There are some people in this life that are capable of changing the tide. Whose level of skill and artistry is so on pointe, that you just know they are the real deal. The game changers. The people that set the pace for what the world considers beautiful or cool or must-haveable. They are people just like Aaron Delesie, Lisa Vorce and Mindy Rice. Designers, artists, genius alike. And the voices behind this ridiculously fabulous croquet party. Yep, I said croquet party. Because um, duh, a croquet party is basically the new backyard barbeque (who's with me?) and this one is so good, we're pretty sure you'll redecorate your house, your bedroom and quite possibly your whole world because of it. From Lisa... To kick off their wedding weekend, Brad & Sarah wanted a thematic welcome reception and something that was extremely different than their black tie wedding. Most guests were staying at the beautiful Meadowood resort, so we opted to utilize their amazing croquet lawn and created a fun, buttoned up yet informal, croquet party. Inspired by Brad and Sarah's love for "Hermes" orange, Mindy and I designed a crisp white and orange event. Brad and Sarah have extraordinary attention to detail, so Mindy and I had a blast catering to their love for them! We created a custom logo for them (very reminiscent of the Hermes logo!) that represented Sarah and Brad's relationship. We incorporated this logo on fun details such as their throw pillows on the lounges, their popcorn bags, and cocktail napkins. Each guest was given a pair of Jack Purcells as their favor - packaged in personalized orange drawstring bags. The wait staff donned thematic attire -- khakis, crisp white dress shirts, and thematic orange & white ties, and even Theo (Brad & Sarah's dog) was decked out in a coordinating orange collar on his coordinating orange bed and dog toys! Sarah and Brad organized a full tournament with prizes (thematically orange of course!) and the guests had a blast!
