Los Alamos Wedding from Danielle Capito Photography

Those infamous blue pumps with the sparkly buckle tucked inside the most ridiculous walk in closet literally makes every single girl from here to timbucktoo sigh at the exact same time. This happy bride gets those epic Carrie pumps, a gorgeous ring, AND the man of her dreams? Seriously, not okay. But what is okay in my book is the way Danielle Capito Photography captured every inch of this lavish ivy-covered secret garden with the greatest of ease. See even more here in the stunning gallery.

From the Photographer...Greg planned to propose to Kristen at their favorite place in the whole wide world… On the beach at Avila Beach, CA. He had been planning the weekend trip to California for quite some time and finalized the getaway in November 2011 when he knelt down on the sand, placed his grandmother’s engagement ring on Kristen’s finger and asked her if she “would be buried with my people?” (an old Irish tradition). Kristen & Greg chose to wed at the Old Mission Santa Ines in Solvang. Growing up on the Central Coast of California, missions are a big part of their history. The bride and groom wanted their guests to be transported into another time so they chose historical sites for both the ceremony and the reception. Kristen wore a vintage inspired, ornately beaded lace A-line wedding gown by Knightly. Her shoes, Something Blue by Manolo Blahnik, were a nod to her favorite show Sex and the City. She wore a pearl necklace a gift from her grandmother, pearl & blue topaz earrings borrowed from her mother.

The bridesmaids wore pearls, Steve Madden pumps, and unique vintage style lace dresses and headbands that matched their own personalities. The Bridal bouquet was designed with vintage garden roses, spray roses, tuber roses, gardenias, stephanotis, seeded eucalyptus, lamb’s ear and succulents. Bridesmaids carried bouquets designed in different pastel colors with vintage garden roses, spray roses, tuber roses, seeded eucalyptus, lamb’s ear & succulents. The Groom wore a three piece charcoal suit by Pronto Uomo and a grey tie by Sean John. The Groomsmen wore three-piece grey suits from Men’s Warehouse. The Groom’s boutonniere was made of roses & succulents matching the bridal bouquet.

Flower girls Taylor & Sicily Howard escorted their ring bearer brother Kyle down the aisle. The flower girl’s dresses were handmade with organic materials by Etsy shop Olive and Fern topped off with vintage style head pieces designed of spray roses & lamb’s ear. The ring bearer wore a linen knicker suit complete with suspenders and a bow tie.

After the ceremony, the party moved on to the 1880 Union Hotel in Los Alamos, CA. The outdoor courtyard was the perfect setting for a vintage garden party. Long dining tables lined with rows of garden roses, succulents housed in hand-made wooden boxes, and candles filled the venue with string lights above head created an ethereal atmosphere. Floral arrangements, personal bouquets & decorations were designed Kristie Van Horn, Dona McClure and a group of close friends. Kristen made a quick change before the grand entrance and replaced her cathedral length veil with a custom designed floral headpiece made of spray roses, stephanotis & lamb’s ear and donned her vintage beaded cape and carried a gold sequined purse, an heirloom from her grandmother.
