifully I could cry, and it doesn't hurt that the couple is drop dead gorgeous too. Throw in an adorable pooch, and well, I'm basically a goner. Long story short, I'm obsessed with this gallery of images.

From the ANIKO Productions...Rose and Michael requested a snowy engagement session, and with little snow in the Portland area this year we decided we would travel to Mt. Hood to even see snow. This is about a 90 minute drive from Portland. My assistant and I arrived a couple hours early to find locations. Government Camp was our first stop, and is where the majority of the photos were taken. We had to ask the locals where we might find a running river (Rose had her heart set on having a river in some of the photos). They directed us to the other side of the mountain. We were so stunned by how beautiful the river was and the mist rolled in just as we started photographing Rose and Michael. Rose was freezing in her dress and heels, but she says it was well worth it.

From the Bride...Michael and I have been together for a little over 6 years now. We grew up near each other in the same city, but we went to different high schools. We didn't meet each other until we went off to college. Michael and I met in 2007 at Oregon State University in class. We were inseparable then and even till this day. We love spending time with each other, especially outdoor activities involving snow. That is one of the reasons we wanted a romantic wintery engagement session. Another reason is that you don't see too many winter themed engagement photos. We really wanted our engagement photos to be unique and reflect our personalities. We are both really silly people and love a good laugh. And of course, we had to include our beloved pup, Wester.

The Proposal:
Michael proposed on our 6 year anniversary. I had no clue though, he had been planning it for a couple of months with his sisters and our close friends. He wrote them a long list of how he wanted everything done. He wanted them to decorate our home with bouquets of rose in mason jars, pink and red rose pedals all over the floor and candles everywhere. So after dinner at ringside to celebrate our 6th anniversary…I came home to a fully decorated home and a proposal. Shortly after everyone that helped decorated came out of no where. It was super sweet.
