Pennsylvania Wedding from Hoffer Photography + The Master's Baker
If there is one single thing about this wedding that drew me in from the get go (and let me tell you, picking one single thing from a wedding so filled with beautiful moments is not easy) it'd have to be that cake. It's a work of art from The Master's Baker, and I need a slice. It was a shining moment in a wedding filled with sparkly details - including a fireworks show! - all captured by Hoffer Photography and put together in a beautiful gallery here.
From the photography ... Lauren & Derek's wedding was on a beautiful day in June and took place at the Brandywine Manor House in Honey Brook, PA. The outdoor ceremony took place in the afternoon and spilled into the evening, which was capped off with a fireworks display on the property to end the night. The reception was in an open air tent with gorgeous uplighting and music from Love City DJ's. All the details and timing of this wedding were wonderfully planned, which made for one of those special weddings where everything went just as perfectly as you would always hope it would.
From The Master's Baker... I met with Lauren and Derek back in February 2012 as we sat down to a full tasting where they tried over 11 different flavors of cake. They narrowed down on our Vanilla Cream and Lemon Raspberry cake with butter cream icing. They brought in some pictures as guidance and we then sketched out a design with a full cascade of the fondant flowers, ones she would be holding in her bouquet. They also wanted to give it sort of a shimmer so we talked to them about a pearl sheen over the whole cake which they loved! The sketch came to life on their big day (June 30th) as we included flowers in their colors such as Peonies, Roses, small clusters of Lilac's and Poppy flowers into the cascade onto the butter cream base coat. We are looking forward to having them come back for a complimentary 6" cake for their 1st anniversary!
