Sonoma Wedding from KT Merry

A double feature with one of our favorite photographers, KT Merry, just might be the best way to spend the workday. It means loads of great images filling our screens, all of which are light-filled and as dreamy as they come. That's a KT Merry given. Not to mention that this garden affair in Sonoma is also awash with a certain easy elegance that comes from alfresco dinner details by MAP Events, the softest, prettiest florals by Cherries and a breathtaking backdrop like Annadel Estate Vineyard. Now set your sites on the gallery for so, so much more.

From the Bride...Some of my thoughts: I'm not one of those girls who dreamed of her wedding dress since she was 6 years old, so this wedding planning process was certainly...well, a process! Although we both live in New York, we decided to get married in Sonoma where much of my family lives (and we got engaged!) Coupled with starting a new job, moving, and studying for a major exam, it was certainly a ton of work planning a wedding across the country, so I depended quite a bit on our amazing vendors, my extended family, and of course my fiance. Our goal was to plan a special, magical event that felt like us and was a blast for our guests. Our go to words were rustic elegance (whatever that means), colors included peach, blush pink, and neutrals, and inspiration came from wedding blogs like this (oh the hours that were wasted!). Advice to brides out there: If you are type A like me but also incredibly busy, it can be really stressful to try to plan an incredible event that feels like you when you simply don't have time! So pick vendors that understand your vision and let them do their job. Delegate as many tasks as you can to friends and family - send them pictures of what you want and let them source or make it. Absolutely set aside some time to spend on the ceremony and write your vows if you can - it ended up being incredibly meaningful to us and our guests really enjoyed it. Once the wedding weekend starts, assign someone else to be the point person and don't think about logistics for a second. Look UP when walking down the aisle, get to your dessert table, and make sure to take photos with friends that aren't in your bridal party. Keep reminding yourself to be in the moment, because no matter how hard you try, it will flash by in a second!
