Australian Wedding Inspiration from Studio Impressions
I am quickly learning that flowers set the stage. The mood. The everything. Flowers are everything. So when an inspiration shoot with a floral design this lovely, from Mondo Floral Designs no less, comes across my desk, especially when it's been captured by Studio Impressions, my day has been set. Set fabulous, happy, gorgeous, and good. All because of this gallery here.
From the stylist ... We wanted to create the kind of atmosphere that so many gorgeous brides love - something simple, yet beautifully luxurious. We used a colour palate with a base of white and ivory, accents of cream, beige, sage, jade and a soft silvery green, have been added to contrast with natural woods & browns.
The Ceremony Set Up:
On the lawn at Spicers Tamarind we created an elegant, but simple, ceremony set up with the use of the following elements:
- A dark bamboo canopy featuring flowing muslin curtains tied back with floral arrangements.
-8 dark oak original bentwood chairs with paddle ceremony service programs placed on each chair.
-A natural weaved aisle runner down the middle of the chairs.
-A rustic wooden registry table placed to one side of the altar with 2 vintage bentwood chairs.
The Romantic Lounge Set Up included:
-A chocolate leather Moran lounge with a natural wooden trunk table.
-A feature chandelier placed in the tree sitting over the lounge area.
-A floral in a copper/bronze vase placed on the side table. Unstructured arrangements with soft white, ivory and greenery.
An sophisticated Cocktail Bar was also set-up with a dark wooden bar and 3 dark oak original Bentwood high bar stools, french grey candelabra, whiskey decanters and glasses.
The cake by Cake Designs was a two tiered cake with an elegant finish, in a slight minty colour to fit the theme, sitting on a simple white stand. A large floral design features to one side of the cake.
The Reception Set Up was inside the Spicers Tamarind Restaurant. A long wooden table creates an elegant dining table for a sit down dinner party of 8.
Natural wooden tables create a gorgeous base to the elegant design complimented with elegant dark oak original Bentwood chairs.
A taupe linen table runner across the centre of the table adds a soft elegant touch, with taupe linen napkins at each place setting
Florals in the same colouring as the bouquets and buttonholes are eclectically placed across the centre of the table, in copper/bronze vases and glass tea lights between the floral arrangements bring soft candlelight to the setting.
The area is famous for its local produce and The Tamarind at Spicer's Tamarind is a renowned Thai Restaurant and cooking school. Tamarind's Head Chef created a menu perfectly suited to such an elegant event:
MENU:
Canapes: Mar hor, caramelised pork, prawn & chicken with peanuts, crispy shallots served on pineapple and watermelon wedge.
Entrée: Master stock braised pork belly, pickled green papaya, Vietnamese mint, coriander, dehydrated pineapple, soy caramel, roasted peanuts
Main Course: Panfried barramundi with slow braised oxtail wonton dumpling, sweet and sour sauce, lime, chilli and coconut.
Dessert: Coconut parfait with sticky black rice ice cream, pandan meringue, and raspberry chilli jam
